Full Playstation Suite add-on apps (custom roms and beta) - Xperia Play Themes and Apps

Update = Works on ICS official beta rom without changing anything in buildprop. Just flash and enjoy
Attached to this post is a update zip i created with full Playstation certified permissions and new Pocket and Store apps included. This also should work on any 2.3.4 plus custom rom like cyanogen and even non-sony device's even better with a bit of buildprop tweeking.
Update (30/4/12) - I noticed there were some issues installing PS store as a system app (Black background instead of Blue) so have made a new update with the (lets get Playstation app from Xperia S and what we will have on ICS. All the app does is download PS pocket and PS store (latest versions) and you can install as user app's.
DOWNLOAD - UPDATED ZIP PLAYSTATION WITH FRAMEWORK
Step 1
Flash update zip in recovery to install all that you need. Make sure you backup first.
Step 2 (miss this out if on ICS beta or a stock based R800i rom)
To be able to get into the store you will need to change your buildprop file in system folder using root explorer or something to look like this screenshot below. Any model number listed under final properties section on build prop needs to be changed to a playstation excepted device to be able to accses the store's. The software version should not matter as have also tried this using Ics version 4.0.3 and others.
Step 3
Reboot device and then should be able to shop.
Current excepted device's please use 1 of these model numbers =
Japan and UK stores open

Xperia™ S, ( LT26i )

Well not going to stop here with r800x. Its got to do with something in that final patch of properties section as it does with 2.3.4 and up. have you tried changing the 2.3.(3) into a 4. this should work on any 2.3.+ somehow we just need to find it. as said have had this working on a few device with diff software versions so doubt that thats the issue. try to skip errors if happen as normally will fix on another start up.
Are you using 3g or wifi? so we can tick things off the list as we go along.

I have tried changing it to look like 2.3.4, error code, tried using wifi & error code, 3G error code.

Any other thoughts/ideas on this? I am not really good at hacking the software. I mostly try to go after applications and games from other countries that are only available to certain areas. I like trying to get past all those hurdles and get to the stuff I am not meant to get due to where I live. Because releasing a game or application to a specific region only and not world wide is silly in my mind.

PS store always force close if i press option button

PlayStation Store works perfect for my Xperia play R800at flashed from 2.3.3 to 2.3.4 and rooted with locked bootloader. Had same errors as above until I flashed to 2.3.4 and applied Team Stock's firmware add-on. Once I was all set up again tried PlayStation store again and it worked on first try.asks for region and that's it. Tried u.s. Region which had no content. Tried u.k. Which also had no content. Tried Japan and finally got some results. Too bad I don't have a Japan account...sad!!!

If you are using Root Explorer this is the location:
/system/build.prop
Long press and select "edit in viewer"... make your changes, select menu, then select Save & exit, reboot and you are golden..
Be advised messing with build.prop can be very very bad for your phone if you mess someting up so everyone be very very careful

TEST FAILED
I get the "error ocurred (8008103E)"
How can I fix this?

Could flashing darkforest rom 3.0.5 and then re installing help?
Sent from my R800x using XDA

It works for my Arc .
I flashed the .zip and modified the build.prop file to R800i and rebooted, it gave me an error first, but then i restarted the apk and it worked!
The only thing is, there are no games, and everytime i push the option button, the app FC..
I'm on ICS Beta 4.0.3.
EDIT : I downloaded the Original Playstation Suite apk's from here playstation.com/pss/store/en.html
and i installed them on top of the other one's and now erverything is working, even the option button works!

I'm on R800x 4.0.3 CM9. Would I be able to do this?

Works well on the Play beta, thanks.

pspocket works but games crashes

What exactly is available from the PS suite?

How long till canada store opens :/

You need to kill Market using a Task Killer and the re-open it for the changes to take effect. Or just reboot your device!
Guide:
1.Install Market Enabler application to rooted X10 (you can find download link in my previous posts)
2.clear cache(Settings/application/Manage Application/market and clear cache ) of the market and click force close (just in case )
3.Open Market enabler and go to settings list
4.Long press on any item and select "fake this provider now"
(you will notice operator numeric change)
5.Go to actual tab and click save current settings and close app
6.Open market and check as below screen it works.
Note:
In the steps 4 & 5 you will be prompted for superuser access. allow it.
If failed, try other providers, Im not sure this have 100% success rate.

doesnt work. market place is still extremly slow and still cant see paid apps tab.
OK One more thing:
Pls see my previous post and screen one. this is the first screen you will get when open market,
IF any one got successful on this and once your go to applications or games tab in the market "Top Paid" might be missing.
I had the same problem before
Fix for this: (only need to do one time on the phone)
1.Go to /data/data/com.android.vending/shared_prefs/vending_preferences.xml
2.Copy this vending_preferences.xml to SD card and mount your phone and open from notepad (you can do this within the phone itself)
3.Find {boolean name="metadata_paid_apps_enabled" value="false" }
4.Change it to {boolean name="metadata_paid_apps_enabled" value="true" }
5.Copy this file back to SD card
6. replace the original vending_preferences.xml with the modified one on /data/data/com.android.vending/shared_prefs/vending_preferences.xml
I used root explorer to copy file from data to sd card and over-right the modified file from sd card to data folder.
Im sure any developer can make a dos command for it. but this is the best I can do.
PS:
When I got my phone from SE, I didnt had market even in my phone.
Even im not getting 100% sucess everytime I try this. but for me 3 providers working its [de]O2, [au]Telstra, [ie]Meteor.
Good luck
Does anyone know the settings for Canada (Rogers) ? Thanks.
i tried with all the list and i can´t find tapatalk pro and appmundial....
Im from spain, and i used to have this aplications.... :-(
@elgorgon,
Do you see other paid apps in the market except tapatalk?
This is the QR code for Tapatalk Forum App (Pro)
try if this works.I searched this too, market says its not available, only free version showing in the market. hm....
@synlar,
For Canada-Rogers try any US provider. it should work.
But Canada by default have paid apps support. Source

HTC EVO 4G Sprint Stock Apps Downloads for Sprint OTA update 3.70.651.1 12/28/2010

If you have Rooted your EVO 4G from Sprint and you are in need of the stock apps for any apparent reason below are a handful of the stock apps that come with the Evo4G such as the Sprint Zone, Sprint TV and Sprint NFL for all of the fans out there. If you pay the extra $30 to Sprint to be a HotSpot below is the stock app. I pulled these from my Evo and all of the apps should be updated as of December 28, 2010 with the Sprint OTA update 3.70.651.1.
If you have a custom Rom be sure to enable, Unknown sources, “Allow installation of non-Market applications. Download the app, and install. There is now need to download and unzip. You should be able to install these apps without a PC.
I also included a couple of the HTC Apps, such as the battery widget and HTC Radio. If you have any questions let me know of if you need any apps also let me know.
Since I'm new and this system sucks I can place links for these apps, ask me which ones you want and I will send you the link.
If you experience problems with Swype, such as FC or others, sorry you are on your own, for me I was only able to get it work with Build Number: 3.70.651.1 CL294884.
My previous post for Sprint Stock Apps, was a success over 1000 downloads within a month, but only one donation please do the right thing and BUY ME A BEER!.

Download the app, and install the app. You may need a file manager. I recommend Linda Manager
Downloaded Swype and Block Buster.. Using Astro to try and install them.. No good.. Can't install.. Do I need the latest OTA to do this?
Also, I'm running Myn's WarmTwoPointTwo RLS4, with Sense removed.. Would that make a difference?
Do you get an error message, and yes Swype it may only work with the latest OTA.
Yes, I get an error message.. Using Root Explorer.. "Parce Error There is a problem parcing the package."

Not all .apk packages are self-installing. Sometimes it is necessary for you to place the .apk file in /system/app. Make sure to remount / as read-write. It was necessary for me to reboot before teeter was recognized.

As I stated in the description if you do not have Build Number: 3.70.651.1 CL294884, you may have issues. Swype is not compatible with any older software versions, and I have not tested it on any other ROM's. Blockbuster may have the same issue. I would recommend updating your ROM since it is a few months old.
I'm kinda at the mercy of the developer there.. There hasn't been a public update in awhile.. Over a month actually.. But I donated, so I hopefully I get the beta testing rolling for his new releases..
OP: Not to beat a dead horse, but your not allowed to post Swype on xda. Sorry to be a downer as I like Swype but you should probably remove the apk or your thread will get locked. This will save Xda alot of issues.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
So, it sounds like these only work if you use sw version 3.70.... too bad, I'm not really interested in that update. But, I thought that update had a reader app. That, I would be interested in. I saw it in one of the 3.70 roms I tried, or maybe is was a desire hd or desire z port. Maybe I'm wrong. Was sure hoping to get that reader.
As for swype. Flash a 3.70 based Rom. Backup swype with ti backup. Then go back to your Rom of choice, and use ti backup to restore swype. It works on all my old roms and I did it that way, (or maybe I got the zip for it before xda pulled it, I forget now). Any way, you can try that method if swype not installing.
I think swype is terribly overrated actually. Not really worth the time.

Put the file in system/app and have version 3.70.651.1. Any ideas?
Also, can anyone tell me what the newest version of SprintTV is? I may already have it running.
Yes, I have to remember swype is still a no no too.

[APP][ROOT][2.1+] Wi-Fi Reminder v1.0

Hey guys, this is a little app I've done. Hope you like it
I don't know if it will work in every device/version (but it should). If you tested it, please report whether it's working or not (please post device, android version and kernel).
Have you ever forgotten your network's password? Did someone else set it up, and you need yo know which you pass is?
With Wi-Fi Reminder, that will never happen to you. It has a very simple and intuitive user interface, and it's extremely easy to use!
All you need to do is launch the app, give root permisses, and in a few seconds you can see all the networks you have previously been connected to with it's password.
It has two languages: English and Spanish.

Beta3 uploaded
I've just uploaded beta3. But this time I've made two versions: beta3 and beta3_logger. The only difference is that the logger version will create a file named "WiFiReminder.log" in the root path of your storage (/sdcard/, for example) with some things that hopefully will help me make it compatible with more devices.
Apart from that, in this version I've added another algorithm to try improve compatibility. Apart from that.. I don't thinks there's nothing I can do without that actual device. Sorry
If beta2 is already working.. there's no need to install beta3. Otherwise, please install the logger version and send the log through PM please.

How To: Install Sony's New PlayStation Mobile For Android On Any Rooted Device

Sony's PlayStation Mobile for Android just went live for certified devices last night. But what if you don't have a certified device, which so far includes only a number of Sony phones and tablets as well as the HTC One series? Heck, I have a One series device - the EVO LTE - but turns out it's not certified. That's just silly.
Not a problem - if you have root on your phone or tablet, getting the PSM (PlayStation Mobile) apk to work is a matter of pushing a few files it relies on to your /system directory and rebooting. Original credit goes to XxXPachaXxX - I used his work from a few months ago, took out some extra unnecessary Bravia engine stuff, and repacked it into a flashable zip for use with the PSM.
Here is PS Mobile running on my Nexus 7:
{

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
On the Nexus 7, I was able to play the free game and successfully tested a paid game called Fuel Tiracas. They both worked wonderfully. I also bought Samurai Beatdown, but for some reason it didn't install right (I tried 3 times but the download just said installation unsuccessful, hmmm).
Unfortunately, PSM crashes upon loading the store front on my EVO LTE. If you're not using a certified device, don't be surprised if it crashes on yours too - after all, it wasn't certified and, therefore, not tested.
HERE IS VIDEO FOR INSTALLING THE PSM
video BY Devicecustomizer
Step 1.
Download and install the latest PSM apk from Sony. I mirrored the current version, 1.0, here:
http://www.mediafire.com/?7wvag1n78y2a393
http://beta.androidfilehost.com/?fid=9390113915771290046
http://d-h.st/cyF
http://www.mirrorcreator.com/files/MAMYVY06/
If you try to run the PSM app now, you'll likely get this:
Step 2.
Download the flashable zip I packed from one of these mirrors:
http://beta.androidfilehost.com/?fid=9390113915771290047
http://www.mediafire.com/?sd2upzy00m1x5e6
http://d-h.st/hr8
http://www.mirrorcreator.com/files/1GZFXIM8/
Step 3.
Note: Just to be clear once again, you have to be rooted to install the helper files com.playstation.playstationcertified.jar and com.playstation.playstationcertified.xml. If you're not rooted yet, first figure out how to do so to your device and then come back.
Flash the zip from custom recovery, like ClockworkMod or TWRP. This relies on having busybox, which if you're rooted, you likely already do.
Alternatively, if you don't want to flash from recovery or just like to know what you're doing, you can perform the steps manually while booted into Android:
Unzip the zip file downloaded in step 2.

Same here, hoping that someone will find a fix for us International GS3 users.

[APP][I9500]Working version of Cydia Substrate for Galaxy S4 I9500

So people who have in the past had jailbroken iPhones would definitely know about Cydia and Winterboard.
The good news is its arrived for Android. Bad news, it's still in the beta stages and knowing the fragmentation on Android, it doesn't work on stock Samsung based ROMs for I9500. But that's changed now.
So with with the help of the developer of the app @saurik , here's a version of the app that works for the I9500. I have tested it with DocRambone's ROM. It should work for all ROMs XXUAME1 onwards.

Link to the apk that works on I9500. Download APK here
Prerequisites: You need to be rooted. I haven't tested with other versions of Galaxy S4. but you may test and I shall update the OP accordingly.
Failsafe Boot option: After rebooting, if the phone gets stuck on recovery or doesn't boot, You could either try booting with the Volume up pressed, or simply delete /system/vendor/lib/liblog.so to deactivate Cydia.
You need to install Winterboard after you have Cydia Substrate installed. Here's the link to the app on Play Store. DOWNLOAD HERE
Please test the apk on various versions and phones so I can update if it works for other iterations of the S4 too.
Reserved. Just in case.
Are you sure this works? Because I've tried using the apk from the market, it didn't work.

Yaa. The market apk doesnt have the fix. I sent saurix the liblog.so from our phone and he's patched the apk to work with it. And the link here is for the new apk.

It basically allows you to run themes that otherwise won't work... More like a theme chooser for CM but for all ROMs.. The only problem I see is the fragmentation that exists. Those phones which are close to stock like Sony ones, would benefit way more than phones like ours, where possibly nothing is like Stock Android..

I believe the issue here is that the version tested by adyscorpius was 0.9.4003. I quickly found a regression in 0.9.4003, and followed it up with a version 0.9.4004. However, it turns out (I did not realize this at the time) that the regression was actually part of the fix for the S4: Samsung mixed some symbols that are normally only in libcutils.so into liblog.so; as the fix for the S4 involved a number of extra symbols, it seemed like these would likely not be required.
I then got word that it no longer worked correctly on the S4, and I came up with a solution that works on any device (I forward symbols to either liblog.so or libcutils.so as a fallback), and this was released as 0.9.4005. It is highly likely that as 0.9.4004 came fairly quickly after 0.9.4003 (due to the large number of people testing on non-S4 devices, including myself: I caught it before I even published 0.9.4003 to the Play Store) many people here tried 0.9.4004.
FWIW, I would have guessed that while some background daemons on the S4 were affected (I pulled a stock ROM and did some static analysis to figure out what would have been broken) adb and USB would still have worked, allowing Substrate to be easily uninstalled. If this was not the case, and you were operating with a locked bootloader (and thereby were unable to just pull the resulting files via custom recovery), then I'm really (really) terribly sorry .
In order to keep issues like this from ever happening again, in 0.9.4005 I also developed a system that would be able to detect symbol conflicts: the setup application now would have detected the issue, both the original pre-0.9.4003 conflict, as well as the 0.9.4004 conflict, and would present a message to the user telling them that Substrate is unlikely to work. With this change, I'm pretty certain that Substrate is now able to detect all possible harmful conflicts.

Oh, another detail: a few days ago, I ran into a friend of mine at a meetup thing that had just gotten an S4; I took the opportunity to root it, and verify that things worked on it: it did (tested at the time 0.9.4006, I believe). However, Samsung seems to have some one-off (Samsung-specific) programs on their devices that I currently beleving are using unitialized memory. I saw this both in reports of people testing 0.9.400[34] as well as myself when I had a chance to work with the device.
In 0.9.4005 I took the solution of blacklisting one of the processes (/system/bin/ks) and in 0.9.4008 (probably coming out tomorrow) I'm going to be blacklisting another one (/system/bin/mcDriverDaemon). The latter process doesn't seem to have any side effects when it fails, but the former causes the radio to not work (in case anyone saw that symptom with 0.9.4003, so that's fixed in 0.9.4005 and later). Neither of these failures keep the device from bringing up USB, adb, and su access.
I apparently am not going to be able to test personally on an S4 again until Thursday (six days from now), but when I do I hope to be able to remove the couple blacklists and allow modifications to those apps. (As these issues aren't fatal, the latter doesn't seem to even have a symptom, and in both cases was trivially fixed by blacklisting, I'm having a difficult time justifying going out and purchasing an S4 for this test--which I'd normally do, but Thursday isn't that long from now.)
I would love that on my s4 Im running latest omega on my s4(i9505) but it go to bootloop... Any news about update come in on?

Cydia Substrate looks very interesting. Just wondering under what license it is released? Open or closed source?
Open source and it could be a nice competitor to Xposed. Closed source and I will always go with Xposed instead.
