On april 2011 (a whole YEAR ago) , Google introduced the "new" Google talk for android phones, with voice and video-calls support, and as far as i know, its the gapps version of 2.3.4 . Why our O3D dosnt have it? Its is possible to install it?

I tried using a method from xda forums, however I just screwed gtalk and made it impossible to use (this also happened on my x10) so I think it depends on the phone or something
sadly google is not updating any google apps beyond market/play or gmail
A few months back an XDAer posted a ported version. I don't know where I put my copy of it, because when I switched back to Froyo I could no longer use it. From what I recall you had to flash it, rather than side load, but it worked perfectly! It should still be on here somewhere.

I think the ones you used were from this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1056793
note: none of them worked on my o3d
Don't think that's where I pulled the file from. I did have a chance to dig through my backups from the Gingerbread days and found the file that worked perfectly here. I am pretty sure it was just a flash install, but can't test because I am back on Froyo. I really wish I could reference the author, and if you're out there please reply and take your due credit. I hope this works as well for you as it did for me!
argh can't flash, my cwm got screwed after I moved from 21a to 20a

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/161941/ <---- newer link (i uninstalled the previous one just to be sure it works first)
*I didnt make this plugin ... I found it by searching on Google*

::MODS please move if this is in the wrong section or has already been posted::
I went to chrome from firefox to test chrome to phone.
this gives me a reason to go back to firefox.
send to phone is on mozilla niceee
If you had the presumption that this may not be a development related post why'd you post it in development? lol. Making the mods work? (jk)

hi,
is there no option for entering die gmail-adress on the ff-extension?
because it does nothing when i hit the button
does not work on my installation. nothing happens when clicking the button.
firefox 3.6.3 with noscript. chrometophone-android.apk on froyo N1 installed and device registered.
Does it also work on 2.1 or only on 2.2?
It is a new feature in Froyo, so 2.2 only
chrome to phone and this plugin are only for 2.2 devices and im not sure if it works in all countries as of yet..
Great.. it works on my Froyo 2.2
FANTASTIC
I hate chrome, never loads pages correctly for me
So market.android.com does not recognize my device as compatible, I switched over from CM7 which worked fine, to MIUI just for fun and i cant remote install any apps.
This may be a problem

but is there anything i can do to fix it? I run on Tmobile
Same scenario and symptoms for me - NexusOne is only partially recognized by Android market. Partially is meaning that I was able to download the applications I paid for, but all the free stuff was not suggested for downloading and in Market Web page "Last used" field is empty.
Any ideas? I'v tried to google the answer, but may be I'm asking wrong questions?
how did you install Market ? don't tell me that you just copy and paste this(es) file(s) from CM7 to MIUI
because my phone running well both MIUI and Market

I don't understand the question. There was nothing to install - Market is a part of MIUI 1.11.4. And my phone is able to run Market, download apps etc.
Now, when I'm looking at the first post - I see the difference. I can install applications Actually my problem is that Market does not recognize my Nexus1 as connected - Last Used field is empty. An, obviously, that's the reason I can't get all my previously installed apps to be re-installed automatically.
ahhh , okay , sorry that i missunderstood your question ...
I've the same issue with htc desire/miui 1.11.11
did you fix it ?
Here's a little flashable to install my modded Torch app. Nothing changed in terms of the Torch app's functionality, just puttin a pretty face on things. Its safe to flash on all devices already using the torch app. This is a part of my Guru'd Nighly Build, but a buddy wanted this now, so here it be.
Like I mentioned, its safe to say that if your already using the Torch App from CM9, that my modded version will function perfectly on your device. This App is only intended to be used with ICS ROM's, mainly CM9. At this point, that's all I've test this app on. A word of warning: Like anything else you flash to your device, if any harm befouls your device, its no ones fault but your own. But you can be assured that I have never, and will never make available anything that I haven't tested on my own device. This app is no different. If you've got any questions, please feel free to ask. And if you like my mod, hit the thanks button.

I don't foresee any problems with this app, like everything else I post I've tested this on my own device. But any feedback would be much appreciated.
Thanks Ms Guru. Nice to see a different face making stuff for our phones. Thanks!
Suddenly, mine stopped working. Launching it would give error messages boxes.
Tried to uninstall it, removed all registry references to "Samsung" and "Kies", re-installed it. Same problem.
This is what appears now (Windows7 64):

Yes, there were...Windows updates ones.
It seems that, some now and then, a Windows update messes up some things. For instance, the calculator went beserk in the last update. Reverted the system to a pre-update restore point. Calculator OK. Couple of days later, the update kicked in again, calculator to the dogs.
In the past, there were instances where Windows updates would mess some things up and then just a short time later another update would kick-in and things went back to normal. Clearly MS is, sometimes, putting out some buggy updates just to patch them a week later.
What a wonderful IT world...I feel like I am allways catering for the latest blunder...Sheessh....

This is a flashable zip that will give you the Google experience on a non nexus device. Give it a try and report back with OS version
