CyanogenMod 7.20 RC1!! - T-Mobile LG G2x

This is the stock cm7.2 rom i just reuploaded it because it takes forever to download, im guessing because it just came out today and everyone is downloading it. Like I said Earlier this is just a mirror of cm7.2 RC1 not my rom, no tweaks or anything added Download Link >>>> http://jooksc.com/update-cm-7.2.0-RC1-p999-signed.zip

hey thanks for the heads up on this i didnt even know it was realesed, does anyone know what happend to the CM nightl'ys in the rom manager? i assume that the mirror is just down or somthing, i just wanted to make sur that im not the onlyone that isnt seeing them, and before somone even ask yes i do have advanced mode turned on.

I've been running CM7.2 RC1 since last night. Wondered why there was no mention of it anywhere.
Runs awesome, no problems. I'm using Faux's CM7 kernel with no problems. OC'd to 1.5 GHz

how is this compared to nightly 225? 225 is smooth as butter, but im curious as to what the changes are for 7.2 RC1. any thoughts, new quadrant standard score for a basis?

Just flashed over to this from eaglsblood build 3, still to many glitches for a DD. But as usual CM is much more stable for a DD, and my Antutu benchmark scores are the highest yet with 7.2.0-RC1!

My only issues so far:
* Turning mobile data off then back on loses all ANPs. By that I mean no APN is lists in the APN screen. Had to reboot and reload default APNs. And this doesn't always happen.
* Photos taken have P990 as model name instead of P999.

Thanks for the mirror, it really was taking forever to download

Correction - damn you Nvidia and LG

Just noticed that Euroskank CM7.2 RC1 Kang is out as well: http://fitsnugly.euroskank.com/gigglebread/?id=p999

using ICS right now .seems like ICS is faster than cm7

I just went back to nightly 225 from RC2. "Skip on security" in Lockscreen settings was no longer working. After researching evidently others with different devices were experiencing the same with RC2. Also I experienced a random reboot this morning.

Wow what a difference.
I haven't flashed CM7 nightly in quite some time. Maybe 2 months. Tried this ROM and find it nice.
I believe CM7 is slowly turning into CM9 because so much of the details of ICS are just there in CM7. Not that I'm complaining. I welcome the change.
Going to see what else is there on stable. Hopefully it is stable. The last RC had terrible issues and just stuck with the nightlies.

CyanogenMod Nightly Build (OFFICIAL NIGHTLIES FROM CM ARE BACK) [MOD PLEASE CLOSE]

THIS THREAD WILL BE CLOSED SOON, A NEW CONTINUATION THREAD FOR DISCUSSION CAN BE FOUND HERE: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=23338370#post23338370
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
ATTENTION - official nightly builds from the CyanogenMod team are back up everyone! Check it out! ****http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=p999****
Check out this post for more info on the status of this thread.
First of all, all credit for this of course goes to the CyanogenMod team. I simply put together a little build bot to build CyanogenMod since their build bot seems to be out of commission.
This is simply a build of CyanogenMod with the latest nightly changes. I have changed nothing other than the name of the ZIP file, so it's "stock" CyanogenMod; it's just like a nightly that you would normally download from their website. You can install it like normal and run it like normal, etc. If there are any more changes, I'll make another build to include them.
**I also changed the ZIP files to include the time that they were built (in 24-hour EST time) to help differentiate the builds.**
**The G2X CyanogenMod nightly changelog can be found here for reference : If the changelog is down then checkout this link! Thanks to brentil!**
***The stock gingerbread LG libgemmdts.so library is included in all builds following the commit that called for it to be included***
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The newest build includes all changes up to and including "u8150: Disable ICS rotation animation (MERGED)" (This includes the new Blade style lockscreen)
Download it here: http://dev-host.org/X19
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NEW: ** The bot also automatically uploads all builds to this website: http://thewastedpotential.com/rom/ ** (Big thanks to not2nys!!) The downloads from this site are reliable and fast. For now, I'll keep uploading the builds to dev-host as well, but you can always check that site to see if there are any extra builds on there. But as a rule of thumb, the newest build and a link to it will always be found in this OP, above, in between the ---------------------------------------------------------------- dividers.
Thanks to wowsher and whoareyou at the CyanogenMod forums for the advice on my repo sync problems!
If there are any questions, comments, requests, etc. then as usual leave them here!

That would be the sod! Flash a different kernel??
I flashed #201 directly over my #190 with no problems thus far. I don't get SoD nor this magical battery life either.
I'm afraid if I push my luck too far, I'll end up with a build that has SoD. Faux has always had a good Kernel btw. Seems other kernels use his repository as a base.
Hmmmm well I'm using the latest build I have up there and I don't get a SoD at all...I am using the stock CM kernel though. So if you're getting a SoD with it then it may be because of a custom kernel if you're using one, or it might be some other weird conflict. If all else fails, go back to a different build or wipe data and try to install clean.
I've been using this since it first popped, without a single issue...incredible. I flashed faux's latest last night, and all that did was make the rom even more incredible. I know people talk about wiping, and maybe I overdo it, but I do the factory reset, cache wipe, system format, dalvik wipe...and then do it all over again, whenever moving to a new rom. Again, maybe overkill, but like I said, not a single issue...just serious speed and smoothness!

Dev's having been doing a solid job fixing all the bugs that have been going on especially the hard work mkasick was doing fixing sdcard issue that was prevalent on all CM9 Devices with sdcard's. Thanks EpicCM Team for your hard work !!!
dont forget to thank the QA Team aswell
Initial impression with about 20 minutes of use, it is much smoother than Alpha 5, and while I don't see corruption in video recordings, it does stutter, especially if you do a quick pan side to side. All I did was flash over the top of Alpha 5 with no wipes.
I'm posting in hopes it is just a result of me not starting fresh and others have better.
Did a fresh install.
Wiped everything, flashed Beta 0 and latest gapps.
The pictures in my gallery are still sorted wrong.
Maybe the gallery is borked?

This is a known bug. They will be working on it soon.
Gallery: There is a serious bug in the Gallery app where it thinks certain recent photos are from year 1969. This affects both CM9 Gallery2.apk and Google's GalleryGoogle.apk. We are trying to diagnose this problem.

My mistake, i was to excited and didn't read the change log in detail.
I thought the fix towards sd was for missing ringtones and gallery.
Either way, bravo team.
Coming from alpha 2 with Samurai Kernel...should I factory reset/wipe/wipe dalvik and then flash with new Gapps? A2 was my first time experimenting with another Kernal but I want to go back to stock cm9 here. Thanks!
Downloaded directly onto my phone via wifi and as usual, installed perfectly along with gapps right over a5. Totally sweet. Thanks devs, you do amazing work. Sad that HBO GO still doesn't work but thats an app issue, not a rom issue. Another donation coming soon. Thanks again for the wonderful rom.

you dont but hes coming from using a2 with different kernel and just so he doesnt have any problems
the gapps first was just alittle confusion during testing disregard, install like normal
The freeing of 36MB is pretty major, especially if "Convert drivers to CMA allocator" is still in the pipe with the move to the 3.0.x kernel (estimated to free ~34MB).
For those of you who haven't downloaded yet... mirror 5 is still the best.

I installed the experimental last night. No issues, everything worked normally. 1.2ghz was the max clock speed which was the only real difference I noticed from the Bruce KANG.
I will probably switch to the nightlies once they start coming out... well, nightly. I see no update today.

Yeah i am still skeptical as to whether this is actually a nighly as i have never seen nightly builds of any device running with an 'EXPERIMENTAL' tag. I think it was just one test build to test the water, if all goes well the nightly build bot should be started.

only thing i've found yet is, that chrome has graphical glitches like the bruce-rom.

Sweet! I literally just Odin'd my phone back to stock to do a super clean flash of a ROM and I see this. Guess this is gonna be my first one of many flashes this time around...:good:

Running smooth as silk with no hiccups yet. Might have found my daily driver for a while. And that's hard for me to do because I'm a flash addict. I do have a question though, will BMS play nicely with this ROM? If not, what will?

Decided to go ahead and give it a try, it installs fine, but gives constant reboots. The ROM has ran flawless ALL day up until then, so I'm guessing it was that. I was really hoping it played nice because I love the battery life that it gives. Looks like I'm on the hunt for a stable kernel.

Did you wipe dalvik/cache after flashing? Is the the kernel overclocked? If so try turning the clock down a few steps.

Agreed. You should always wipe dalvik before you flash a different kernel. Any of the KitKat kernels should be fine. I'm on ktoonz but have used dkp and BMS in the past with no issues. Not on this rom but it shouldn't matter.
Sent from my bad ass small block. SGS3 pimped way out thanks to. All the deva and the community. Many thanks to everyone who's made it possible for me to have the coolest phone in my area! For real
Yes, I always wipe before flashing a kernel. It was overclocked, and I did turn it down, I might try again tonight. Might give Ktoonz a try also.

Any way you can give us a quick idea of what things you cherry picked. I don't see anything in the OP about it. Sorry if I missed something, just curious what this has over the official AOKP nightlies?

This one is just straight. No cherry picks. Repo sync early Sunday morning CST. Didn't really see anything interesting to cherry-pick that morning.

Well the AOKP "Nightlies" aren't really nightlies if you look at the dates. Lots of changes since 1-20-14 that was last built.
New Rom uploaded!!!
Don't forget the new Gapps!
As stated previously...no cherry picks in this build either and changes can be found HERE
As of 2-12-14
Bad Upload...Fixing now
