Best browser for ARHD 6.5.1 - HTC Sensation

just changed to this rom but now the internet is agonisingly slow. changed to Firefox tho a bit quicker still not very good. if I put my sim in my incredible s running icecold sandwich its very fast so deffo a Rom issue I think. any1 with same problem or best browser revcomendation for this rom? thanks

Sounds like a radio or RIL file issue, not a browser issue.

You using Wi-Fi or Mobile Network?
Is it the same with Chrome too?

Internet is fast on mine - either stock or Opera and Wi-Fi or H+

google chrome ofcourse
100.000+ browsermark score and html5test.com (343points?) best mobile browser

Thanks for the replies
Download chrome beta and it is rapid compared to AHRD stock and firefox
Thumbs up
edit: no flash support for watching sports streams tho

[Q] besr browser for tab?

Original samsung browser wont work very well. What browser should i use?
I've been having nice results with the Dolphin HD browser so far.
Dolphin hd 4.0 and firefox mobile
Firefox Mobile for me, feels very fast but the fonts seems blurry sometimes.
Dolphin HD. Has the option to add AdBlocker... among many other add-ons.
I'm running Skyfire for the moment, it seems faster than the stock browser. I rried Dolphin as well but Skyfire seems a bit more stable and faster to me, but I have no benchmarks to back up my impression.
Dolphin HD all the way
Tried FireFox two days ago, but it was slow loading pages. The stock browser and Dolphin HD loads 50-80% faster.
Firefox mobile is fast...but the fonts are blurry because it takes a while to render especially if zooming.
Skyfire didn't seem as quick for me when zooming in.
I still ended up going back to Dolphin HD... I love the gesture support and use more of the add ons like shake to switch tabs, etc. I also think their interface is uch more refined
I use xscope, fastest browser for android, dolphin is way too bugged for me

Oooo... I must try this!
Xscope is inferior in almost every way to dolphin.

Xscope is way faster than dolphin, it has less bugs, and it can sync his bookmarks with the stock ones, which is a big plus for me, as I use the bookmark widget of launcher pro plus.

Any one manages to get the full bbc iplayer site workin over 3g?
Not the mobile version. I keep being redirected to the mobile site and then It states can not stream over 3g. I try to switch the agent to desktop then bbc states that my phone is not supported :s
This is on both stock browser and also Dolphin HD
Just downloaded Firefox 4 beta 2... just released.... it seems to be MUCH faster than beta 1 which I only tried yesterday. Rendering of text and zooming is quicker also. I can't seem to sync with the desktop version though....

Does it support Flash yet, though? If it does, I'll take another look. Otherwise, I'm trying to decide between Dolphin HD and xScope 6. xScope is a lot prettier, with the glaring exception of bookmarks, which it handles horribly - generating a sort of dynamic web page to list them rather than having a proper UI. No bookmark folders either.
I can't find any speed comparisons between Dolphin 4 and xScope 6, but subjectively they don't feel much different.
anyone know if there is a way to get the tabs browser on the sgs captivate? the tabs browser has the windows button next to the address bar and would be more convenient than stocks. (need stock due to some weird rendering issue with some sites)
Mate its just the stock android 2.2 browser with a few minor and mostly cosmetic changes.
But I've found its considerably slower (in opening web pages) than the browser on my 2.1 milestone.
Xscope6 is the best choice for me
Another vote for xscope. Its the best designed browser in terms of usability, speed and features. Would love to have plugin support though. I would consider switching to Dolphin HD if the interface wouldn't be so ugly (and oversized). Looks like an mp3 skin from 5 years ago. The fullscreen toggle in xscope rocks as well.

Which MOD Plays Iplayer !!! Help

Hi Guys please give me some help with this, I have flashed my phone to CM 7 .1.0.4 all is well but media is an issue, Mainly Iplayer, on stock it worked fine no issues, but now the iplayer runs very jerkly and at 400kbs it does not run at all only runs at 500kbs and above (well tries to).
Ive tried clearing cache and tried both the app and through opera, its just unplayably slow !!!
Whats happened to cause this, I am having a similiar problem on my LG 3d optimus, once flashed both itv player doesnt run at all, green screen etc.
Can someone put me out of my misery of this, I love wtaching the iplayer whilst working and its just not worth the bother !!
Are their any roms that work with Iplayer or fixes as I cant be the only one surely.
ATB
Paul
try using the iplayer on the web, the app for both itv and bbc are rubbish.
Thanks for the reply, tired in opera dolphin and std browser all have broken framerate, tried changing virtual memory heap and scripts in booting to improve performance nothing seems to work ! the bbc iplayer app runs at the same speed as the browsers and its the same with the wifes milestone with CM 7 version, worked fine on stock and my droid 3 works ok on stcok so its not a wifi issue i dont think.
thanks
What ROM and what speed? You tried it on stock browser. The iplayer app has 3 stars because its bad. The web can be out of time a bit though.
Try FroyoMOD. Close to stock as its 2.2

No this works fine. Just tested it out with stock Internet Browser in one small window streaming BBC radio music programme and then running Chrome in a second, large window (80% screen size). Everything works fine. No stuttering on the music and the browser works perfectly smoothly with multiple tabs, no lags. I don't even have a fast internet Wifi connection (around 4Mps total).
Don't have Dolphin but, if this is what you want to do, I'm pretty sure it will work with stock plus Dolphin as well. Just use the Multi-window apk to make the two browsers work together.

In addition if you use the advice in the following new post and pin both browser windows then you can keep the music playing in the background while browsing full screen.

Could also try OverSkreen Floating Browser.

[Q] SOLVED how to view falcon cam on HD Revolution 3.6 ROM

http://www.pacast.com/players/falcon.asp
Using Maxthon browser or several ip camera players and nothing works. Any help greatly appreciated.
Do you have flash installed? It kinda works for me, I see the babies but then it crashes right away. I tried firefox and the default browser, they both do the same... so I googled a bit and it seems that Google made it way worse with 4.2.2 for flash support.
http://forums.androidcentral.com/go...deliberately-wrecked-flash-support-4-2-a.html
You can get flash from the adobe page, in the archived section. What Android version is Rev 3.6?
Thank you very much for the info. It almost plays for me also. I believe the ROM is ICS. After many hours of searching I believe the problem is the Shock Wave player they use. I can't find any flavor of Android that can view Shock Wave .asp streams.
A friend of mine said that Dolphin browser had shockwave support built-in, could be worth a shot.

Slow browsing after jelly bean update

Hi,
Ever since the Jellybean 4.1.2 update I have a problem, my web browsing has slowed to a crawl. I had earlier used Dolphin Browser in ICS and it has always been fast and reliable. Since the update it is my slowest browser. I've tried several others including Opera Mini, Boat Browser, and Chrome; they are all nearly as slow and laggy as Dolphin. The stock Internet Browser seems to be the fastest, but not by much. It takes more than a minute to load the xda-developers forum.
The problem is not related to the internet connection, as i have checked it with different WiFIs. Also, Youtube videos works smooth and downloading things from play store etc are as fast as before.
All other things have incredibly fastened after the jelly bean update.
