Super Monkey Ball 2 is now officially downloadable!! It is unfortunately not Xperia Play optimized, but I wasn't really expecting that.

You sure that its not optimized? It should be!

We don't understand either we got told it would be optimized in some way. Guess we have to hope for an update. But still great game.
sent from my R8ooted bad boy
Every sega game is optimized so i think it will be soon.

Okay i tried this and i can confirm that it is not optimized, but its not that bad becouse it is a sensor only game and works nice with sensor.
I grabbed this while it`s cheap, well worth it as it runs great on the play. It is true it is not play optimized but it is still a very fun game and runs superbly.
I think that it is optimized. So it was in GTA3 also.
I can confirm it is NOT xperia play optimized. I normally dont like the sensor games but this game works extremely well on our phones and plays nice..... i would like the optimization but again this does play extremely good... just my 2 cents
What if they release the Xperia optimized version seperately and it would cost a bit more ?
That would be a sucker punch wouldnt it ?
Cannot wait to play this!
Great game, works perfecrtly

I've just found out that the circle button works! It pauses the game.
My question is that were Sega lazy in optimizing it for the xperia play?

Thanks for the tip. It is already mine, lovely price.

Only for tegra as not available to any adreno device. Plus no controller support except MOGA

Looks truly horrible
looks like my s**t from the toilet.
I've some such as Stardash, INC, Cordy, Roboto and they need to be fed. I have emulators as well.
I was wodering if there were anymore apart from those.
Have to say platformerts are lacking on the Xperia Play and they should be releasing more because the Xperia Play has physical buttons
I want originality like Mario style Platformers. So can anyone recommend me some ?
Thanks
are you kidding? there Are like over 180 games? search!
Gloomy dungeons is a decent game and it works with Xperias buttons. Just map the shoulder buttons to move left n right. :-D

oh sorry thought you were looking for games in general. my bad
I would LOVE to see more shooting games like Air Attack but more in the vein of GigaWing or Dodonpachi

Get my drift, on the Japanese Android Market they have a slew of these types of games, problem is is even though I can download them they will not play as they will say my phone is capable of downloading them but hen when I go to play it says incompatible, weird. Anyway, sorry to steal your thread, I will make another on my own for this topic, just got me thinking is all....
R type is another one but its hard :-D brilliant remake aswell. And radiant hd try that.

Far from lacking, there's pixeline, giana sisters, Cordy, toyshop adventures, the sonic games and quite a lot of others.

Eternity warriors 2 is available, but play store says incompatible with my xplay. Anyone tried it? Does it support the pad? Am eager to know.
Tried this out earlier, actually.
Don't know why they blocked us from seeing it, it runs perfectly on Xperia Play. No gamepad support though.
First Eternity Warriors took a bit to be Xperia Play Optimized too...

Good to know that it works well on xperia play. The fact that it is blocked for my play may be a good thing. They could be looking to optimize this in an update and then make it available for play.
I'm starting to be very skeptical about GluMobile games. Two of their latest products (Mutan Roadkill and Gears & Guts) are still incompatible with my R800i.
No big loss though, as most of their games are of the same template and include IAPs if you want to beat them - Gun Bros is a shining example of that template.
Aye, Glu seem to be running their reputation into the ground in pursuit of a slice of the f2p pie. I hope noone supports them
Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
game runs well as in no lags and stable framerate..but sometimes it gets "unstable" , like it stops working or doesnt register my inputs.
Mutant Roadkill works very well with my play , the other game is not playable at all...
I can confirm that it works on r800x as well. Only played until after the "tut" where u get to choose your next place to go, but it works. And so does Game Guardian

Just found this. As the creator if this game said he "I love joysticks, but I hate virtual joysticks"
Heres to hoping its supporting Xperia PLAY.

Edit: The first and only comment at this time is quoted as"
"Let's hope it's Xperia Play optimised since he quite rightly hates virtual joysticks"
Looks like a great game and with the simple one action type control scheme, no reason why they can't add xperia play support.
WTF,why doesn't this game published by Gameloft but ubi? Is that a sarcasm? Ubi totally had enough of GL's sucking games maybe.

iOS was yesterday, like always, before Android....No problem, one day, but where the h*ll is version for Android right now? Delayed or something? No info etc.... -.-
I am also awaiting the release.
sent from my galaxy s3 or xperia play
Delayed -
Ubisoft twitter message =
Ubisoft @Ubisoft
#RaymanJungleRun will be out on Google Play Sept 27 @10am CET. Sorry for the unexpected delay, we needed more time for optimization!
I knew that - Ubisoft is like their mobile section - Gameloft. Nearly always iOS before Android. It's everytime the same thing....Hope waiting will bring Xperia Play full support. For now, let's download The Bard's Tale, 74% .

I've got a feeling they are optimizing it for the PLAY. Guess we'll find out next week
This just got leaked (search Google) it has no what so ever xperia play support at all. No launcher icon and no buttons work in game. Not to bad looking and gameplay is nice but not really liking games which only need 1 tap (where is the challenge). Really surprised has no play support as co produced by Dotemu (metalslug, r-type) but guess they sore no point in mapping 1 button. Oh well it's a shame but always have proper rayman on the good old emulators

I just got sent an email from a friend and he had it attached. Yup, no xperia play support.... nice graphics though but I wont touch it unless its optimized. Oh well... time to go back to playing the awesome 'Bard's Tale"..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7BunC_rkQc
But we can still using gamekeyboard and joistick center For me with the Last one works awesome For me is xperia play optimized =p

So not worth it, if they can't optimize/map on button like X for jump...Maybe updated version will have it. If not - I can always play it on my X10 without pain, but on Play I wanted something more....
Guys, I still the chances are strong that there will be an optimized version released formally next week. I can see the hardware working for a variety of functions in the game. My fingers are crossed :fingers-crossed:
No there is no chance. No way any dev will want to map one screen touch (because that's what it is the whole game)
Xplay support is not necessary in a game like this, and your just being petty if you won't touch it because of that
But, actually guys....If you really want have it "Xperia Play optimized unofficial" - please do like me - map one button (which you like best for jump, I like X like in PlayStation), and fell free to call it optimized (except icon i Play's launcher, but I don't care much about it always). There is no unusefull touchscreen buttons, so no way to say that "there is too much things on screen when playing" - this minimalistic form of that game is sure advantage. But it's quite short, but still worth playing ^^.
Err guys is it leaked? My friend showed me download links for the apk and SD data from a warez site.
The (relatively) new Hexage game Reaper is freemium and it's Xperia Play optimized.
Plays really smoothly on CM10, but unfortunately it's Android ICS and up only, so no GB love from the developers on this one.

I beat it at level 41
BTW its tough than its look .
Just downloaded today, and it is really amazing. It's like a 2D hack-n-slash side scroller lol. It is really addicting, but really hard in some levels.
