Over the last month or so, I have been getting random kernel panics. Doesn't seem to matter what ROM I am using.
What are my options for fixing this?
Thanks!

OK I'll bite.... What is " Kernel Panic "?
It is about the same thing as a Blue Screen of Death in Windows.
Something went terribly wrong for me to get a Kernel Panic
I just don't know how to see what caused it.

Flash a different kernel?
Had something like this happen before, unbrick to stock and start over, in my case it was hardware issues so I did a warranty replace.

I am thinking hardware as it has creeped into several ROMs

Kernel panic upload mode
I was flashing custom ROMS from couple of months and did dozens of times.
But when I was flashing resurrection ROM an updated version, it completed but when I rebooted it was stuck in the kernel panic upload mode after the boot screen(galaxy s2). It was not going to clockworkmod recovery too. Then using the odin I tried to flash the stock ROM as well as custom ones. But it will finish, will stuck in the boot screen. Then flashed recovery using Odin and tried to flash custom roms. Couple of ROMS worked but most of them failed and stuck in the boot screen. I could able to restore the stock version which I saved previously.
But I cant try most of the ROMs now. CM9 didnt work.. But MIUI worked.
Can anyone help me.???

1. Make sure you do all of your wipes.
2. Flash once to get blue recovery
3. It will likely hang so get back into recovery and do all your wipes again.
4. Flash the rom again and reboot. Should be good after that.
What steps were you taking?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using Tapatalk 2
You need to flash Gingerbread bootloaders. That's why your recovery is broken. After doing that you'll be good
I have a red cwm tho

Okay. Do the wipes as per instructions sake.
First, you're going to have to flash whatever ICS ROM you want. It will be stuck at the Cyanogenmod screen. Wait a minute.Take out the battery and put it back in. Now, when you reboot, you are going to have a messed up BLUE recovery. THIS IS COMPLETELY NORMAL as you have Froyo Bootloaders. What we need you to do is attempt to find the ICS ROM again that you wish to flash. Flash it the second time. Reboot. Voila!

Depends on personal preference. Using nun's aokp and was using RemICS UX edition as well. Both ran very fluent. AOKP has a few more customization options from what I've observed over the cm9 base builds.
Every single ICS ROM has its own distinction. I have personally tried JB's Ultimate ICS and AOKP.
I highly recommend these two. AOKP provides more customization options off the bat, but JB provides its own pros as well. It is just a matter of personal preference.
Good luck!
actually sometimes you wont have to reflash if it boots straight up into it

Without knowing what ROM you're using no one can help you. Random reboots still happen in Jellybean but they aren't every 20 minutes. Download the stable CM9 for your phone and try installing that. If you still get random reboots you have either a defective phone (not likely) or you're doing something wrong.
I'm on orthus one and it happens to me one literally every ROM I try including the stable cm9. Idk what I'd be doing wrong. I'm on sk8s latest recovery if that helps. Should I just odin back to stock and go from there?

What was your original ROM? Are you coming straight from stock ICS to the customized ROMs or are you coming from an older android version?

Make sure you're on a higher version of CWM or get on TWRP, the recovery may have had a lot to do with it
Cheers, hope it works.

I'm running Liquid rc1 v2 myself - it's buttah smooth! Check out TWRP recovery - it's a must for flashaholics. You can download the goo manager from playstore and install the recovery or flashable version available in dev section. Try it and you'll be hooked.
Here's phone info prior to the mess:
v21y
mokeeOS
latest gb harsh kernel
CWM v5.0.2.0
I went ahead and tried to flash a new rom and a new kernel. I guess it wasn't compatible and got stuck on boot animation for over 30mins. So i thought I'd pulled the battery. I did a nandroid restore (used it before and works) and it wont boot into the system. It just goes back to recovery.
Then I tried to flash mokeeOS and harsh kernel. After rebooting it goes back into recovery.
I tried many roms / kernels that previously work and it still goes back to recovery. I tried nvflashing recoveries (CWM touch, twrp), same thing happens. Now what should I do?
update: I flashed stock recovery. It shows an arrow going out the box and an android.
update: this clean up batch tool fixed it for me: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24635755
Never heard you say you wiped/formatted anything
if not there will be residue from your old ROM/kernel and you may have the same situation

Hi!
When I finish making custom flash with any stock rom similar to embryo, the first boot takes a long and sometimes stays in the boot image and nothing hapend. The md5 sum is ok. Now, i,m obligate to flash with any CM rom or with derivates like these, can someone tell me WHY? I think what that hapend when i did upgrade my recovery with the 2.5.5.0 version because with the anterior version i could flash a custom stock roms without problems, that i think. Right now? I have CM 10.0. My recovery is twrp 2550.
Thanks a lot for help!
First boot of any rom that you flash will take long. For embryo it will stay on the cymbaline screen for a good amount of time. If the md5 is good, flash again and let it do its thing.

Up to 5 min is normal. Did you do a factory reset? 9 times out of 10 that'll get you past a boot loop.

In your recovery. But you really should do some more reading and research before you flash. You're going to end up bricking your device.

Okay so I bought a Blaze a few days ago and I was messing around with it and I rooted it. When I rooted it I flashed a ROM and when the ROM booted up and got to the welcome screen it instantly turned rebooted itself, so I let it boot up again but it constantly reboots. Then I went back to a backup of the stock ROM and it still does the same thing. So I followed a guide that updated me to the ICS update in hopes of it fixing it but it still does the same thing! Now I don't know what to do with it. I was hoping maybe someone can help or if this has happened to anyone? Thanks in advance

Yes, the miui we have has a link to racing's blue lightning. I would try miui or another ROM again, but make sure to format /system along with wiping data, cache, and davlik. Or use black hole wipe. If you don't have anything important on the internal SD (or back it up) it might be worth it to format the emmc also.
