IT ALLOWS YOU TO CHARGE VIA USB! It should, of course, be noted that it will probably not charge as fast as it would with the OEM charger or any 2 amp charger. But it does work. It didn't take long to get it (they ship from Hong Kong) and the price is worth it. I have also used it with my Sharper Image portable power pack with success. May have to get myself another one as a backup.

I bought the same one...
Also bought the SD/USB adapter and pickup a original galaxy tab dock for gen 1 model for a fiver down the market,
The dock is a tight fit but I dremeled a slit down the side so it fits much better....

MUST HAVE it too
Sent from my Galaxy Note with DarkyROM 3.3

I have one of those too, but is too tight of a fit for me to dare use it. That's not necessarily representative for other units though, as these chinese accessories don't exactly match up from batch to batch

After some more use I've discovered that while it will let me charge via usb it will not actually recognized that it's connected to a computer. But it was still worth not to carry that big block around with me.

I'm sorry for not having the resources to figure this out....but how much would that be in USD?
I think I might be interested if its affordable to me. Second, is it brand new or used?
Oh...I should probably ask are you willing to ship to US?
That's about $512.00.
crunluath is correct, it's approximately $500... Postage would be on top of that.
It's brand new and boxed. I have opened the box to check the contents and that's it. I've not even switched it on, so whoever buys it will be the first one to use it!

I think the main thing is that it be USB OTG. There is a huge thread somewhere discussing this topic. Based on that thread, I ordered one of these and am hopeful that it will work properly.

The only one guaranteed to work is called the Motorola Camera Kit, and consists of a small adapter (3-4") referenced in the post above. There are others advertised as OTG cables/adapters) but they're pretty hit or miss.

[Q] QI Wireless Charging MOD/Case for Note 10.1

Hello,
is there a possibility for wireless charging for the Note 10.1 out there?
Anybody who put a coil in it?
Or any external solutions?
I could not find anything about it
regards, Christian

I have an idea how you could do it with this very thin $17 kit http://www.ebay.com/itm/Free-Shipping-Wireless-Charge-Power-Module-Board-Charger-Kits-For-DIY-/251314383690?pt=US_Cell_Phone_PDA_Chargers&hash=item3a83812b4a

and this $11 back case cover. http://www.ebay.com/itm/HEAD-CASE-BLACK-X-HARD-CASE-BACK-CASE-COVER-FOR-SAMSUNG-GALAXY-NOTE-10-1-N8000-/190851314616?pt=US_Tablet_eReader_Cases_Covers_Keyboard_Folios&hash=item2c6f9ff3b8
If you sanded off the tabs on this hard cover that hold the Note 10.1 the Note would then just lay in the hard shell and you could get perfect coil alignment without using magnets.
So..... with some odds and ends you most likely already have (tape, soldering iron, hot melt glue, an old usb cable) you could do this for under $30 bucks.
The only 3 issue's I see is will the Note 10.1 charge with only 600 ma of power (not likely), is there enough room to fit the coil under the back cover (good chance) and were do you connect the 5 volt power lead inside the case??????
Here is a disassembly video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUyI74c0DhE that may help if anyone decides to tackle this project because I'm not ready to risking my $400 dollar investment, maybe if I find one with a cracked screen on ebay for cheap I might try it.

Motorized wireless charger + S5 = AWESOME

So I got my Japanese market Panasonic QE-TM101 Qi wireless charging dock plus my Samsung wireless charging back cover and happy to report the two work together fantastic!
The Panasonic QE-TM101 is the coolest Qi wireless charger I've ever used and owned. You don't have to line up your device on any particular spot, just plop it down anywhere and the charger will sense and find your device. I love it!
Check out my little video for it in action. Sorry about the music, I had a screaming toddler in the background.

Where did you buy?

Where did you get this? Looks pretty cool
EDIT: found it on eBay but for £50 which is too expensive for a charger for me! None in the UK either they were all from overseas

Ive owned one of these for 2 years now and the thing I dont like about is it will charge it to 100% but will then shut off. So in the middle of the night when the phone is using battery and drops to 90% it wont turn back on and charge it back to 100%. It will only charge when its first placed on it.
Smart!!! What output do they have? Can they penetrate thin cases? Cheers.
The panasonic one is the old version, it's been out over two years ago, there is a newer one by sanyo, but sold under the name ntt docomo, model number is model two.
Sanyo is owned by panasonic.

[Review] Ankway USB C to C cable (pics)

Hellooooooooo fellow XDA'ers. Leaving a review here for a product that was offered to me at a discounted rate for the purpose of a review. Yes, that means I still had to pay a little bit out of my own pocket to get the cable.
http://www.amazon.com/USB-Cable-6FT...&qid=1450463579&sr=8-1&keywords=ankway+c+to+c
That's the one right there from Amazon.
Pros: Lengthy 6 ft cable for only $8
Build quality is comparable to the 6p included cable
Nice tactile and audible "click" when attaching to the 6p
Charges at just shy of 3A (total input current of 2940mA average via Ampere)
Includes Velcro strap to keep things tidy
Cons:
- Charging "head" is slightly thicker than stock 6p cable (refer to included pics with ruler)
- after a month of normal use in one area only (not moving from place to place), connection no longer works properly. Must lean the plug against something at certain angles for the charge to go through
Would I buy it again: No. Longevity is an issue.
Any questions, post em here.

That's why people shouldn't skimp on cables. Tronsmart, Choetech, and IOrange make good cables based on my usage.
