[Q] No BLN? CNA 1.5.5 + Matr1x 18.0 - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm currently using CNA 1.5.5 and Matr1x 18.0. When I go to BLN Control, it says "This liblights does not support BLN" but I know Matr1x 18.0 has BLN support and I used Matr1x with stock ICS before with BLN support.
Is this a bug with the new CNA 1.5.5?

Try removing BLN Control and install/setup NSTools. Setup BLN and then make sure the service is checked on in the rightmost tab. It supports missed calls like the BLN Pro app.

In the NSTools app, have you enabled the service on the setting tab?
Change your kernel into one that supports BLN

i have been using matr1x 18.5 and 19 with codename 4/12 RC 4/12,13,14 nightlies and BLN works with each one just fine. Try this: uninstall bln control, go into recovery and wipe dalvik cache (and cache if you want) then re-flash matr1x 19. then reboot system. tell us if that works.

[Q] [i9023] BLN with JB 4.1.2 factory ROM and *Matr1x* cfs v23.5 kernel

Hi,
I just flashed *Matr1x* v23.5BLN kernel for BLN support, but it does not work on my Nexus S i9023. I tried BLN control and NSTools for activation, but without any success.
Does anyone have experiences with BLN with the same configuration?
Thanks in advance

That's my same issue.
BLN can be set with some difficulties on JB.
In my case, I'm using Marmite kernel. BLN works, but I cannot keep the lights on.
... indeed: in testing mode within BLN control, lights go on but not when
a call or sms come in I think the best thing is to move from
factory to CyanogenMod or another custom ROM
BLN problem

Correct!
I'm using stock OTA 4.1.2 and matr1x 23.5 kernel, flashed using TWRP recovery, installed busybox, activated through NSTools.
BLN works excellent on SMS and missed calls. Blinking works fine too, OC 1.2ghz works fine also.

I did nearly the same: self-installed stock 4.1.2 via update from 4.1.1, CWM recovery, DooMLoRD_v4_ROOT-zergRush-busybox-su - will try CyanogenMod M2 today

CM kernel already has BLN included IIRC. You can use Devil Tools, NSTools and many other software to control it.

Because BLN control can control Neldar implementation only as far as I'm aware. BLN in CM is CM own implementation which differs a bit. Use another software, or through an init.d script.
