HBOOT 1.23 to HBOOT 1.17 etc

I flashed the new 4.0.7 Insert Coin CFW with the new hboot 1.23 bits, now i wanna go back to android revolution HD (gingerbread 2.3.4)
now all i wanna know, is the newest hboot backwards compatible with other OS or is it for Icecream sandwich only? and perfectly compatible with sensation XE/all UK networks?

can it be unlocked in htc dev site ? to use fastboot commands? this is the only thing that prevents me from updating hboot , i use fastboot commads

[Q] Downgraded ICS-> Gingerbread, cannot get Rev HD to install?

Is anyone else having this problem? I tried everything, flashed the radio, did super wipe, and even formated everything (minus sd of course).
I get the HTC boot screen, then it goes into a reboot loop. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you

I have the same problem, installed the last rom is Android Revolution with ice Cream Sandwich HD & HTC Sense 3.6, but I want change for the Android Revolution with HD HTC Sense 3.5 to have the camera mod 40 mbps.
And when intale this version remains in the htc screen and restarts continuously.

I'm not familiar with the current ARHD ROM versions.
I assume that you are trying to install a GB ROM but appear to have the ICS only Firmware.

You can just flash the 3.12 (HBOOT 1.23.0000) or HBOOT 1.17.xxxx

Hey I have the same problem and I tried to downgrade and I couldn't, and I got an error msg saying wrong CID for the 1.17 and mine is a Sensation XE and I was using Virtuous ROM nquisition ROM, Please help me out, I want to go back to my Gingy and it keeps rebooting.

i try to find guide step by step install : ViperS 1.6.0 but i couldn't. I am running HTC sensation ICS with revolution HD till now but for ViperS must be different Kernel,Firmware,Radio,Ril.
Does anyone make guide because i did find useful?

put the rom zip in the root of the sdcard and flash it from recovery
if you are S-ON i suggest you to install 4ext recovery(if you don't have it yet) and enable smartflash berfore flashing
also it works only with 3.32fw and 3.33fw version
but before everything do a nandroid backup first

I got 4ext N S-off, i mean viper is use JB and works better, for kernel and ril etc every rom has recommended. I search here and i think this are :

not the best but most of these i got just not sure for Radio and ril. That way i looking for guide .

Ok . I ask do manual do all things i mean update 4.0 to 4.1 (i prefer 4.1 ) install radio, ril ..etc or all is in the pack.
Sorry but to move from one to other rom i must be sure for all that.

if in the thread where you downloaded the rom requires to install radio and ril then you have to do it

It is ics, not jb. Just install the Rom as usual.

I have CM9 but I wanna to try viper 1.6.0, will I going to have any problem for that?
of course i will do wipe data, cache and dalvik...

edit: i just see the link thanks... i'm going to flash now ...

All you need to do is make sure you have an unlocked bootloader, s-off, it's, 4ext recovery. Once you have all that just drop the rom on ur sd, go into recovery and install the rom from zip. If u need instructions on how to s-off, unlock ur bootloader or anything else just ask.

I am sorry.
I am not sure what you are trying to do.
You asked initially about hboot,and now you want to know about kernel.
If you want to install that kernel,then,make a nandroid and go ahead.
It should be fine.
The hboot you are on is fine for almost every ROM in the DEV forum.
The only thing you can upgrade is the radio.
I gave you the link for that.
