Looking for a Asia India officialRUU rom for Sensation - HTC Sensation

I have changed other rom! but Sensation recently will update to V4.0,the problem is that it need the original official Rom! who can give me one?thank u!

somebody please do me a favour!

The Indian RUU was posted once by @imblfmstr but all those people who maintain list of stock roms for all regions didn't seem to care about it and the thread was lost.
And now to make it even worse, due to some idiotic laws posed by governments, the file sharing site on which it was posted was taken down.
I have it but do not have internet connection fast enough to upload it. Will see if I can do anything.

I have it, will upload in a while
Do you mind if I give it tomorrow? I tried uploading to 4shared, but it stopped at 92% and i have to start all over again :/

Check if you are doing this:
1. Connect your phone through USB, enable USB debugging
2. Run command prompt, change directory to adb
3. Check if your device serial is shown by running adb devices
4. Once you see your device serial shown correctly, type adb reboot-bootloader
5. Device will reboot into fastboot and you would see Fastboot USB on phone screen
6. Once there , type fastboot oem writesecureflag 3
7. Next type fastboot reboot-bootloader
8. After you type the last line, you should see S-On at the top of the bootloader screen. If so, you are all set.
let me know if this helped

[Q] hboot 1.23 and says s-off but locked

So i was in the middle of following the steps in the s-off and perma root thread and i ran into a problem. Hope someone here is nice enough to help me out.
So i ran revolutionary and everything went smooth. I already had the clockwork mod zip in the root of my sd card so i just rebooted the phone into hboot. When i went into hboot it detected the pg58img file and ran it, it prompted me if i wanted to update and so i did. It rebooted the phone and then i went back into hboot. The hboot said it was 1.23 and said Locked instead of Revolutionary as it displayed previously.
When i try to run the pg58 file in hboot an error occurs and said it is not compatible and only asks me to power off. So now at this moment it displays 1.23 version of hboot and s-off and says locked.
What can i do after this point? Any help i can get would be fantastic, thanks.
You're still good.
You're locked out of some of the most advanced fastboot commands. But that's it.
You still have S-Off. ADB will still work. You can flash ROM's. Etc etc etc....
It's a known problem. But it's not really a problem.
It's not like you divided by zero and destroyed the fabric of the universe or anything.
This is a noob question but how would i install clockwork recovery? I thought i would try dl from market but it said i didnt have root permission(obviously)
Is there a thread that has a solution to my issue or maybe you can quickly guide me out of this? lol Just kind of confused as to what i should do next lol.
Look in the development section for a thread called guide to s-off.
Skip the s-off part since you've done that.
Go right to the part about installing recovery. Following the directions. It's incredibly easy. It'll take about 3 minutes.
Once you have clcokwork recovery you can flash custom ROMs. You don't actually have to root the stock ROM. (Though you should make a backup of it just for kicks. You can do it all through clockwork recovery)
Yea I tried it multiple times already. I have the pg58 file in the root of the sd and when i go to the hboot it says
"Model ID incorrect!
Update Fail!
Press <POWER> to reboot."
Thats the only option it gives me so i am not able to install clockwork recovery.
Do you have SuperCID?
no i do not, would that fix the issue? i thought that is just for installing any rom on the device. My issue is that i cant get recovery to work.
I would think that is the next step after i run the perma root zip.

It should. Follow the SuperCID instructions here. Then update your firmware via the bootloader with this package that rmk made. It includes ClockworkMod Recovery.
Cool, thanks. I will definately try this as soon as I get off work later today and post up a status regarding the issue

He doesn't have use of Fastboot commands. I am pretty sure they are needed for super CID. Let me check.
He can't super CID as Fastboot commands are used.
Have you tried to run the correct RUU.exe? I think that would change back your h boot. There are zips in the development section you can use to downgrade but you may need super CID to use them.

Yes, he does. CID commands will work with 1.23.xxxx. I've done it myself. Advanced fastboot commands won't work (he can't flash a radio through fastboot).

Yeah, I had SuperCID to flash the new firmware to use an ICS ROM, then changed it back to the T-Mobile one after. No worries, it's confusing.

Okay, I am not near a pc atm so I cannot look where they are located, if you have the adb tools you also need another program called Net Framework installed on your pc.
Make sure your phone is powered onvand usb debugging checked when plugged into pc. I find it easiest to hold the mouse over the adb tools folder, press alt & ctrl keys and right click on the mouse and choose open command window here. Now type the command "adb devices".
Good luck.

First boot can take 10 minutes to load as the Davilk cache is being recreated. Also, did you perform a full wipe first and check the Md5 checksums, make sure your downloaded ROM is not corrupt.

NEED HELP! ROOTED AND WISH TO GOTO ICS SENSE 4.0 and OVERCLOCK!

Hello Dear Users!
I have been a fan of Android for years but recently I rooted my Sensation 4G and it is my first rooted device!
I need help people! I want to upgrade to ICS and possibly Sense 4.0.
I also want to overclock to the max, possibly 1.8GHz?!
What do I have on my phone? What are the stats? Well.. lets see.
Android Version: 2.3.4
HTC Sense Version: 3.0
Software Number: Android Revolution HD 3.6.2 by mike1986
Kernel Version: 2.6.35.14-Sensation-faux123-v0.2.1+
[email protected] #199
SMP PREEMPT Thu Oct 6 16:12:48 PDT 2011
Model Number reads as HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio - but I know my phone is a Sensation 4G.
Daemon Controller 2.21 Beta 1
Rom Manager
Root Explorer
Spare Parts
SuperUser
These are the apps that were added when I had my phone rooted.
Please let me know what I can do!!! Which kernel versions to download and where to download them. I mainly care to overclock my Sensation to as high as possible. The ICS is defiantly a plus, but I would be scared to brick my phone!
Please let me know guys (and girls!)
Thank You very much!
Well at the moment there is only one 4.0 rom that is close to running stable(still many buggs since its a beta/test release from the endavore)
todo first:
check cid in adb(fastboot getvar cid)and download the therefor next 3.30base firmware download here
download the rom:
forum therefore click here
how to install firmware:
put the PG58IMG.zip into root of sdcard and boot up in bootloader and let it update
remove the PG58IMG.zip from the root of sdcard by an reader
put the your_rom.zip in the root of your sdcard
superwipe
flash the rom
there u go
Im sorry if this is a dumb question but... what does this mean exactly?
check cid in adb(fastboot getvar cid)and download the therefor next 3.30base firmware
what is the checking of cid in adb?

if you root u have adb setup (normally) check cid to know what firmware to download
use the command:
fastboot getvar cid
when phone is in fasyboot usb(bootloader then click the power once to go into fastboot)
You will probably want something much more functional and stable.Go for one of the "New" sense 3.6 releases based on 3.30 firmware.Read the firmware page, follow the instructions there then flash a sense 3.6 rom
What do I need to do once my phone is in in fastboot usb mode?
I held down the power and vol and my phones connected through usb.
what should I do now to check what I need to check?
im sorry guys but I am completely new to this so if possible to do like a broken down step by step i would GREATLY appreciate it! thank you

do the next things:
check Hboot(fastboot)
check cid(fastboot usb then use command: fastboot getvar cid)
check radio(fastboot)
check rom(recovery --> info)
You need to put firmware package(PG58IMG.zip-dont rename that file) to the root of the sd card, than boot in bootloader and you will get question "do you want to update",push volume up for yes, when its done remove your sd card and with card reader or other phone remove firmware package from sd card.
Then you hold vol down and power on and you will boot in bootloader again, choose recovery and then flash your rom from your sd card.
This is the easiest way to explain, and i hope that this helped you.

Dont worry, your phone still fine. You just need to flash the correct firmware, as mentioned by Alienator9191 above.
You will notice that you will need different firmware depending on sense version you using, otherwise you will experience those annoying bootloop.
You just need to copy/paste the correct firmware on root of your mem. card and boot to recovery (remove batt, hold vol down+power). it will detect the firmware (always in form of PG58IMG.zip) and install by itself.
This site will help you with the correct firmware, depending of the version of Sense you using:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767
Furthermore, I strongly advise you to read this thead below as it will help you a lot in flashing and rooting (am sure you already done so ;p )
The way i flash ROMS is I copy the rom and compatile firmware on root of mem card. The use Rom Manager (premium) to flash the rom directly. Then as it boots up, i go straight to bootloader and it the firmware gets flashed automatically. This may be wrong way, but quickest to do.
All the best, and happy flashing!
cid is 11111111.

I think we need more info to help...
What have you done so far and what exactly is the status of your phone?
ex. have you S-OFF w/ Revolutionary, do you have a Recovery installed (CMW or 4EXT), are you SuperCID or Rooted? Did you upgrade your firmware to 3.32? What image are you trying to flash? Did you do a superwipe or a full wipe? Do you have ADB installed?

You got adb/fastboot setup
If not use this guide To setup adb/fastboot follow this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1152148
Then go to fastboot in your mobile
Bootloader (vol down + power). Then to fastboot.. And connect it to your pc
(once connected to pc. Your mobile reads "fastboot usb")
Go to your adb folder and type
fastboot devices
This should show you the list of devices attached... And your device should be listed there
Then on the pc type this now
fastboot getvar all
Post the output that you get from above command.. (except serial no and imei)
Or the easy way
Post all the stuff that appears once you boot into bootloader

[GUIDE] Upgrade to ATT 2.20 OTA Safely

Ok this is a simple guide more for newer users as older members here already will know this information probably.
As people may have heard there is a new OTA for ATT. I and gunnyman bit the bullet to see if the old way of doing things ( upgrading, etc as long as you already had unlock token ) still worked with this new base and OTA.
Im proud to say yes. thanks to gunnyman and zounduser for help and hopes that I made it though un harmed lol
Disclaimer As usual this works as I am proof. However I cant be held liable if you mess up your phone! This only works for those who are already unlocked rooted etc.
Here are the steps to getting the update safely.
Prerequisites:
1. You must already be unlocked with supercid and have your Unlock_code.bin file still on your pc. ( there is a thread for this )
2. you must be rooted
3. You must have an understanding of adb and how it works (threads all over xda)
4. Have an RUU available I used 1.85
5. copy of custom recovery twrp 2.1.8.1 is what i used
6. copy of superuser in a zip available in attachments at bottom.
7. Disable HTC SYNC from running!
Here we go:
1. Reboot your phone into fastboot
2. Open a command promp and point to your adb directory. Type the following command: fastboot oem lock
This will lock your bootloader allowing you to RUU
3. Open the 1.85 RUU file.
4. Go through the RUU process.
5. Once you have finished RUUing boot the phone up if it isint booted already
6. Do a minimal setup just skip through the initial set up screens.
7. Check for att software update.
8. A box will appear saying a security update is available. enable your wifi and download it.
9. Allow the update to install
10. After the update finishes ( takes roughly 8-10 mins) some faster some longer. Boot the phone if it isin't booted ( should be ) disable fastboot under system settings power. Enable USB debugging under system developer options.
11. Attach your phone to your pc if it isint already.
12. Open a command promp and point to your adb directory.
type: adb reboot bootloader. If you get an error from adb type adb reboot-bootloader
13. Locate your unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin and place it in the same folder as your adb, fastboot, etc if its not already there from the last time you unlocked.
14. Flash your unlock token. Open a command prompt and type:
fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin
15. Once the token flashes before selecting yes to unlock, unplug your phone from pc. After you unplug it go ahead and select yes.
16. Once phone boots up do a minimal set up as before. Plug your phone back in to pc. Open command prompt and type: to verify unlock
adb reboot bootloader if you get an error from adb type adb reboot-bootloader
you should now see UNLOCKED at the top. If not repeat number 14 until it sticks can take a few tries.
17. If your screen says unlocked, flash your custom recovery. Locate your recovery flash it by typing in command promp: fastboot flash recovery recoveryname.img ( twrp2.1.8.1.img is mine replace with whatever yours is)
18. Once you have the recovery flashed reboot the phone.
19. Plug the phone in and select disk drive. Copy the superuser zip over to your sd card.
20. After that select charge only, open a command prompt and type:
adb reboot recovery
21. Once in recovery locate the superuser zip and flash it.
22. Reboot enjoy you should now be on OTA 2.20 Unlocked, Rooted, etc
O one thing I forgot Please hit thanks if this helped you!
Issues:
1. If you update you will get a newer hboot, you may not be able to use other older ruu's such as 1.85, etc. Recommend immediately making a backup once rooted, unlocked, etc.
2. Updating results in boot.IMG from custom roms not being flashed again. Have to flash the boot.IMG of custom Rom in fastboot as before.
3. Radio.img will not flash on new hboot either must be done in fastboot same as boot.img.
Wanna dd a radio img for me?

Hmm dunno that one. I was on 1.85 CleanROM 4.5 asia2.23 base when I went to new OTA. I thought as long as one had super cid RUU would work either way up or down software.
thanks for the tutorial.

its right in the OP. as long as YOU HAVE the unlock code file from htc dev already you can update then unlock and root with the file posted. but if you didnt unlock already DO NOT UPDATE i dont think anyone knows yet
or are u talking about the original 1.85 exploit?

I do not know that one as it was designed for 1.85 I would say no. People are working on root for the ota as we speak

Good to know. I got my One x last month from att with 1.85 loaded. I think I'm fine without the update. I'll stick to custom ROMs lol. And your awesome boot animations

Updating now.
I prefer to run sense roms based on ATT, just seem to work a bit better imo.
Besides, with what i know of the 4.0.4 (clean rom) it is much smoother and all around much better than the 4.0.3 we got originally, may not need to run a custom rom to get the results i require (though i probably still will haha).
so if im unlocked, i can update and worry about rooting and unlocking tomorrow since i already have the unlock.bin file ?

Psst; the command to rebooting to bootloader is 'adb reboot-bootloader'
...that hyphen is pretty important.

hmm adb setup on my pc doesnt require that particular hyphen. I never have to use " either thought that was a little wierd. It works tho. I do need that hypen when doing kill-server start-server tho. Those are the only two commands that seem to not work without it for me.
thanks ill update lines.

If you have done your research then you must have found the thread [GUIDE][6 OCT] Non-Sony Screen Panel Desire S Users Lounge + How-To which gives you everything you can ever possibly need.

Yes. If ur s-on u must always flash boot.img via fastboot commands straight after u flash the rom.

It won't show up in odin, that's for Samsung devices.
You'll need adb and fastboot set up on your computer.
Look at the steps in tutorials in the desire s general section for the correct procedure for flashing the boot.img.

You don't "click" on ADB. You need to open a command line window and run the relevant ADB command from there. Search, there is a very good ADB guide somewhere on XDA with everything you will ever need.

Ok i think iv figured out fastboot can run commands and stuff on it seems cool.
But The problem I have now is that my usb dosent show the phone it charges but dosent recognize it in the bottom corner?
Iv installed drivers for it etc
Is that coz i messed up the rom ?
Fasboot isnt picking it up
Is your phone in fastboot mode? (reboot to bootloader, should say fastboot USB at the top)
UPDATE
Ok so now I have a laptop that will recognise it and drivers installed I tried RUU official 4.0 stock or ROM update Utility 1.0.6.2012 . It finds phone fine and gets through all the steps but when it is updating signature it cuts off and i get ERROR 155 : UNKMOWN ERROR.
Is this the right RUU stock?
It said it was updating image version 13 ( bunch of number) to 14( bunch of numbers)
Anyone know a RUU STOCK Rom that would work ?

why do you want installing stock RUU..?, or do you want your phone to return to the stock..?, what do you wanted exactly..?
if you wanna installing custom rom..then you just need find a custom rom you want (find the right custom rom that are still had compatible kernel for hitachi or mddi panel)..then flashing it through TWRP recovery..after that..you must flashing boot.img (the kernel is already included in this boot.img) that are extracted from the custom rom.zip that you're already installed..flashing it through FASTBOOT mode..with fastboot command "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
hopefully this can help...
