Hey Guys, I have the Samsung Galaxy S 4G updated to 2.3.3. My phone will randomly during each and every call I have reboot. This is annoying as hell. I've Searched around the Forums and noticed that people have said to remove your SD Card for 24 Hours. I've done this yet the problem still is here.
Will upgrading my Modem/Baseband to something like KI3 fix my problem? Thanks.
probably gonna get flamed for posting here. post in Q&A

Once we get cm kernel figured out by krylon everything will be stable. All the issues we have is because of the stock kernel.

Check in Development section of the Skyrocket forum. As for your question, YES!!! Most, if not all

Can anyone give instructions on how to change the Skyrockets boot image? I am running Macnut and the boot image that came with it is terrible. Love the rom though. (Not talking about the boot animation!) I've changed that already.

Thanks, but I have already changed the boot animation. I was wondering how to change the Boot Logo that appears before the animation.

Now, do us a favor and follow the "rest" of the instructions. You know where it says it will automatically perform a system dump and you can send it to the dev to help support your device. Do that! Its the only way we'll ever get supported

Will do...! Just got to find the fiver
Too bad there isn't a free or trial version to see if it works at all...??
To top it off, I'm not entirely clear as to the benefits of this vs CWM??
Chainfire... Hint, hint, hint
EDIT; I missed the two posts saying that the skyrocket isn't supported yet Oops.... Sorry!

If you have adb you can dump the files manually and email them to the dev no need to spend the cash.
Its odin bruh. Imagine being able to fix a softbrick on the go(I think). At the least you would be able to flash through odin without a computer.
Also just out of curiosity I wonder if the unbrickable mod could be ported to our device. That would be sweet!

UCKD5,DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO EXTRACT THE MODEM OUT OF A TAR FILE AND MAKE IT INTO A STAND ALONE ZIP FILE TO FLASH INSTALL? SORY FOR THE NOOB QUESTION,BUT IT SEEMS THAT IS THE ONLY MODEM WHICH WILL WORK PROPERLY ON MY i997 NO MATTER WHICH ROM I USE.. CURENTLY RUNING DLevROM NOW. HAD TO FLASH CUSTOM KERNEL TO GET BLUETOOTH WORKING,NOW JUST NEED UCKD5 MODEM AND THE LINK FOR IT ON XDA IS NOT WORKING.. ALL HELP IS GREATLY APPRECEIATED.. THANKS.

As i said, the UCKD5 link is not workin, check it and see but i do thank you for trying.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using xda premium
Easiest way would be to download a ROM that has the modem you want... Unzip the ROM into a folder and open it up.. There is a folder in there called "updates". Double click that folder and there are 2 files you need... redbend_ua and modem.bin. Now you need to create a folder doesnt matter what you name it.. within that folder create 2 new folders.. META-INF and updates. The modem and redbend_ua files go into the updates folder. The META-INF is going to be the folder that contains signature and updater script and update binary.. which in short is what tells cwm what to install and where to install it .... This is something that id highly recommend researching before you try it..
Just to emphasize... if you dont know what your doing you may be finding out what heimdell one click and odin are about..
Why are you yelling?
Try: Infuse Modems
I'm planning my escape from the digital world!
Sorry all..didnt mean to use all caps.
I do have a few roms and modems and i use odin alot..i will try the method you described..just cant find UCKD5 anywhere.

So then try a different one. Why that specific one? Why not the better UCLB3?

Alot of people, including myself will disagree with you saying that UCLB3 is better... There are others that are more stable and have better battery life... for example uckl2... It all comes down to personal preference and what works for you.
Battery life's been bad all the time so I don't even consider that anymore. I'm coming from an iphone that would last a helluva lot longer Lol.
