[Q] Ripped icon set shows black icons, why? - HTC Inspire 4G

Hello,
I really liked this iOS Winterboard theme and wanted to use it's icons for my MIUI rom. The ripped .png icons in the .rar file have all turned into this black square. I was wondering if you guys knew why this was, and if there is a fix for it. I've seen these icons on a MIUI rom before so I know its possible to have these iOS icons on an Android.
I've included one of the icons in a .zip folder if anyone would like to have a look at it.

Crude, no one knows

suffering through the same thing...

A few theming questions

Hello,
first of all I love the Desire Rom by Paul. I only want to modify the "taskbar" graphics at the bottom of the display. Do you know in which .apk I will find them?
Do you already knwo where i can find the wallpapers in the rom, f.eg. the blue travel wallpaper?
Thanks and regards
donner
framework-res.apk for the notification bar, and alot of other stuff is in there aswell. Try making a morph to start with, it's alot easier. You can even download someone elses, open all the files and if you have a little bit of computer knowlege teach yourself from there.
wallpaper
and where are the wallpapers? they are not in the framework-res.apk
If you're looking for the graphics on the bottom on sense these are located in a seperate .apk on all the desire roms i've seen that is next to the framework-res.apk normally called something like com.htc.desire or something similar
Isn't it rosie.apk?
Most of HTC's stuff is in rosie.apk
Definitely go for a metamorph theme.
Metamorph allows you to specify only a few PNGs, XMLs etc that will be updated within the targeted apk.
On NON-Desire roms, wallpapers are in the launcher.
So yeah, maybe Rosie.apk

[REQ] Buuf theme for Sense UI

I've checked out the Buuf theme for iPhone lately and I find it very catchy. I'm sorry because I'm not an iPhone fan and I've only come to know of such theme lately. Can anyone here try to make a complete skin out of Buuf icons and buttons? As if overhauling the Sense UI and replacing all the buttons (ie Sense audio buttons, video buttons, camera etc), sliders (main slider, audio slider, messaging slider etc), clock even miscellaneous tabs (ie settings and everthing within). So... what do you think? *sorry... for being kinda nervous. This is my first request post in Themes and Apps for HD2*
I haven´t seen the Buuf theme for WinMo, but for Android...
However, did you check this great theme here? Not that it is the same, but it somehow seems to have that kind of "design"...

Yeah... I've checked it out. I love these cartoon-ish themes like Buuf and Fallout by StarView. I wish there are more like Super Mario, Zelda and stuff like that. Can anyone tell me which software you need to create a theme for Sense UI? Because I really want to learn to create a theme and pack it into a CAB and share it with everyone.

You can actually make your theme with any graphics software which can save in png format (mainly because of the transparency capability).
Once you´ve done your creative work, you can convert your pictures with m9editor, or CFC GUI, and then use cab maker software to create the installer (there are some free apps).
To make things easier for a start, to learn about manila file namings, resolutions etc., I suggest you take any cab of any theme you like, unpack it (with a program like MSCEInf - CAB Analyzer) and see through all the files with CFC GUI - with all this data, you can jump quickly into theme making.
PPC Geeks have the icons
Popdog54 posted all of Paul Davey's art on PPC Geeks (see link).
All of icons are there. I downloaded them and put them on my HTC HD2 storage card and then used an icon changer to change most of the icons.

the Buuf theme is indeed very catchy and would look really good on HD2.
ajt320 has already posted the link to the icons.
I also found Buuf-esque slider icons, made by 12aon. Check the post 5.

The slider icons were made for TF3D, so they should be modified to use in Sense 2.5
and there is also Way Out There Transparent Slider here http://ppcmods.com/sliders.html
the style is quite similar to Buuf's

[REQUEST] Flashable Motoblur Grey Notification Bar

As the title says I'd really like it if someone could make that for me, I'm using Darchdroid 2.7, who ever gives me it first will get a donation
http://www.wirefresh.com/images/motorola-motoblur.jpg
Basically that..just the gray bar, not the icons. or anything. I'd rather have the gray then black or white
I'm looking into it just for fun. It may not be real easy to do being that motoblur is based on donut's framework and darchdrod eclair.
Here's a backflip system dump:
http://www.androidspin.com/download...lip.Blur_Version.0.1.1199.MB300.ATT.en.US.zip
The sprites you want to port over should be in the framework-res.apk located in /system/framework... assuming the backflip filesystem is like a standard android phone.
I'm d/ling that system dump now. If it's easy, I'll do it.
Hmm... the only png I could find that looked like it might be the statusbar background is attached. Doesn't look very gray to me.
I'm also looking at a froyo framework-res to see where the matching statusbar sprite is located and it appears to be MIA. Chances are the is a result of the difference in version.
that picture you posted is a white bar...
Agreed. It is a nice looking bar though.

I think they are distinctly different bro D:

[THEME] Yellow

Hey guys so I rooted my sidekick and started using Glorious Overdose V2 ever since and love (almost) everything about it. The one thing I hated was the color scheme. The blue on gray style of the icons can be very hard to read IMO and doesn't really look that good to me.
So, I took it upon myself to create a nice little theme with icons that are all bright yellow and green. I think it looks pretty nice for the most part (although some of the icons are a bit pixelly as I am not a photoshop guru) and looking at the icons is certainly much easier than it was with the original theme.
The .zip I am uploading contains the .png's I modified (I didn't take the time to edit EVERY icon) taken from /System/framework/framwork-res.apk --> /res/drawable-hdpi
All icons have their original names and I assume it should work with any ROM for the sidekick.
Please post here with any questions/feedback. I will probably be updating this pack in the future as I decide I want to change more. Also, if anybody knows how to put these into an .apk or a flashable update.zip please feel free to post that here as I'm a noob and don't know how to do those things lol.

Icon shape on EMUI 10

Ok, so, I really like the new EMUI 10 default theme, but since I started using EMUI there is oone whing I completely dislike and that's the messy icon shape of the variuos app. sometimes they are EMUI like, other are completely squared, other are circles...
I noticed that by using some themes, all icons become of the same shape, either those not present on the theme icons folder. So, is there a way to create a theme that just make alll icons same shape (maybe circle)? I tryed to create a theme with just the icon zip file in it, with the various icon_mask, icon_border, icon_* file in it, but while many icons go circle, not all of them do...
What am I missing?
