Dear all,
I am a new poster here who would like to introduce "Screen Torch", an application I developed during this week.
It is a simple torch application that uses your phone screen as a light source with a color you choose. It keeps the screen on and turns to maximum brightness automatically during execution, and the settings are restored when you leave the application.
The program is completely free with no ads. It is uploaded in Google Play:

Please feel free to try it if you are interested.
Thank you very much.
Best regards,
William
P.S. I am a newbie in Android programming, and I am well aware that there are many similar applications in the Android world. Please don't be too harsh to me. Thanks.

Hi everyone!
I would like to request some feedback and possibly some help with the free Android voucher app that we built, vouchAR.
As an overview....the main function is to find discount vouchers that are local to the user....so they can save money in restaurants and shops.
The method of presenting this information however is via an Augmented Reality camera view, with floating tags showing the locations of the discounts.
I would add a screen-shot but I don't have the forum privileges required yet as I am a junior member still!
At present the app has had around 10,000 downloads (since August) and conceptually we think its a great use of AR...however I know if needs a lot of cosmetic work and some usability tweaks (sharing etc). If any of you have time to trial it and comment I would be very thankful. Any feedback, pos or neg would be graciously received!
The app is available for download for UK Android users only at present, something I would also like to change once US partners are found.
Also, if you think you have the dev experience to add something to this app and might like to work with us on this then please PM me...
All the best!
Pete
Hi,
you might have a little more feedback and would maybe encourage more people to try your app if you would provide some more information:
- what does your app do
- what are the advantages
- screenshots
- QR Code
I guess a lot of people will see this and don't bother to go to the market, search for your App and download it, just to find out what its for.
Regards,
Becksman

Thank you for the advice Becksman, I have updated the original post with more details however I am unable to post a screenshot yet as I have limited forum rights. Screenshots can easily be found by searching goolge images for "vouchar"
Cheers!

Hi, how is going on, guys??
I was just testing my development skills with android apps, and I wondered if I could develop an app with shows Keycode or Keyevent of any hardware button... I did it, it is in the attatchment
Note that this is a tool that can be useful for developers, if you don´t know what is this app for, please don´t post bad comments about the app or rate low
I am currently finding an icon to use with this app... While I do this I decided to post it here...
Hope you enjoy it
Suggestions, etc are welcome
If necessary I will post some screenshots
Suggestion: forcing users to click the ad banner is annoying :silly:
That is the reason because I make the ad appear each two launches
Share the code
Hi,
Could you please share the code, i am doing some thing in the same manner.
This was exactly what I was looking for! Thanks!
HI all,
I'm somewhat new here -- been lurking a while, and have recently started posting. Anyways, I recently hit the marketplace with a free app I've developed, ScoreKeeper Plus: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bammsoft.scorekeeper
In a nutshell, it's a score keeping app, tailored towards board games and the likes, with many uses. Additionally, I've included a few useful utilities for such events -- a highly configurable dice roller and a game timer.
So far, I've received perfect reviews from my modest user-base (~20 users), but I'm looking to grow that and get some feedback to further development.
The app is free and has no ads, so please share with all who may find this useful!
All feedback is HIGHLY appreciated. :fingers-crossed:

Why does the app need permission to read contact data on the phone?
The description says why internet access is needed, but the combination of that and reading contact data for an app that doesn't seem to obviously need the phonebook could look suspicious.

Hi sorry, I missed this question. Thanks to the poster above, yes it's to pick player names from your contact list.
The network permission is to pull a message of the day when you first launch the app. The MOTD let's me communicate with my users. It pulls from here: http://android.bammsoft.com/ScoreKeeper/MOTD.txt
On a side note, I'm quite pleased because there's been an explosion of new users, a 700% increase in the past 2 days!
Cheers,
Shane
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
Just pushed a significant update (1.2.0). I added many translations and completely overhauled the new game screen.
Check it out!
EDIT: It's still propagating through the play store
EDIT 2: Is available now.
I want to reset my Note 3 to factory defaults. But I'm worried that my saved scores are gone after this. So my question is where are the scores saved and can I make a backup of it.
Thanks in advance!
Kind regards,
HS1986
@sjb933 do you have an alternative to your app or are you willing to put the app code in open source so it can be continued by others?

Hi XDA Developers Forum!
I just released my first android app - MoodTools. It's a free application aimed at helping people suffering from clinical depression!
Please let me know if you have any feedback or comments that you have, because I'm definitely looking to improve this app with future updates!
Description
If you are feeling sad, anxious, or depressed, MoodTools can help you lift your mood. MoodTools is an application designed to help you combat depression and alleviate your negative moods, guiding you towards the road to recovery.
Features
Thought Diary - Improve your mood by analyzing your thoughts and identifying negative / distorted thinking patterns based on principles from cognitive therapy
ReMotivate - Regain your motivation through this unique activity-tracking tool based on behavioral activation therapy
Safety Plan - Develop a suicide safety plan to keep you safe and find emergency resources during a suicidal crisis
Information - Read information on depression, self-help tips, and find resources
Test - Take the PHQ-9 depression questionnaire and track your symptom severity over time
Video - Discover helpful YouTube videos that can improve your mood and behavior, from guided meditations to enlightening TED talks

The app requires permission for the phone so it can launch the phone dialer with a number already entered in it for the safety plan portion of the application. No phone call can be made without going through a minimum of 3 taps: 1. Tap the 'Call' button within the safety plan app, 2. Tap the OK button the Dialog, 3. Tap the Call icon in the phone dialer.

In the past few weeks, I've updated the app to fix a lot of bugs, added support for more countries other than US (US, Canada, Australia, and India!), and made buttons prettier! Also I don't really know how to change the post title to reflect the version number - does anybody know how?
Thanks!

Thank you! Here is an apk if you want to download it:

Some of the material may not be applicable but the majority should be fine (ignore resource links, emergency number, etc.).
