Firefox Alpha armv6 - Android Apps and Games

Firefox Alpha armv6
Disclaimer:
I do not take credit for this browser i did not develop it credits should go straight to mozilla for delivering there browser to armv6 devices.
Description:
The firefox alpha browser is not compatible with all of the current plugins available for the stable firefox browser that is already available on the market. Compatibility checking is based on the version number. After playing around with this browser while its still in alpha i find it to be quite stable and good for daily use.
Here's the OFFICIAL Mozilla file at Bugzilla for getting official support for ARMv6 devices.

Awesome!!! tnks for the link!!!!!

no problem guys glad you found the link useful and the application great to use
what still needs to be checked to be sure if it works correctly is the update feature inside the browser
Steps To Update:
1) open the browser and press menu
2) press more
3) press settings
4) press about nightly
5) check for updates

Nice, it works quite fast. So far I was using Dolphin Browser as a replacement for the default one, but now I will be using this.

They know how to use the default mobile view?

Adobe Flash 10.2 leaked!!!

Here ya go, guys!! This is a pre-release, not available on the market yet!!!
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=0844TTNJ
If this is considered warez, I apologize. Just let me know and I'll remove it
Tested by myself with 2.2, works on x10 perfectly!!!
Quoted text from adobe.com:
Today we are happy to announce that Flash Player 10.2 will be available for download via Android Market on March 18th. Flash Player 10.2 is a production GA (General Availability) release for Android 2.2 (Froyo) and 2.3 (Gingerbread) devices which meet the Flash Player hardware system requirements. It is initially a beta release for Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) tablets which requires Google’s 3.0.1 system update.
We have been working very closely with Google to ensure tight integration between Flash Player 10.2 and new OS and browser capabilities in Android 3.0. The March 18th beta release of Flash Player 10.2 in conjunction with Google’s first system update to Android 3.0 (version 3.0.1) currently underway for the MOTOROLA XOOM™ will deliver the first phase of our work together. This will be followed by subsequent updates, which will complete the optimizations and result in a production GA release of Flash Player 10.2 for Android 3.0.
Some of the new capabilities of Flash Player 10.2 for Android include:
Hardware accelerated video presentation for H.264 (Android 3.0.1+ only)
Flash Player 10.2 leverages the Stage Video rendering pipeline to enable users of Android 3.0 tablets, like the MOTOROLA XOOM™, to enjoy smooth playback of high-definition Flash video content on the web. Users will experience reduced CPU usage and higher frame rates for existing H.264 video content.
Deeper integration with the Android browser rendering engine (Android 3.0.1+ only)
Deeper integration of Flash Player and the enhanced Android 3.0 browser delivers faster and better rendering of rich, interactive web content resulting in a browsing experience similar to the desktop.
Flash Player can now render content as part of the web page along with other components such as HTML, images and gif animation. As a result, users will experience:
Improved scrolling of web pages;
Uncompromised viewing of rich, immersive content in the way intended by the page designer, including support for instances where HTML and other web content is composited over Flash Player rendered content. Flash Player rendered content will continue to be placed in a separate window on top of HTML in the Android 2.2 and 2.3 browsers, as these browsers do not support the new Android 3.0 browser rendering model.
Enhanced performance for the latest smartphones and tablets
Experience performance improvements designed to take advantage of the current generation of multi-core, GPU-enabled processors to deliver Flash videos, games and other interactive Web content on the latest smartphones and tablets. For a list of upcoming Flash-enabled devices which show off the latest performance improvements, including the MOTOROLA ATRIX™ 4G, MOTOROLA XOOM™ and LG Optimus 2X, please click here.
Automatic soft keyboard support
Users of touch screen devices will enjoy a more optimized experience interacting with rich content that requires keyboard input. This feature simplifies the development of multiscreen applications that require keyboard input, making it easier for developers to optimize desktop applications for mobile devices. A new ActionScript API enables developers to automatically launch and display the soft keyboard.
In addition to its availability on Android Market, the production GA release of Flash Player 10.2 will also be available pre-installed on many upcoming tablets and smartphones or delivered as an over-the-air (OTA) update to existing devices in market.
To see which devices are certified to support Flash Player, please visit http://www.adobe.com/flashplatform/certified_devices/.
To learn more about Flash Player for mobile devices, please visit http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplayer.html.

They have a facebook page. When they release applanet updates the old version will no longer work, and auto update does not always work properly. But it is always updated on their facebook page for manual installation. Having their facebook page to fall back on can save a lot of time when searching for the newest version
I'm pretty sure i can contain myself to wait another 4 days..
But for the people who can't.. good job on finding it
thanks for that info

Psx4droid 3.0.0 released! Open source + free!

For those of you who don't follow Zodttd on twitter, you may be interested to know that he has just released PSX4DROID v3.0.0 for free on his website! This is his newest release!
For those of you who don't know, the android market has been cracking down on emulators lately (or so it would seem).
Happy to see Zodttd is still supporting his loyal fans!
Pick it up here:
http://t.co/0KaEnVe
edit: the shortened links are what Zodttd posted on his twitter post. I'm posting them out of courtesy since I know devs like to track their hits. The links point to zodttd.com so you can be assured they're legit.
(you can find the source here: http://t.co/joV6UCw )
hey im kinda of a noob with emulators but what i have to use to get the roms with this
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
Hi,
Yes, due to Google suspending my Market and Checkout accounts, I have simply made it available as an APK package on my site. Direct links are fine. I should of used bit.ly to get some click stats, but I landed up using Twitter's URL shortener by default.
So now psx4droid is free, compliant and based on open source, and improving fast.
You can post the direct link to the APK install package for psx4droid 3.0.0 and sources if you'd like.
Note that psx4droid 3.0.0's save states are no longer compatible with any previous version. If you have any quick saves, you should run 3.0.0 with quick load OFF so it won't crash on load of a new game.
There may be some bugs with the settings panel / virtual controller issues. If so, I'll work them out.
This version is performing great!
Just wish I could place it on Android Market.
Thanks,
ZodTTD
Thank you so much for the release!
hmm is the download link down? It's making my browser freeze so i can't download the .apk.
Thanks for the reply zodttd!
Like you said, I've noticed some issues with the virtual keypad but the emu runs great otherwise! Looking forward to future releases!
thanks this is a great program
Great work, thanks

This is really a very nice emulator!
Def trying this!
Thanks
Crashes immediately
Once I tried an old lite version on my Desire (2.2), everything works well. The new release crashes immediately when a rom is selected. Configuring the virtual gamepad crashes as well.
Runs fine on my mT4G (besides the mentioned settings issue), however it dies on my Xoom when I try to run a game. Logcat here.
can u guys tell me what rom finder are u all using idk how to run the psx4 any help would be great plz
Congrats dev. Very smart thing to do as I paid for 2 of your psx apps. Hope you get back on the market soon.

Hi gadus!
Actually the process scripts are pretty difficult to add, you'll have to add unrar to system partition (need root) then set the script (some example available on nzbget website).
But I'll try to implement native unrar "next year".

btw how does it "cache" the downloaded files?
would be nice to run in ram or on usb-storage entirely, i don't trust the internal nand too much

This app is phe·nom·e·nal ! Excellent port and work! Once native unrar is added this will be the best thing since canned beer. I can hardly wait.
Yes the app is amazing. I mounted a network drive using CifsManager and set the path within the DestDir field but I'm getting an ErrCode 2 when it tries to create the destination directories on download.
I'm guessing it has to do with permissions. Can anyone provide some guidance?
Thanks!

Hi, just tested NZBGet Mobile. Everything works fine.
Got a Nexus 10 with "only" 16 GB. I haven't rooted the device yet.
But i also wonder if it will work with mounted drives as destination directories (CifsManager, Stickmount etc.).
Seems fairly good to me - but one major problem I found was adding the NzbProcess=~/nzbprocess.sh path as suggested. Now when downloading files they just disappear into the void instead of putting completed files in the specified directory. Possibly due to the non-rooted device I tried it on.
I have to disable this option go back to manually deleting all the partial rar files afterwards which is a real pain. Otherwise very well done. :good:
This is very interesting ... Thanks!
I use to have a running version of sickbeard on my phone, but it was way too much hassle to keep setup
This might be better
1st post updated with new market link ! ( had to change package name as i did lost this keystore :x )

Thanks for your work. I may give this a shot to use when opening links in another app to test it out. For example, if I am browsing reddit via BaconReader, and want to read a linked article, I don't necessarily need to launch a big, heavy, slow browser. Have you tested the speed against alternatives like Lightning Browser?
Thanks for your feedback. I haven't done any speed tests, and currently the app cannot be set as your browser to open links from external applications. I am working on this!

[APP][4.0+]Backbone File Manager - Looking for Alpha testers

Hey everyone, I'm one of the developers of a new app called Backbone File Manager. It's open source and based on CM File Manager written by Jorge Ruesga.
My partner and I have been working a on a rewrite of this project for the past 10 months or so, and I think it’s finally ready for alpha testing. *We’re running things through the Play Store’s alpha/beta manager, so I’ve prepared the G+ community linked below for access management. *Interested testers can request an invite to the community and I’ll wave you in as quickly as possible.
What we're looking for
I’m particularly interested in device specific bugs/feedback and in discussions with folks about their workflows. *As you all know, many of the file manager apps out there aren’t very #HOLOYOLO and fail to provide a polished, standards-compliant experience. *Add that to the fact that managing files is inherently unintuitive and cumbersome, and you have a recipe for a bad experience. *I’m hoping to address this endemic deficiency with a more intuitive experience that simplifies common workflows.
Future Plans
We don’t yet have the features to stand toe-to-toe with apps like ES File Explorer or FX File Explorer yet, but Backbone is still pretty full featured (Root, Text Editor, Thumbnails, Usual goodies) and we’re continually working to implement more features like cloud access. *Rest assured, my partner and I are in this for the long haul - so you'll continue to see updates and improvements.
Once we work out enough of the bugs, we’ll move this into beta/production and implement a (tentative) price of $2.99, so get it now while it’s hot (and free)! *My plan is to continue running the alpha channel in parallel to the beta/production releases.
How to Join
I’m sure that many of you are familiar with the process already, but in order to download the app you have to:
1) Be a part of the community
2) Click on the link that says “Alpha test opt-in”
3) Click “Become a tester”

here some logs from crashing,it seems that when i change to another storage and then back to previous the app is hanging up and does nothing anymore until i kill it or the message pops up the the app is not responding and must be stop, even if i change colors, after this i go out from the settings and open a folder the app stop working too until i kill it and restart.
Good file manager. Would like to have zip-viewer.
I can seem to get root access, to get to system flies, it's not asked once. Any ideas? It says it's in safe mode.
EDIT: I just had to click safe mode silly me haha, I now have root.
U
Xperia z stock 4.2.2 jb rooted
Bootloader locked
Edit: backbone just froze and forced closed On me after I just opened the app and did nothing.
Also when I try to copy a file from sd card to external usb it starts transferring but won't let you cancel it and I had to force close it. Is there any chance of implementing a bar or mb counter so we know how long is left On a transfer,

Use the play store on your browser instead of the play store app. It worked for me
