I recently installed GoSMS on my HTC ChaCha and after using it for a while, I uninstalled it to switch back to my stock sms application.... before instaling Go SMS, the stock app was working perfectly, but now I am experiencing a problem... The messages in the stock app are not appearing properly... When I open a thread in the stock app, all received messages appear at the bottom, and then I have to scroll all the way to the top to see the sent messages... but actually, the sent and received messages should be appearing alternatively to each other... For e.g. a sent message, then a received message, then a sent message, then a received message and so on... I need help!

check your signal strength make sure its not going in and out
power off your phone and leave it off for about 30 seconds
turn it back on and test sending a sms to yourself with the area code still
if no luck then continue on to
if the app is giving your the force close you could go into the menu/settings/applications/manage applications and find both or all of your downloaded messaging apps and the stock message app and clear data and force stop all of them. Hit the home key after and then try sending to yourself again.
if this does not work then i would suggest you resetting your phone and starting over.... or make sure that no blocking features have been added to your account if you are on one with someone other than just yo.
Hey Guys,
I'm running my XT720 on Khalpower's V4 Rom.
The messaging application I have is GO SMS on top of the stock.
However, when I get SMS'es and I open it from the notification bar, sometimes it randomly just disappears. Not just the notification but the actual message itself. It has been happening a few times in the past few days.
Anyone experienced this? Any idea what I can do to solve it?
Thanks guys, will be hoping to hear soon!
You stupid its there is not Enuf memory on your phone.

Err I don't think I'm stupid, I have 62M free memory and even my memory card has space.
Well, I suggest you remove go sms app, and also make sure you uncheck "delete old messages" in the stock messaging app. Now see if the problem arises again...

Well, got similar problem... I have the oficial manufacturer software in my phone. But it does not receive SMS or some SMS... No idea why...
Hi all,
Did a OTA update recently for HTC Sensation
Currently software information are:
Android version: 4.0.3
HTC Sense version: 3.6
Software number: 3.32.707.10
Bugs discovered are:
1) when playing music in lock screen, clicking the previous or forward button for a few times will automatically pause the music. No effect with clicking the play button to resume the music. Have to unlock the screen, go into the music app, press the play button there. At the same time, there is a popup message which says: Your phone is up to date, There are no updates available for your phone.
This happens frequently and i am annoyed with it. Rebooting does not solve the problem. Unchecking the scheduled check option under settings > about phone > software updates does not help as well.
2) the native messages app that HTC notifications does not work when any sms are received even though the settings are done properly. No notification sound, no vibration, no notification preview even when options are checked under settings. Tried using Go SMS and Handcent SMS, the notifications work, but messages typed in the popup notification when not in the app itself does not send out the message at all. which means i have to open the app and go into the thread itself to type out the messages to send.
3) SMS problem again. I realised an earlier message that i sent in the morning has been resent again around midnight. When i scroll up the thread to look for the earlier message, it cannot be found. The message showed up as the last message sent. Check with the recipient, and they confirm they have received the same message again. Messages sent from random timing are picked and resent again. This is really annoying. I am spamming people without actually doing it.
Has anyone got the same problem?
Is there any solutions to it except doing a factory reset?
No confidence that doing a factory reset will correct these bugs.
Miss GB as there are no bugs at all.
Where is this being released?
oh FFS not another thread about HTC OTA bugs, there are already loads out there, why create an entirely new thread
I keep trying new sms replacement apps and i really liked gosms and handcent but i have a glitch with them that i cant seem to fix
whenever i open the app i get a notification for a message that ive gotten months ago and already deleted long ago, when i swipe it away or click on it it goes away then comes back again as soon as i open up gosms or handcent but i never get this notification in my stock text app, and i can never get it to stop appearing in any other text app, ive tried as many different settings as i can in the new apps, and tried erasing all my messages, cleared my stock sms app and turned of stock notifications but still getting the notification returning, any ideas?
I have the same problem on my Nexus with ICS 4.0.4
Maybe its just a problem for nexus s w 4.0.4 cause ive tried them before when i had gingerbread and 4.0.3 and had no problems
I also had that problem.
Perhaps clear data on the stock messaging app? Maybe even delete the db associated with it? I would search up on that though as I'm just assuming it will automatically recreate it. I'm also not sure of the name of the file.

Over the last two months, I have not been receiving all of my text messages. In some cases, when I am looking at my phone, I see the message come in the status bar, but then it disappears and is not listed in any messaging app. I have uninstalled third party apps and have factory data reset my phone, but the issue randomly persists. Motorola had me put the phone in Safe Mode, but since this happens randomly, I cannot walk around with the phone for a week in Safe Mode. Has anyone else experienced this? Is their a fix?
By any chance... Are you using the SMS popup app? This app is causing some people to loose some texts.

No. I had been using Glowfly and NotifierPro, but uninstalled them. I lose messages even with no third party messaging apps installed.
