[Q] [Xoom 2] Where are the Wifi antennas located? - Xoom Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I´ve been trying to find it out "blocking" my wifi signal on purpose, but I´m getting mixed resuls with Wifi analyzer.
Does anybody know for certain where are they located, exactly?
Thanks

Hi guys,
I find it odd that nobody knows about this. In any case, I found the old Xoom teardown made by the Ifixit guys, so it gives me a very reasonable idea of where the antennas may be located.

If anyone knows the exact location for sure, it still would be nice to know.
Cheers.

GPS getting weaker.

Hi all,
Problem with the GPS on my Orbit 2! Though so far I love it to bits really.
I have done a search here but cant find anything.. I really hope it is just me asking the wrong question. Anyway someone must know something.
The problem is this:
The GPS with Copilot was working amazingly when I first got it. I was knocked out by it.
I haven't used it much but when I have I was delighted.
However, recently I have been noticing that the number of satellite signals has been going down. It has also been taking longer and longer to get a fix.
Today I could not use it at all, even when it got a "fix" It was showing me no where near the right road.!! Have some satellites fallen out of the sky!!??
Currently it has 3 days before I need to do the QuickGPS thing. So that should be ok.. I will try again with the update but is there any known problem with the GPS. If there are problems with GPS do they normally behave like that or just stop altogether?
If there is a problem I guess I need to send it back.. :-(
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give.
Its very painful when you get up in the morning and try to depend on something that is not working!

Same problem
I also got the same problem, but I found out that a reboot solved the issue. After the reboot it found the satellites again.

help please. wifi question.

hi guys. i have a problem. my wifi signal is really bad. i mean it finds a hot spot if i am near to it. if i am like 20-30 meters away it doesn't recognize anything.
my question is : does the radio version has something to do with the wifi signal strenght? if i install another radio version it'll be better? thanks in advice. have a good day.
PS : my radion version is 1.11.25.01
anyone knows?
im pretty sure the radio has nothign to do with it because the wifi has its own antenae in the phone. so maybe you damaged it or something? have you dropped it? try flashing to another rom even though i dont think it could be any rom related issues
just in case....
Try reading this thread and do a search if you want more.

Make sure your wifi slider is set to performance. Anything else will give you trouble.

GPS Signal

Hi all,
had my Desire S for a few days now (upgraded from Nexus One), all is going great apart from today I went for a run and the app I use for tracking/timing couldnt get a GPS fix.
Downloaded GPS fix and this got a fix after 3 minutes or so, but it was then lost again.
Used GPS Essentials and I can see that the satellites were being picked up, but were vanishing every so often.
Has anyone else had any GPS issues? Wondering if I've got a dud chip
thx
I was also trying out the GPS today. Without GPS Fix i'm only getting like 2 satellites but with it, i got 8-9.

Where do you live? I've read about problems had by two Russian Desire S owners on this forum.
I've not really used my GPS as don't drive and had no need

[Q] Bluebo/Star B6000 and GPS issues

Hey guys,
Searched for B6000 and GPS on the forums and I found one thread with multiple hits within it. Started to get confused with what people were saying.
So I was wondering if anyone else was having problems with the GPS on the B6000? It doesn't work all the time and when it does it's rather inaccurate.
I was wondering if there were any software solutions for this? Would another ROM solve this? Or is this a hardware thing that I am stuck with?
Any step by step guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

(q) gps

I use gps a lot for work. Getting house to house quickly is a must in my field of work. Ever since I upgraded and purchased the LG g5, I've had nothing but issues with the gps in it. It constantly says that it's searching for location and never finds the location. Does anybody else have this gps issue?
This is all I get.
