alright i know the thread title is a lil misleading lol
so right now i'm using 3G on my phone and i'm using the connection on my pc via usb tethering..
i have though this before but i think i should ask this question to the community now..
when i'm using tethering my phone is also recharging and at the same time i'm also using tethering no big deal yes i know about this...
but the question is when my battery is full [fully charged] and i got the message battery fully charged unplug the charger.. so after this message does the phone still take charge from the usb wire ? if yes then this could be dangerous right ? or the phone does not take any charge from the usb which i think is not happening i'm guessing...
please kindly enlighten me..
regards
simmer
This belongs to the general section... Not here.
AFAIK when the battery gets fully charged, the charging stops. But if it drops by 1% the charging will start again.

I think it waits more. It happens sometimes that when pull off the charger the battery drops very fast to a certain value.

Whether or not the devs visit the general thread is irrelevant, this thread has nothing to do with the dev section, please post is the appropriate section.

+1 I'd take it back to Sprint.....sounds like a harware issue with the phone.

1. Try a different charging method whether it be from wall block to usb or vice versa.
2. Your USB connection is jacked up and a warranty replacement is in your foreseeable future
I'm a Sprint tech. We see this issue a lot. There's something wrong with the Evo phone/battery combination. If the battery gets too dead, it wont recognize a charge at all. I call it "the point of no return." Just take it into a Sprint repair center and they should be able to charge the battery for you Don't worry...your phone is not broken!
The battery for my sensation ran out completely due to normal usage and now it won't even turn on with the charger plugged in. When I plug the charger in the charging light flashes a few times followed by longer flashes with the light staying on longer and then no light at all. My phone shows no sign of life.
I was on 1.1.8 with rcmix 2.3.
Any suggestions?
Boot into bootloader , pull battery hold down volume and power button. Had same issue and it worked for me

Yeah, I have a suggestion, SEARCH BEFORE POSTING (sorry, I couldn't resist). There are several threads about this issue already.
That is scary!!!

but to answer your question... i don't believe there are any guides for that. and it does, in fact, sound like a hard brick. i would look into replacing it. if someone on here thinks of something i didn't or knows how to fix this.. chime in. but if i were you i would just get it replaced.
and fyi... there might be flaming towards you for posting this in the 'dev' section versus the 'q&a' section. be prepared.

If anyone knows a guide ok, otherwise I will replace it.
Wrong section
Wrong section!
r u able to go to bootloader ?.
seeing this as very tragic, I think there would be less people flaming. for it would be very difficult if you were on his feet. scary! hehe. but then, wrong section. is there a cut paste thing here?
did you try plug in charge and go to bootloader? it should vibrate if your charged.

Excuse me for wrong section.
In any case i can't charge this phone and go to the bootloader. always black screen.
Are you sure your battery is not dead? Try removing it / putting it back or try another battery.. There are known charging issues and theres a thread about it somewhere.
Aramis73 have you tried to remove the battery and keep it off for about 30 minutes, reinsert it, load it with the current and try to turn it on.
Did this just happen all of a sudden or did you do something you weren't supposed to?

thanks for your answer but the phone has no battery overnight.
this morning i reinsert the battery but the phone won't power on.
You should trade it in for a Samsung Galaxy S II, we have loads of people who don't understand forum sections, I'm sure you'll feel at home.
Posted from the baddest phone in the multiverse.
Question: How did you manage to brick it in the first place?

Sounds like you had the crappy recovery and got boned without a charge.
What you need is :
A. Another Sensation Battery to try and boot with.
or
B. A wallcharger for the battery itself alone.
Once powered back on you need to flash the modded Revolutionary CWM available here
So, after you have downloaded the above zip place it on the root of your SD and power into bootloader mode. It will ask you to update, agree & you'll be back in business in no time.
This is the best case scenario you can hope for.
Goodluck !

Chill mate! Just let the battery drain then charge to full. The problem should be gone after 3 cycles

looks like ur battery got corrupted..
but bfr rplacing batt , b sure of it..
Wait for a few battery cycles after draining the battery, don't interrupt the charging, when the phone says fully charged turn it off but keep in charging. A battery icon will appear and when the battery icon has 100% written on it, then the battery is actually full.
Also try using the non-overclocked version of kyrillos' ROM. It may solve some of the battery drain problems since the CPU is not working at insane speeds (insane for our phones anyway ).
It was a one-time event. The battery was not draining faster, but in the graph it showed this(see screenshot below). Any ideas? I'm on stock rom with stock kernel
Battery stats screw up from time to time. Reboot / recharge. It will come right in the end

That's quite normal if you have not used the phone in that period.
The android os has consumed 99% of the the battery drain of 24% and not 99% of the total battery capacity. When the phone is on the android os is always running and will obviously use the battery.
It is obviously a screwup, cause I used the phone, and usually screen consumes the most. A fully recharge resolved the issue

Eh?
Just edit the title to put "[resolved]" or something. Topics don't get "closed" and don't need to be. Moderators have more important things to be doing.

What more do you need to know other than sometimes it happens? It's a bug, it happens from time to time for as long as I can remember.
