ummm, this is a development site for a reason. Searching sometimes takes more then 2 tries and reading 1 thread. We can't help lazy. The information provided by Dar was the short form of what was/is a long stretching debate. You really should thank him since I can tell already you don't like to do more then the minimum work to find your answers. If you want touchwiz that bad and don't like go launcher, get an S2. Those are your only options.

I love that line. Reminds me of Ron White's You can't fix stupid. Someone should get that integrated into the site header. (Sorry to be off-topic)

Yep it's unbelievable!!
Either buy an ISnob or look in Dev section for things to make your phone look like one....... Have fun
Seriously this is the third post this week about iphone ROM! You need to search this forum using the link in my sign. You will find a lot of iphone stuff in here.
There is no iPhone ROM. Just masses of iPhone clone apps if you want that look.
Have a search in the Dev and Hacking forum and see what you find

Droid X Launcher

I'm wondering if anyone has created a themed launcher pro that looks like the Droid X launcher? I've seen there are some for other phones, but not the evo, that I can find at least. Or can anybody put up a guide on how to theme Launcher Pro?

Go knit-pick somewhere else, no body cares about your statements. Go SPAM on a different thread and boost that post count up, son.
And by the way, my sentences look pretty correct to me. You should probably look at your own sentences before criticizing someone else. Just a word of advice on this here internet.

I really wish people would start punctuating their sentences correctly. For example, putting a question mark at the end of question.

Yea, I realized that was probably the case after I posted, but left it since it's all in humor.

[Q] Porting the Galaxy S contacts apk?

I was playing around with my friend's captivate and the contact list had a pretty cool feature of swiping on the contact to call (swiping right) or sending a message (swiping left) I was wondering has anyone ported this over to other devices? Would be cool if it can be ported to work with cyanogen mod. Or if anyone else wants to try to do it, that would be cool.
I was told might get a better answer in this forum.
Sounds cool. Is it a modified version of the vanilla contacts .apk or something complete different?
well i got it happy enough to install, but it fc's...maybe ill take a look at it tonight...
this may be a very tough port though, it appears to depend on alot of samsung stuff

I don't know about other people but besides the touchwiz launcher, how Samsung modified the OS is pretty nice, been playing with the Captivate a little more, and I have to say I like it a lot.
I accidentally deleted my contacts app on my captivate :-( I will be interested in this thread... perhaps I can get it back!

why wouldnt you just ask for it in the captivate forum
Well, because the discussion here is about exactly that apk, no?
Sorry if I misstepped.

OP is looking for someone to port it to incredible. to me, it would seem the simplest course of action to recovering a deleted apk from my phone would be to ask someone else who has that phone. hence going to captivate forum to find a captivate apk. im sure someone would post it within minutes, or you can pull it from one of the possibly many roms that are already there.
OK, thanks for the tip. Please excuse my NOOB-ness.
I'm interested too.
It's a pretty cool feature.
I had a Samsung Wave with this feature and it's very useful.

Not sure...ask the dev if that's what he used. It's possible. This launcher is nothing special to me, I used to have an X10 so it was one of the first mods I did.
Someone may recommend the dev for RebelROM to try this? I would, but I'm unable to post in the development section yet... Compared to what RebelROM has, this looks a bit more full-fledged. Those widgets and extra features could do some good for RebelROM!

No need to recommend anything to the dev, just flash the launcher, problem solved! Not everybody like the same launcher, but that's a non-issue with as many launchers as there are out there including the one here this dev has made available for us.
Unfortunately, following instructions in the thread, notice I read it first, still unable to install. Any advice or comments are truly welcomed. I do like this launcher and would love to be able to kick the tires and take it for a ride.
Also, perhaps we all should allow each other, as long as the Devs are OK with it, to suggest things to enhance all of our experience. I kinda like the suggestion to include this launcher as I did your posting about the toggles.

A little respect for each other goes a long way.

Haha, good job
As for why it's not working, I have no idea. I never bothered to try it cause I didn't quite understand the direction clearly and cause I used to have a SE X10 that had that launcher so it's old news to me. Maybe try posting in the original thread and see if they can help you out.
It doesn't matter to me if you guys suggest or request things be added to the ROM, my only reasoning was if it can be flashed to your phone why does the dev need to bake it in to his ROM. Doesn't matter to me what launcher he uses cause I use GoLauncher no matter what.

I did search. But I didn't necessarily think that an answer provided for an HTC Gingerbread phone on T-Mobile applied to a Samsung Jelly Bean phone on Verizon. Particularly when it's two years later.
Here's a tip for you: Go search and look up how HTC runs the sense rom and Samsung runs Touchwiz and THEY'RE DIFFERENT.
I'm really glad you bothered to take that time to search just so you could make a smart-assed comment. If you don't have anything helpful or useful to say, keep it to yourself.

As smart-assed as you think he was trying to be, he was actually helping you. AFAIK, you will have to use a third party app to achieve what you are looking to do.
