How to flash:
-Download the file
-Place on sd card
-(Make sure fast boot is off) Boot into h boot
-When prompted select yes to flash
-Enjoy
-Delete PD98IMG off sd card

Would this work for another device? Like a mytouch 4g for example?

I'm not sure how you flash boot splashes on the my touch or of the resolution.

The animation is probably the wrong resolution. Open the .zip amd down convert the images to 480x800 resolution.

This guy is like the boot animation king.

Not a fan of Beats by Dr. Dre, they are kind of like Bose- expensive with no justification. Excellent port though, have you considered making one specific to XDA? I dunno why, I just think an XDA boot animation to be used by custom roms would be sweeeeeet.

Rename to bootanimation.zip
Copy or Move it to /system/media
(Be sure to rename your current bootanimation.zip file for easy revert)
