i have made an android application using a SQLite db with an extension .sqlite3 . my application is successfully running on an Android emulator 2.3.3 and i have put the db in Assets folder and also pushed it in DDMS with the following path =" /data/data/PACKAGE_NAME/database/myDBNAME.sqlite3" Size of my databse is around 4 MB.
How do i run the application on a phone ,rather how do i copy the db on phone ,so that the application can access the db.

Hello,
1. Do you know another script tool like "GScript Lite" or "Script manager". Those 2 tools cant execute a simple bash command "cp". I get the error message: "permission denied" for the line using this copy command (cp).
Should my Android cellphone be rooted? It is not mentioned in the description of those 2 tools.
2. What is the bash command list accepted by "GScript Lite" (and "Script manager") for non-rooted phone?
Maybe there is another scripting app enable to do what this:
I would write a simple script backing up some apps setting files to a folder in my microSD card. Then zip this folder, and put in my FTP server.
Thanks and regards.
CONFIG: SAMSUNG GALAXY S2 GT-i9100, Android 2.3.3, not rooted.

hi all
Please don't shoot me for not searching for this because I have and there was only one result in the HTC Pico forum which was way above my level of understanding.
Basically what I'm looking for is a script that a user can click on within ES File Explorer that will basically do the following:
Copy a ZIP file from Dropbox folder (the Dropbox account will have already been manually added)
Paste the ZIP file into a local folder (/sdcard/Android/data/)
Delete an existing folder in the local folder called 'files'
Extract the zip file to the folder, this will place a new folder called 'files'
Now I need to be able to run the script from the Android device itself rather than using a remote PC to run ADB commands, hence the reason why I'm asking if ES Explorer can be used. Basically I'm doing this several times a day using the graphical interface of ES File Explorer and it does it all, but several manul steps are involved, hence I'm wondering if someone can help me write script.
If anyone is interested in helping me I'm willing to pay you directly / or contribute to your selected charity / worthy cause.
If this were to be done by ADB commands I guess they would look something like this:
--place this script in the dropbox folder containg the files.zip file. Execute the script
adb shell cat files.zip /sdcard/Android/data/
adb shell cd /sdcard/Android/data/
adb shell rmdir files
adb shell unzip files.zip
Hoping someone can help.
Thanks.

Hi Darth
No problem at all, however isn't that forum related specifically to the HTC Pico?
You didn't mention another device? ?
Any recent android device, but in particular to tablets. Definitely not the HTC Pico though.
Thanks.
Then you need to be asking here,

Thank you. Thread closed.
Dear All!
I expect some problem with the device stated in my signature.
Sometimes (not always) when I insert OTG flash drive with FAT32 some strange zero-sized file creates in root directory of the drive. The file has name like "2691bc3e-163e-4828-83e4-b7815e344d0a" (the name changes from time to time).
If I want to unmount the drive normally - I have to delete this file before unmounting.
If I try to unmount without deleting - it will not be successful. Moreover if I try to delete the file after pressing unmount - the file cannot be deleted and the file manager freezes (tested on Root Explorer, Solid Explorer> Total Commander etc). After that I still cannot unmount the drive.
My questions are:
1. What can cause such file creation?
2. Is there any application that can show information about what active app is working with this file? I know about StickMount Pro, but it simply kills the app without giving any information about it.
Thanks in advance.

Hello Team,
I'm successfully able to install a usb driver to my android device.
But when I'm trying to copy and paste the adb_usb file to the .android folder on my windows user folder, i couldn't find the folder in the desktop> user folder.
Tried to create one, but the system isn't allowing me to create one.
Hi there,
I'm sorry but I can't find anything related to your question.

Good luck
To be precise, my purpose is: I want to use an MS Access database, stored in my mobile memory through a software on my laptop, both being in the same WiFi network.
I have used various file manager apps, but everywhere I am able to just copy, paste or move the file through laptop on mobile and vice versa.
To give an example: Through ES File Explorer, I opened an excel file in my mobile through my laptop and worked on it. But when I wanted to save, then instead of saving on the same excel file, it created a new copy. But my purpose was that it should have saved on the same excel file, like it happens to any other file if saved on laptop memory.
I hope I've been able to explain myself.
I'll be really glad if someone could provide me a solution to this.
PS: I have rooted my phone, so problem of not having root access won't be there.
