Acoording to me this can also be done by:
1. Creating an image of resolution 480x800
2. naming it as logo.jpg
3. replace your file with the original one...in "/mnt/.lfs/"
4. finally its done... without running many softwares..
EDIT: i tried this method but somehow i m unable to replace....

UC kernel supports that method, but I´m not sure if the rest of kernels do.

Does it support other Devices?

Strange... I'm trying to use your program, I run it, I select an 800x480 jpeg file which is 48 kB, I press create tar file, select name and destination folder... and no file is created...

Try an administrator, or shorter path.

First, you need root and a ROM with a kernel supporting custom boot animations.
Then, copy the bootanimation.zip file attached below to /system/media/, and apply rw-r--r-- permissions.

It's that time again folks! A new CyanogenMod is just over the horizon and there needs to be a new unique boot animation for it.
Since the last time I made one of these, I realized that boot animations should be pretty, but they shouldn't be 30 seconds long and 15MB in size. So this time I made a boot animation that's small and pretty. It's only 2MB for the largest version! Also it doesn't have the version number or a mascot in it. Not that there's anything wrong with CID, I just couldn't find a way to work him in. And haters gonna hate...
Please enjoy!

It could be possible but it's not as simple, search in SM thread for more details.
I replaced the new CM10 boot animation (very good work) and replaced it with the android vaudiville boot animation which I also used on 4.04. Just my current favourite. You only have to rename the CM10 boot animation zip (I just add .bak) and then put the vaudiville boot animation zip in it's place. You will find the bootanimation.zip in /system/media/ so you should end up with bootanimation.zip and bootanimation.zip.bak in this directory. Of course, to return to the new CM10 boot animation just delete bootanimation.zip and rename bootanimation.zip.bak to bootanimation.zip

[MOD][4.3-Kitkat] Getting AllShareCast (Screen Mirroring) working on rooted devices

Hey guys,
AllShare Cast is Samsung's implementation of Screen Mirroring.
It refuses to work on a modified devices by showing this message:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",

The best solution is to patch the file libWFD_ENGINE.so in this folder /system/lib to disable the HDCP protection.
And for my own use I managed to patch this file for the latest Roms kitkat (android 4.4.2) by following this quick guide:
download and install IDA Pro
2. download and install WinHEx
3. download and install any text compare util
4. Open patched and unpatched version lib file of the same device (any device) with IDA
5. get text output of both files to the text compare utility
6. find the 3 differences. analyze where they are in the file (look for seacrhable text patterns)
7. open YOUR device's unpacthed lib file with IDA pro
8. find the correspondances found on step 6 in your own file.
9. note the line number (hex address) of each 3 correspondances
10. now open all 3 files on Winhex
11. jump to the noted hex addresses and change the bytes according to the difference of 2 files of the same device.
12. make the change on your own file and save.
Thanks to mrmrmrmr for the quick guide.
for the comparison I used the Exynos 5410 files from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2621550
Thanks to sorg
I am happy to share it with you but:
Apply the fix at your own risk.
Recommend to take a backup before.
Tested on my N7100 with last official firmware UFND3
I don't promise any technical support
You are free to use the fix in your roms, a little mention will be appreciated
How to:
Extract and replace the file libWFD_ENGINE.so with root explorer
in this folder: /system/lib
and give it the right permitions: rw-r--r-- then restart
For 4.3 roms
the file was patched thanks to doandu1234
the MOD tested on all 4.3 roms and it works perfectly.
for DDUEML3/4 users:
Do Not Flash The File....will cause bootloop
Just extract and manually replace the file

Click "Thanks" if this helps...

Just dropping this here to notice you all about this new dev tool. Just click the image above.

This tool is for themers right? Or does it help us regular users too?
Oh ok, went to the actual link and read it. Sorry.
But wow, this will indeed be a great tool for other themers. Great great work sir!
Make it a paid app on Play, this is undoubtedly some serious hard work!
checked my Theme and found no thumb.db in it.(yes hidden files in OS are shown)
Why should I use this?
btw: the "vrtheme Flash" and the "Universal Flasher" ignores Files that dont exist.
so the thumb.db files should be skipped by flashing.
But thanks 4 your try to help

Sorry xxmrgreenxx ... didn't quite get you.
You are saying that the tool did not deleted the thumbs ?
You don't need to 'show' hidden files in order to the tool work properly.
If you previously setted up your Windows box to not create those files (as I always do) you do not need this tool.
It's is directed to those themers that do not are aware of the matter and release something like this:
ZIP size: 220 Mb
Extracted: 251 Mb
Thumbs.db: 165 files accounting for 168 Mb [ 67% ] !!!!!!

Hi xxmrgreenxx
Thanks very much dude
I've detected what you've mentioned:
CLEAN_MORPHING=yes
But, let me propose the following scenario using UFS:
A themer wants to introduce a new set of battery icons, with 1% awareness ... ok ?
He will provide a new resources.arsc, the drawable xml's and all those additional batt icons (1, 2, 3 ...) that are needed to the job and, as so, he will have to set NO to that UFS flag. If there are ANY additional files they will be flashed too.
So UFS is 'safe' ONLY when CLEAN_MORPHING is set to YES ... right ?
Nice regards.
.
yes.
If there are no 1% Icons in your Rom you cant add them with "clean_morph/yes".

That's how it looks on 1080p. He just made it smaller. The exclusive 720p one is here

What??? ... I asked for a version that was compatible with our Harpia (720p) for that reason the developer creates one....
and the fonts are not in bold and strange... please see the full OP.
Because of me, the developer post a zip ""ONLY For Moto G4 Play""" ... it's 720p and the font looks elegant

The 1080p one looks like that, the 720p looks like this. He just made the 1080p smaller. He did not give you the original 720p. But if you like that one better, then use it.

Oh I understand now ! ... Thanks bro But I prefer the ResurrectionRemix Bootlogo, but the Rom has a a lot of bugs and the developer does not hear the feedback the same with ViperOS
There's no official zip to flash a bootlogo, it all comes in a OTA package, the soak test one exactly. I've just taken the logo.bin file, customized logo_unlocked to match logo_boot and made a flashable zip of it.

Exactly what I told him. This is the official logo.bin for G4 Play and that one is the official one for G4 Plus.

What's the error it gives you? Have you given the terminal root permissions? Internal storage is /sdcard.
