Why not use the app? The one for ICS and the one for Gingerbread are both very nice

nice one..
great time killer now after get tired of games
Looks like this site just started up. They only have 9 tv episodes so far to watch. The movie section ends up taking you to another site where you have to sign up to see them, plus it only looks like a free trial for the movies, not sure, didnt want to take the time. I doubt this would work on HDMI since it is browser based using flash. I would say the site has potential if they can get some more content going.

Are you talking about iphonemoviez or some other site? From what I can tell the only reason that site plays thru HDMI is because it loads the movie into the HTC streaming video player which has HDMI out support. If anyone else know of sites that can stream using the HTC steaming video player that would be great knowledge to have...
Thanks for sharing, I have hulu on the phone but you can never have enough..
anyone filled out the credit card section thought?
I don't get it. It just looks like a bunch of links to pirated videos on megavideo. Nothing special really. There are a million questionable video hosts like that and with a Flash enabled browser you should be able to watch any of them.

[Q] HBO GO

HBO GO is now live. Anyone with a Transformer tried it?
Doesn't show in the market on mine, but does on my Fascinate.
I don't see it in my market either
If you go to market.android.com you will see that it is not supported yet. However, if you find an apk somewhere and side load it, it may work just fine although I haven't tried it yet.

Yup, I just saw this on Engadget:
"Update: Sorry Android users, but it looks like the only supported versions for the Android app are 2.1 - 2.3.3. However, we're getting reports that it does function in the browser -- so long as you've got Flash installed, of course. We're also told that the HBO Go site works just fine on the PlayBook as well."
If u click on the android police link it take u to the HBO go on market from your asus /Acer but when u click download it says your device not compatible...wtf? Lol

So I cant figure out what I'm doing wrong, on my laptop it works fine but when I go to the website with my transformer it just gives me the screen showing the coming soon for ipone, android, etc screen, no option to login. I have flash loaded and it is working fine everywhere else. Am I doing something wrong?
Not in market yet, and I can't get the site to open either from my transformer.

Set your user agent to desktop and be sure to use the stock browser.
Edit: BTW Game of Thrones is amazing you should watch it if you haven't already.

I have been loving Game of Thrones. Can't wait for the end of the season to read the book. A buddy of mine told me about the series and then said they might be making a show (early 2010). I have waited patiently and am ready to start "A Song of Fire and Ice"

Hulu through dolphin HD - modified flash apk?

Wondering if anyone has tried a modded Flash apk for the G2x that will let you watch Hulu through dolphin hd browser and get it working? If so, can you post how you got it working?
What is wrong with using the Hulu app?
I thought I read that there was more free content available if you were browsing Hulu.com rather than using the app. Kind of like mimicking a PC and fooling hulu.com that you were not coming from an android device.

You are right. The app is only for paid content. Also of note you may want to post this in HTC forum instead of the LG G2x as what may work on a LG phone may not work on a HTC.
Flash video browser from the market works fine with Hulu.

Questions about the Facebook Home suite.

So I assume that most of you have seen the announcement about the new Facebook Home suite that will debut on the HTC First and be available as a separate download after. I noticed, however, that it will only be available for the HTC One, HTC One X, HTC One X+, SGS3, SGS4, Galaxy Note II. Does this mean that there is no way that the DS will be able to support the suite?
doubt there will be official support, but someone may make it useable on this phone
Sent from my Desire S using xda app-developers app
It shouldn't be too hard to port it, if the s3 can run it so can the s3 mini and then from there the desire s should be able to run it
If I know right, Facebook will develop the Facebook Home for other devices too. The HTC First will come with the launcher integrated with system running on top of stock JB 4.1.1/4.1.2 so I hope we'll see also ports from that ROM. The only annoying thing is that, you would also get ads on your home screen(at least, some tech websites say so). But however, you can turn the Facebook Home off directly in it's settings, or by simply replacing the Home launcher app.

Here you go. Before installing, you must delete the old facebook app.
Works on my DS too! ViperSaga 2.2.0
I was reading an article on Gizmodo about a port already being completed. It linked to this guide and I tried it out. I thought it ran okay tbh, however there was a problem with the messenger app because it wouldn't let me reply to anything. I tried it out for a bit but I got fed up with it, it's very simple and obviously it's Facebook centric, I decided I don't need that much Facebook in my life. I'm perfectly happy with the app. I'd recommend that you try it though, your experience may differ from mine.
What advantages brings this app to the average user? Is it worthy to install? Will it ruin my phone experience?
Thx

I don't think it brings any advantages unless you're a heavy Facebook user. It's quite basic in it's function, I noticed that the messenger app stopped working properly when I started using it. It was very smooth and worked quite well in my opinion other than the Facebook Messenger experience. The stock messages app can be used instead so it can work out for the average user. It's a simple install so I'd suggest downloading and trying it out, you might like it and keep using it, if you don't then just delete it and go back to the way your phone was before. I don't think there are any risks by installing it on your phone. However, I'm not sure if it affects the battery life or not, I didn't really use it for long enough.

Installing Adobe Flash on Nexus 5?

Hey guys, long time lurker here.
I just got my Nexus 5 yesterday and I've been busy installing all my usual apps. I got to one problem, flash doesn't work! I use flash to watch streaming videos using an app called Teevox; I really hate browsing through the twitch.tv app menus to find a stream I want to watch.
Has anyone been able to get flash to work? I tried downloading and installing the latest APK as I have with any other device, but no dice this time. It seems flash may finally be really really dead on android.
You may want to try another browser such as dolphin, or firefox.

Hey, thanks for the response. I've tried using firefox and dolphin, and neither have worked. It looks like something either 4.4 related or N5 related causing it not to work anymore. I guess without any official support from Adobe, flash is basically dead on the N5.

damn right it is
Hope someone can get Flash to work on N5
This is one of the reasons I like Android..
Frankly I considered it dead ages ago. Using it now is terrible, battery draining, and most GOOD websites do not require flash on mobile devices anymore. Hell, even YouTube is rapidly phasing out Flash playback.

Those "good" websites require that mobile mode is used, so it won't work in Desktop mode. Also, many of them which show HD video, only do so in desktop mode as flash, but in mobile mode, quality is significantly decreased (probably due to the website trying to save you data on your plan).
OP, I too can't get Flash to work on my N5, but it does on my N7 and N10. If that seems to be the case in the long run, i'll just keep those two on 4.3, since I'm usually in desktop mode.

Interestingly enough, flash works on the N10 with 4.4 (in FF). I'll try on the NN7 when my girl gets home. So the question becomes, why not the N5?
Are you trying only in chrome? Chrome stopped supporting flash in 4.1. Has anyone tryed Firefox

Puffin can run flash.
Its free for 1 week, and then its a small amount.
Really like it, but love chrome for the non-flash webpages.
