Hi, I'm compiling my own ROM project from source, and I wonder if I can remove the home "icon" on the app drawer for the stock gingerbread launcher2.apk? From source that is.
For example the latest LauncherPro have the option for removing/hiding the home icon on the app drawer, I pretty much want to do the same basically on the default Gingerbread Launcher.
Thanks in advance

has anyone successfully modded the gingerbread launcher (l2) to have a 5 column app drawer instead of 4?
it seems like a real smali headache to do so
Hi Guys.
I just rooted my Nexus S and installed CyanogenMod 7 (Stable). Everything is working fine but I have one possibly stupid question to ask.
Before when I had stock Android the app drawer had a 3D effect which is now gone. I have looked through both the Cyanogenmod settings and the ADW Launcher settings and I cant seem to find a way to enable it.
If someone could point me in the right direction I would be thankful.
Menu -> Settings -> ADW Launcher -> (I use ADW EX so it might appear different) UI Settings -> Drawer Settings -> App Drawer style
The ADW Launcher in CM7 is different from ADW EX and ADW Free on the market.
also launcher pro has the 3d app drawer effect, and its now working perfect on cyan 7. but to answer your question, cyan 7 comes wtih ADW lanucher, not the stock launcher. so ADW prob has to turn on that setting and it will work...or use launcher pro. or push the stock launcher back to your phone.
Thanks. I downloaded ADW Launcher EX from the Marketplace since that feature wasn't available in the Cyanogenmod version.

How would you go about pushing the stock launcher? As I also am running cm7 but want the stock launcher.
Thanks in advance.

get launcher2.apk and put it in /data/app or /system/app/ via adb / file manager
or find frank707's mod that removes adw and puts stock launcher, but you lose a lot of customization

Hello. I'm using ADWLauncher EX on my Optimus 2X Android 2.2 phone (rooted, but with stock rom). Anyway, i've just installed the Nexus S Gingerbread Theme, which has over 200 icons included, but still some of my apps in the app drawer have stock icons. E.g. Camera, Alarm, E-mail and so on, whilst most of the other apps uses the icons included in the theme. I've seen on various screenshots that the icons i'm missing is included elsewhere.
Does anyone know how i can get all the apps to use the Gingerbread icons?

idk how you would do it in the app drawer but you can change the icon when the app shortcut is on a screen not in the app drawer.
Hello everybody.
It's possible to hide an icon on iCS ? (Menu Launcher)
Software ?
Thanks.
Not possible without modding the launcher. There are launchers that have the app hiding feature though. Give GO Launcher EX a try.

No, but I've been loving ADW Ex with ICS. TeslaCoil's Nova Launcher is a modded ICS launcher and may provide the function you're seeking.
That app is in the themes and apps forum.
Hello,
I rooted my nexus s and was wondering how do I change the Icons on them? Do I have to download a ROM for a custom theme? Also I downloaded a icon package which I really like, was wondering if its possible to use them?
adw ex launcher lets you change your icons
or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1389071
Use a launcher that allows you to change the icons. If you're on ICS, use Nova Launcher. If not, ADW, Launcher Pro and GO Launcher all let you customize icons.
Keep in mind though, that for apps the icons are only changed in the homescreen, but not in the drawer.
That is true for all except GO!Launcher. It changes app icons in App Drawer. Otherwise you're right those are all great options. You can however change the icon in a system folder somehow... I've seen a tutorial on the forums somewhere, but it takes work.
