I downloaded Real Racing 2 on my phone through the market.
i want to sideload it onto my tablet so i'm using Root Explorer on my Skyrocket to find it but I can not.
I am looking in Data/apps and its just not there but if i look in my app drawer its there with my other apps and I can uninstall it as well.
is this hidden somewhere?
I've looked in system/apps as well and its not there either.
i swear i'm going crazy.
Download appsaver save the game then it should be in sdcard/appsaver

Apps downloaded from the market won't appear in root explorer.

OR you can use MyBackup and back up your apps you want. It will appear in your external sd card!

The install name might be different from the game name... Angry birds is like that.
Sort by date maybe?

When I had my EVO I had a Gallery App that I thought was called Gallery 3D. It used the cooliris engine to view albums and pictures. It automatically pulled in the pictures in my Picasa account without me having to have to set the account up.
I could have sworn that it came preinstalled on my EVO but I could be wrong. I know it was free because I checked all my purchased apps and it's not amongst them.
I have searched the Android Market and the only thing that comes close and looks like it is Gallery Pro but it a paid app and I am 100% certain it was free.
Do you have any idea what this app is?
Cheers!!
I believe this is what you're after

Done I appreciate the help
I wonder why it's no longer in the market.
I had originally found it on xda a long time ago. Didn't know it was a market app.

I cannot install it
Is there any trick to install this app on my E4G touch. First it shows as a system app and asks if I want to replace it. When I press OK and Install it says application not installed.
Please help!!!
Thanks
Mario
Well, does your ROM already include gallery 3d? If it says its a system app and shows not installed, then use root explorer to manually put the app in system/app and set permissions to rw-r-r. And reboot.
Or using adb, push gallery3d.apk/system/app SD card/download /gallery 3d.apk "enter" chmod 0755 (or maybe 0644)
(My adb commands are likely wrong, but close. Root explorer is what I use for root level managing )

Is the a way to change the icon of a app just using my infuse. I read how to do it on a computer kinda sounds like a pain.
I'm in the process of ripping apks I like form different roms that people have customized. I have everything ics blue and this apk I like has a red icon.
Is there a easy way to swap one icon from a apk to another? I guess if it comes down to it I can fire up the computer and do some extracting and editing. Is there a easy way to do that then. Im not exactly a noob so lay it on thick lol!

Open app with root explorer....go to res/drawable-hdpi and find your icon....replace with yours

Edit....then reboot

Make sure you rename the new icon to the same name as the old one. It's not hard to do on the computer. I use 7zip to replace them.

depending on what launcher you use, you may not have to do any drastic apk decompiling.
no de/recompile needed. just need an archive type program that can write into a compressed file. root explorer can do this.
recompiling is only needed for .9.PNG files in the theme.
also you can use 3rd party launchers.
I used root explorer when I pasted it in thar folder in ended up sending me 2 the folder the apk is in

Can't get this to work or even show up in the Play Store, any possible fixes?

work around
Just side-loaded through root explorer, /data/apps works great, make sure to fix permissions rw-r-r..
Just sending you all to one of the best, if not, the BEST file explorer that I have used. Go check it out!
