Our main goal is to port the HTC Sense to all non-sense devices.

UPDATE: We will be basing the ROM port off of the Desire Z for all devices over the Desire HD due to landscape support in sense, keyboard support for Epic, and overall performance.

Are you going to wait for the Froyo source? Or build it off Eclair? It's not going to be easy, but I'm sure you already know that Sense is built into the kernel and framework.

O we know, we are recruiting the best devs around for this project. We were going to wait for the Froyo source on the Epic...for right now we are collecting.
The Epic's port will be based off the Desire Z source since it is closest to our device.
We don't know about the other yet...whether it is HD or Z that is best for those

If you can get the Desire Sense on the Epic....that would be a STELLAR phone....Genius Idea..if there is anything I can do, testing trying things out. LET ME KNOW
I would be no good on the developer side though...I have to google half the things you guys talk about... HAHAA

HTC Sense 3.0 should run on headsets with 1GHz with no problem,although I dont use the Sense UI because the 2.0+ Sense uses a lot of space on the screen.I guess we'll have to wait and see how the 3.0 makes a test run

I believe it will work. At least some parts of it.

There sure will be a few developers out here who will try it.
We have toe wait and see what the future will bring.
But I'm still curious how it will run on our HD2 and Desire HD's etc....

I think even though hTC have left us in the dark, the devs here will obviously port this to all devices that meet the minimum requirements. I mean the Desire, still doesnt have Sense 2.0 unless you root your device.
Looking forward to see what the talented devs can pull off.

I think it will be ported over to other devices! The developers over here at XDA are great! Before the HTC HD2 got Android unofficially thanks to the developers on here, people were saying the same thing "Oh it can't be done, it will never work" and what happened....it got Android running smooth as a baby's butt! Then there was the whole Sense 2.0 can't be ported over to the HTC EVO.....guess what baby?!...IT DID! So with that said, I hope a lot of people keep on doubting the abilities of the developers over here at XDA because I believe that only gives them more motivation to get things done!
Oh and I wasn't replying to anyone specifically in this thread, I was just saying in general because I briefly talked about this with two of my buddies and YEAH they were like NO WAY....CAN'T BE DONE....and I'm sure alot of people that aren't members of XDA and/or haven't seen these developers in action, think just like that!

Just a matter of time.. So may things has already been ported for devices they were never ment for.. (eg. HTC Sense is seen running on Sony Ericsson X10 Mini)
So it will be just a matter of time for combining the right drivers with Sense 3 before we see it on Legend, Wildfire and so on...

The devs in the desire hd and desire z forums are all ready on it, they sort of have it booting but it doesn't really work.
And I made it to the front page of xda, yay

Personally (and I'm not a device dev), I think an extremely large problem will be the fact that if Sense 3.0 is only limited to the Sensation / Flyer / 3D, all its textures are meant for qHD / whatever the Flyer runs at.
I'm sure that's an additional task that's going to take some work, in addition to the drivers...

The flyer is only single core and is clocked at 1ghz and will be running sense 3.0. With that in mind there is no reason why it wouldn't work and we can all ways over clock if we need to.

well over at the desire z thread someone found hdpi folders in the apps and framework...
so it might run on hdpi devices...but so far someone at the desire z got it booted but not with hdpi....the screen seems to be messed up...
but i really want to see this...i bought my desire z just a few weeks ago and id be soooo pissed when i can not have that on my g2...

This Thread is for the huge community who used the RCMix Evolutionary Sense 3.0.
Until Capy releases something new and better than this rom we should keep up the work on this one.

The reason was that he had found out something about the base. It was unity and not kingdom..

I'm sure he respects you for doing this, as do I. But I don't think capy can continue with the ROM, and I don't think anyone wants a repeat of last week.
Tbh, I'm with capy in this "argument", as I think he was mislead by a "friend", who he risked a lot to help last week, and who also lied to their fan base

So what can we do now? The ROM is great and there is nothing that as perfect as that one. It had its own kernels made by klquicksall and so on. That cannot be for nothing!
So many recognized and great developers helped fixing a lot of bugs. We should keep up the work for that somehow!

Yh,I was enjoying the Rom until this morning I woke up and realized it closed. That's Heart Breaking man. Still don't know exactly what is happening. Just know that Capy's having some trouble with the "License" from other roms.
Btw,can anyone pls fix the problem the phone Identity show that Model Number is Incredible S???

Samuel told capy is was strictly his base and not unity. Capy asked in the honey3d forum about the base, and Samuel admitted it had pieces of unity wiring that was used, but not mentioned.

I still feel capy woudn't have stealed the base (as they are quoting). Being such an experienced dev, if you have tried this ROM from beginning you would know how work is done in this. Anyways, people need to calm down and this is an adverse effect to the community. It's not good to lose dev's like capy.

The support is good, but kinda freaks me out robo, made a whole thread in dev section on top but the base was not what we were lead to think, so for the respect of virtuous aztec must be taken down and redone or something, they have not approved the use of that particular base.

Ahh!!!!! Capy, I will continue to use your Aztec until your next ROM. Please do not let other devs dictate your Builds. As far as infringement of Roms, they are all based from somebody else's stuff. The only original is a ruu. Your work is and always will be appreciated.

According to HTC we won't be getting Sense 4 on the Sensation, from them anyway

It looks like there are at least 3 different Sense 4.0 ROMS being released. Each is more stable than the next but BT doesn't work yet. OrDroid, Insert Coin, and Virtuous.
Try them out and see what you like. I have heard that they are not yet to Daily Driver stable though.
My Two Cents.

Aside from blutooth, OrDroid 1.7.0 has taken over the reigns of Daily Driver from Virtuous Inquisition 4.0.0

I use InsertCoin since first Release and only Bluetooth is not working but the rest is rock stable and more than good enough as a daily driver.
Its from the OneS Release keys RUU ( not test keys RUU ).
Give it a try its the best One out there imo.

Dev section is for when you know.. you're a developer and want to share a ROM... not to ask stupid questions.

Why is everybody on here so damn rude? The poor guy clearly doesn't go on these forums much and posted in the wrong section. Chill the hell out and get off your high horse. Did anybody have a heart attack because they saw a post that wasn't in the right section? Or did anybody have to pay 500 dollars to get the post moved?
And about the ETA, it's clear that the OP didn't mean it as a way to push devs to release something. Obviously just wanted an estimation on a stable release. No where did he complain or whine about a release date.
Anyone with an answer could have just stated that it usually takes a couple of weeks months etc. Damn its annoying to see people think they are better than others because they have a higher rank or post count.

Why dont you use InsertCoin Sense 4 Rom?
Its fast stable and everything is working only Bluetooth isnt.
The rom is completely stock and the best Sense 4 rom off all i tried.
Give it a go and i promise you will be happy.

JB keyboard for gingerbread?

Hey guys...so, I was recently given a glacier with a cracked screen that I repaired. I tried a couple JB Roman but unfortunately as of right now no one is really doing a lot of development for this old device just a bunch of ports with very little effort.toward bug fixes.
I decided to install the most supported rom I could find which turned out to be virtuous unity. Sense 3.0 android 2.3.4
I'm very happy with the rom. So far it is very fast and stable and does almost everything I want it to do.
My one major gripe is the keyboard. I got very used to the JB keyboard from a past phone of mine and nothing I've tried really matches up.
Is there some way I can install the JB keyboard on this old rom?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

They have jellybean and ICS keyboard in the play store. Plus gingerbread stock keyboard. Just a quick glance they have official evervolve and unofficial slimbeam both 4.3. Awesome did some amazing roms. To say there isn't much development I think is not fair. For such a phone to be so old and only one carrier(in the USA) and the carrier is the least popular of the four hoursmen I think says a lot

Little effort towards bug fixes? Are you kidding me? Devs like Elgin, coderzs and albinoman887 are ripping their hair out trying to fix some bugs. It's not very nice of you to say that's there's little effort involved. Try fixing them yourself and you'll find out why it's so hard.

Sorry about that, I didn't mean to insult anyone. Fro. What I could see it didn't seem like the roms that were being ported were getting a lot of attention after that. Coderz has been porting a ton of roms which I appreciate but I didn't think he was really focusing on making any of them daily driver stable.
The phone is super old and I'm just glad that anyone is doing anything with it at all.
Notori0us, I say that you're building a 4.3 and it looks like from your thread that you're planning on sticking with it and working the bugs out which I'm super pumped about.
Sorry to anyone that is working hard on making a stable newer rom for this old phone that I might have offended, I just haven't seen it yet and the threads I've read are suggesting using older roms.
And thanks for the info about the jellybean keyboard in the market, I had no idea it was that simple.

Lol I was porting a 4.3 cyanogenmod but albinoman887 put out a pretty good one already so there's no point.
I'd you find any rom on the desire hd, s, z or some other phone with the same screen size just pm me I'll try. Also I have a another 4.2.2 aosp rom ported. Just need testers.
Also what bugs exactly are you talking about, you should tell the Devs about it and try to troubleshoot it.

Haha, ok, I'll take a look at albinoman887's thread and see how active it is.
Thanks for the offer! I'm actually really happy with the Rom I've got right now just trying out a bunch of different keyboards.
I can't remember all the bugs I ran across, one of them was that the screen would continually flash even though the phone was off.
Anyway, thanks again for your help/offer, I really do appreciate it!
