I'm wondering if anyone has created a themed launcher pro that looks like the Droid X launcher? I've seen there are some for other phones, but not the evo, that I can find at least. Or can anybody put up a guide on how to theme Launcher Pro?

Well i have different questions that should be in different parts of the forums, I dont understand while people insist on submitting that on the forum. If you wish not to help just move along.

I am helping you. I told you to use the search, which is going to help you a lot more than you think. Even browsing through these threads, I'm sure you see that a lot of these processes can be a bit extensive. And, especially when you ask vague questions like in the original post, no one can help because you're not saying anything specifically (WHICH launcher are you looking to change to? etc. etc.)
Get it? Gonna' use that search? Hope so.

I normally don't like this kind of answer but in this case i would have to agree with TJ, start from the beginning first, have the device rooted and flash your custom ROM then everything will come easier
These guys are just morons. In the time you guys wrote all that crap, you could have just answered his question or atleast guide him.
Even thought you can somewhat modify the appearance, and customize it to your linking, you will need to root your phone in order to modify certain elements.
For beginner I suggest you download a few apps that will allow you to do some minor tweeking. Here's a list of a few apps to start you off.
Launcher pro
Beautiful widgets
Pure calendar
Flickie
Switch pro

So we're morons because we didn't post a broad answer with suggestions of five different things like you? I think you should wisen up before you start slinging around insults that describe yourself more than anyone else.
There's an old saying that goes, "If you give a man a fish, you feed him for the night, but if you teach him to fish, you feed him for a lifetime."
THAT'S the mentality that goes into showing people the usefulness of the search tool. Unless it's something profound or newly developed by that particular person, odds are it's been discussed and can be found with the search tool.
You above just gave him tips to different kinds of launchers, and suggested things like rooting his phone, but didn't post any kinds of links to tutorials or downloads for the apps themselves... are you expecting him to SEARCH for these things himself or what?... exactly.

I didn't give him a smart answer, and I not only respected him, but gave reasoning as to why I gave the answer that I did... in fact, the only person to be dissrespectful and give an answer that doesn't truly help is... well... you. LMFAO. IN fact, I think I called you out pretty in depth, and your response was a childish sentence with a "name" inserted. Get real. I was playing around with my friend's captivate and the contact list had a pretty cool feature of swiping on the contact to call (swiping right) or sending a message (swiping left) I was wondering has anyone ported this over to other devices? Would be cool if it can be ported to work with cyanogen mod. Or if anyone else wants to try to do it, that would be cool.

It actually looks like a modified vanilla contact apk, It's a neat feature, would be nice if it can be ported though.

I don't know about other people but besides the touchwiz launcher, how Samsung modified the OS is pretty nice, been playing with the Captivate a little more, and I have to say I like it a lot.
I accidentally deleted my contacts app on my captivate :-( I will be interested in this thread... perhaps I can get it back!

OP is looking for someone to port it to incredible. to me, it would seem the simplest course of action to recovering a deleted apk from my phone would be to ask someone else who has that phone. hence going to captivate forum to find a captivate apk. im sure someone would post it within minutes, or you can pull it from one of the possibly many roms that are already there.

It's a pretty cool feature.
I had a Samsung Wave with this feature and it's very useful.
It's different and right now hogs a bit of memory. But I like the look.
Just install the apk like any other app and pick the slate skin.

You guys realize that you just look like security guards, right? No real power, but love to think you do by being sarcastic flamers. You're annoying for no other reason than to think you're somebody you're clearly not. You took time to be annoyed instead of continuing to scroll. Maybe if you left your parents' basement for an hour, you would realize how ridiculous you look to people with lives.

I would say something as witty as you have, except my mom is on her way down the stairs right now to bring me a box of Little Debbie Snack Cakes while I watch some Star Trek.
I am obliged to reprimand the OP bit because I think WP8 on our phone would be awesome, I don't mind seeing this here. And I am glad everyone now knows about this. I bet there are many others interested.

Whether or not they are being like security guards, they are right about this going in general. As there is currently no actual development taking place, this is just a thread clogging the dev section. Until there is at least a preview build, this should be moved. Honest mistake by the op.
