[Q] What frequencies do you have your phone at? - T-Mobile LG G2x

Hey guys, I was just curious about what frequencies(overclock) people set their phones at. Right now I have mines at 1.2/300-normal. What about you guys?

Screen on - 216 to 816, 1100 when running a game such as Dead Space or Asphalt 6.
Screen off - 216 to 503, tried at 389 but phone wouldn't wake up sometimes.
Both governors are powersave.
Running EaglesBlood v2.8, kernel is Faux's CM v48.

Normal: max- 1200 min- 530

Still on defaults...haven't felt the need to over/under clock on this phone (unlike my original Droid)

1.56Ghz
Screen Off: 216mhz
On Call 216mhz - 594mhz

It would be very informative and useful to also ask people to post their usual settings and what ROM and Kernel they're using.

Lmao at the last couple posts.
I run 216/1200mhz screen on and 216/432mhz screen off
It is stable at 216/216 screen off but when I'm listening to Slacker radio its skips so 216/432 it is.

Pin it to Win it.

Was earlier on 1.56Ghz. Then downgraded to 1.4GHz
Now on stock

I'm running a modified version of HFS and a self built version of Morfic's XLP kernel with the second core pretty much disabled:
216mhz | 700mv
324mhz | 725mv
432mhz | 750mv
594mhz | 750mv
648mhz | 750mv
702mhz | 775mv
756mhz | 800mv
864mhz | 825mv
I flash this when i need good batt, and i get 24hrs with normal/medium usage with very low screen brightness with this setup.
Otherwise i just run stock XLP for a normal daily driver with +50mv added to each step.

The higher the OC the shorter the processor life, that is the general formula. But in terms of longevity, you should get many years OC'ing without problems.. You will know your individual processor breaking point because your scrolling will slow, and you will get reboots... Just install CM and cruise at 1.3ghz and you should be safe
JD
I can only run to 1.3 GHz stable, but there isn't any long term implications that I know of. My Nexus One was overclocked for months and never suffered any ill effects so I suspect the Nexus S will fair well or even better than that phone.

There is implications for any OC, but they will probably will not be felt in the short to mid term. OC damage can take years, but can also hit you in the short term if you OC to dangerous levels

New Web Benchmark Vellamo

Qualcomm have released a new web benchmark.
http://www.talkandroid.com/46561-qu...lamo-for-benchmarking-mobile-web-performance/
Post your scores here.
Here are mine for comparison:
SGS: 552
HTC Sensation: 744
For some reason my HTC Sensation scores quite low compared to the reference one
642.
The sensation they had listed was around 900. Wonder how they pulled that off?
Mine is a sensation by the way. Sorry for not stating that.
Mine is 746.
Got a 753.
Does using wifi make a difference?
Edit: 2nd run 777.
quick question for the ppl that downloaded this app and are overclocked. while overclocked, go to the vellamo app and go to system info, under cpu do it show both cores being overclocked cause when im oc'd it shows core 1 being oc'd and core 2 as 0, but both cores show the same freq when not oc'd. so my question is, is the method we use to oc just working on 1 core?

this is what it show on mines with no overclock, both cores show being clocked the same
damn sorry for the big pic
got a 760. no overclock. seems to be around the average... not counting that 900 score it shows.
and this is what it shows oc'd
So every time I run it I get a lower score. Now I'm down to 588. What the hell? Should I be concerned?
Also mine is not oc'd. Core 1 -1188, core 2 - 0. Could that be why I'm getting such low scores?
The comparison's inevitable, here's my SGS2. 941.
i wonder how fast does a stock android score hmmmm cant wait for perm ROOT
with a few tweaks i got my sensation upto 928. im sure i could push it a bit higher too.
edit: 951 on second run.
overclocked w/bloatware removed.
The scrolling tests show how badly we need a 3d accelerated browser/user interface on the Sensation.
I got 767 on my Sensation.

Wow! That is a hot score. Hmm...I have tried custom kernels on some other roms with mixed results (probably my fault). Anyway, I am willing to give it a try again. What is the best way to back up the original kernel in case I want to reinstall it? Of course their is a nandroid back up, but is there a simple way to back up just the kernel?

The highest I've gotten in Antutu is 3821 running Galnet MIUI ICS 1.11.19 OC'd to 1.4GHz. Highest I've gotten in Quadrant is 3778 using the same setup.
I think posting SS would be more legit than just sayin "7000 on X rom", its possible for anyone with a Infuse to take a ss and upload it trough xda app.
For instance I have never gone above 3200 on infused 2.2.3 (and i repeat I) but thats my Infuse only maybe, and im not saying its not possible...

What cpu governors are y'all using? This isn't a question thread about what's the best or anything like that, I'm just curious. For me right now on ViperXL with ElementalX 2.2 + elemental Xtras with CPU0 at 1.5 with Interactivex2, and cpu1 at 1.7 with Lionheart. Zippy!

My daily driver is ViperXL 2.4.1 with Beastmode Kernel 4.4 set at 192/1512. I'm on Badass governor and UV -50 across the board. This is the only setup so far that I can get 24hours of battery life and almost 4 hours of screen on time. I find this to be the most stable for "my phone" with no force closes, no random reboots, etc. Everything simply works.
I've tried all of the new JB roms and I always seem to get reboots at least a couple times a day. So I'll stick with ICS for now. Anyone else still on ICS custom roms?
