Does anyone know a good programm to control the phone via PC?
It should be a program like MyPhoneExplorer but should have a good keyboard support to write things on the phone. (With MyPhoneExplorer spacebar doesn't work)
Program to control Phone
Hey, have you tried Airdroid?
AirDroid is an excellent suggestion. Works like a charm
Sent from my Pyramid using XDA
thank you it works great
You can now use our VMLite VNC Server, the first and only VNC Server that works on any devices, on rooted or unrooted devices.
It provides you the full control of the device from a PC or from another device, with very repsonsive keyboard and mouse operations.

Has anyone had any success using remoting programs such as teamviewer from their mobile phone? I tried with my Excaliber today but it wasnt quite working. Id like to be able to access my home computer via my device...tell me any success stories or hints you may have
there's no TeamViewer for mobile..
but you can use z2remote2pc.. works for me
There are plenty of programs you can use for remote desktop purposes, although nothing (AFAIK) like TeamViewer (so you'll have to make sure that the server has an an open port)
There are plenty of VNC programs like:
- Mocha VNC (can connect to Real/Ultra/Tight/OSX VNC and Apple Remote Desktop)
http://www.mochasoft.dk/vncce.htm
- .NET VNC Viewer (Freeware)
http://dotnetvnc.sourceforge.net
And if you want to use the Remote Desktop protocol:
- Mocha Remote Client
You may also use the Terminal Services Client if your pocket pc has it (Check under programs).
oh wow, I didn't realize how many options there'd be, thanks for the insight guys!
logmein.com
try logmein.com
it works fine for me...
hi
all are trail version
any way to get wifi remort acees 1.7 software where we can access windowxp home and pc also
advance thanks
There is a beta version of TeamViewer for Android which can be downloaded from the TeamViewer website.
I just downloaded it... it works awesome.... Make sure teamviewer version 6 is also installed on your computer. Very easy to login. For I.T. , you can actually troubleshoot and reboot computer remotely.
Is not working anymore, and not available from the market, anybody knows what happened?
don't know about the market, but you can download it directly from webpage of TV:
http://www.teamviewer.com/en/download/index.aspx
anyway it works i've tested it over wifi and 3g and connections seems to be ok

I am a Windows user and i use Remote desktop alot. I have Remote desktop client on my Vibrant and connect to my Windows desktop. but i was wondering if there is an app to connect to android desktop remotely. i know you can connect to linux desktop using VNC. So Linux do support remote desktop is that possible on Android?
This looks like it should suit your needs...

That one appears to need root, there is logmein and its ignition for android software (logmein has a free package but the ignition is not free though) or you can try wyse, which works on remote desktop and it isnt free either. Not sure if there are other free ones that does NOT require rooting though.
He wants to remote TO the phone, not from it (the phone as the server, not the client).
As far as I'm aware, any app that does this will need root privileges in order to capture the screen.
Thank you. I tried driod VNC and its really slow. but the good part is the source is available... maybe i will take a look at the it and see if i can do something about it.
Logmein is not free its $30...
Yes. mine is rooted and even unlocked. so i am ready for anything new...
My bad, didn't read the entire post properly
Android Screencast
Android Screencast works pretty well. A bit choppy, but it works. It's in java, so it should work on any OS.

i have tried google and was surprised to not find anything. all i could find was a way to control phone via usb, and a whole lot of ways to control the pc via the phone. both are unacceptable. i need to control the phone from my computer via bluetooth or wifi. i am too poor to afford a wireless speaker system and this will accomplish the same thing (for my needs at least).
is there a known app, or some other way, i can control my phone from the computer wirelessly? the only thing i really need as an option is to be able to control playing music. if there is an app specific for that, awesome. if there are apps that offer more control, even better! but at a minimum, media player control is needed..
thanks for your time.
Just tried this out tonight on my g1 for fun. Pretty much can do anything on the phone
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=748914
Its free in the market.
thanks. that is pretty nifty. unfortunately there is that issue with US phone where you can connect directly to it.. makes it pretty slow. the changes happen on my phone pretty quickly (within 1 second usually) after input, but the update on the computer is pretty delayed.
this will do for now. if anyone has an alternative, please let me know!
Our new app, VMLite VNC Server, does exactly that, so you can control phones from a PC, this provides you an external keyboard and mouse, and you can view your device on the PC's screen:

plz help me i need android phone control on pc through wirelessly or via bluetooth source code plzz send me im very thanks full to you
Hi peoples. I am in seach of the best remote pc app. I have currently tried:
Phonemypc: Which is currently my favorite remote pc app. Navigation is easy and it has a mouse function where you can slide your finger and see the mouse move. Frame rate isnt that great but it has the function to tap into the PC/Laptops camera and view from your mobile device, you can also tap into the mic and listen.
Splashtop HD: I also tried splashtop hd which is very laggy even on fast wifi. The image is alot more crisp, but its just very dificult to use. They claim 30+ fps but I couldnt get it to work that smoothly.
what is everyone else using to control their pcs?

I've used splashtop with very little lag on good WiFi, and even decently on 3G. What's the upload speed on the wifi you are using your PC in?
PhoneMyPC does the job for my needs.
PhonemyPC on my phone, Teamviewer on my tablet.
Remote VNC
I am recommending Teamviewer.

Of course on market is version for ANDROID.
I personally connect via VPN and then use the "2X" app to RDP to other servers.... With an external mouse, this combination works perfectly - just like you are sitting in front of a windows box. I use this mainly for support (I'm a unix admin by trade). Now, I never even need to open my laptop for after-hours support! By the time my laptop boots, I could have already got in and fixed the issue from my Transformer!
Wyse pocketcloud is absolutely amazing. I've been using it on my phone and tab for a long time now and never wanted to switch. Also free
Best I have used is Splashtop. I've used VNC, RAdmin, RDP, and X forwarding on various platforms and distances over the years and Splashtop has been the least laggy for me. I've been using the client included with my TF.

Spashtop is nice, but the problem is that you need to install a client on the remote PC.... RDP is nice becuase it's automatically available on all windows systems... If you are only connecting to one PC, I guess that's not a big deal, but for professional use, it's just too much of a pain (and security issue) to install a spashtop client on a bunch of PC's....
I use the Xtralogic RDP client. It's an amazing RDP app that does absolutely everything. I've tried dozens of different RDP apps and Xtralogic beats everything I've tried hands-down. It's a steep price on the market, but I found it for next-to-nothing on a third party app site.

One of many reasons I use SSH unless I have to interact with a GUI.

Absolutely - I too use SSH for chararacter-based systems... But for Windows, the X2 app (which is free) is an excellent RDP app....
I use VMWare View. It requires you to have two windows server 2008 installations to do so(one as domain controller, and one in the domain).

What are the advantages of VMWare VIew - I've head of it, but don't know much about it - does it only work with VMWare, I'm assuming?
Thanks.
I create an SSH tunnel then connect using Xtralogic.
2x and PocketCloud Remote Desktop using VPN
I´m using 2X or PocketCloud Remote, which are working both flawlessly to connect to my Win 7 Desktop (when FW is disabled, eventhough exception for TCP 3389 is konfigured), using WLAN.
I´d like to use the apps, when i´m home by VPN (like jtrosky) but in this case, traffic from PocketCloud isn´t even arriving at my ethernet port, whereas traffic from 2X does, but the connection doesn´t establish.
Tracing on the Ethernetport on my PC with Wireshark, i see a TCP SYN-packet comming in from my Transformer, followed by a TCP connection reset-packet (RST ACK) from my PC, where there sould be SYN ACK-Packet. So the TCP 3-way-handshake doesn´t work out.
FW and other security stuff is disabled. Access to my NAS is no problem, so VPN should be the root of evil.
Anybody any ideas?
pcap-dumps attached.
THANKS!
For what it's worth, I'm going to change my RDP-app recommendation from 2X to Jump Desktop... I didn't think you could get any better than 2X (it is a great app), but Jump Desktop is even better! I *love* the fact that I can basically RDP to my remote server without even connecting to my VPN at all! It allows you to connect via the internet - as long as you load a "helper" app on the PC(s) that you want to connect to.
Works GREAT - it is now my go to app for remote connectivity!

That means, that you open a port on your router / FW, like using DYNDNS, right?
I like the idea, VPNing home and connecting to my PC from inside my LAN, - just feels more secure.
Greetings

Actually, that's the nice part - with Jump Desktop, you don't need to worry about any of that stuff - you just log in to your Google account (from inside the PC helper app) and then everything is automatic! No need to mess with port forwarding, DynDNS or anything like that - it's all automatic...
They have a free version - give it a shot - I think you'll like it!
Of course, you can always still connect to your VPN and use Jump Desktop to connect "directly" to your PC if you want to go that route. But, the option to be able to connect without VPN is a nice-to-have in case VPN access is down or something like that....

Hey guys, I'm looking for recommendations for a remote desktop app to interact with a windows 7 computer, currently I use realvnc or the MS rdp app however what I need is something that will allow me to go full screen and use finger clicks direct on the screen not a virtual mouse like the two apps I currently use.
Basically I have a piece of touch ready software and I want to use it off my galaxy tablet.
Heres what I need:
It must do fullscreen
It must be direct touch
and finally it must work without an internet connection
Thanks in advance
Tim
Teamviewer?
It is still not direct touch, but I find it much easier to use than realvnc in those regards. I use it on a tablet with a bluetooth keyboard and it's fantastic
Yeah I actually use that already on my computer however it needs to be direct touch, I also forgot to say that it needs to work on a LAN without an internet connection!
A friend at work says he used to use the bVNC app. It looks like it'll connect to your already setup realvnc server, and it was the only one he found that the touch input seemed to make sense. He said he switched to VLC players built in video streaming for what he was using it for though.
i m using only teamviewer and rdp
