Does anyone have an active link to ANY 2.3.3 rom. Need it so I can ruu my buddy's phone back to stock.

Anyone at all? Last piece of the puzzle to fixing my friends phone.

I'm not sure if this will help... Try the link from the OP...

Unfortunately not. I need a custom rooted ROM with gb 2.3.3 as a base so I can use the ruu to put it back to stock.

I have no issues flashing an old RUU on my phone with ICS on it, just need s-off and super cid
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
His phone doesn't have s-off. That's the issue. Need it back to stock so I can use revolutionary to root properly.
Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
Maybe factory restore will do.... That might bring it back to the old version.... I'm assuming he was just getting official OTAs
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4g with Beats Audio
He had just got the phone 2 weeks ago. Used htcdev to unlock. Now can't get s-off or relock.

So he's S-ON, but unlocked via HTC?
What HBOOT is he on?

Just reflash the latest RUU for his handset - you don't need to go back at all
I have been running the ruu through windows and it always gets an error. Is there a different way to flash it?
Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
Connect the phone in fastboot mode and then run it - works fine for me that way
...and it worked that way with your bootloader unlocked?
Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
Finally got this fixed. Thanks for all of the help.

What did you do - means others who search for this can find out how you did it?

You would first have to extract the rom from the ruu file and then extract the hboot from that. Idk if it is in a flashable form tho...

Got to ask, why would you want to ?
Because I am trying to send the phone back to HTC. When I rooted the phone is used the revolutionary method. Now after installing the stock Ruu and thanks using the phone back to s-on it says locked in bright pink letters. After reading the forums it says i have to flash the stock hboot from the stock RUu
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA App
wouldn't just running your stock ruu flash everything back to how it was? hboot and all
I have tried that it did until I updated the ota then now it says locked in the pink lettering and the hboot is 1.7.000
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA App
i need to upgrade to 1.04.0000 hboot sooooo i can use the revolutionary method to root this phone just wondering if some one can kindly help me.
This phone has 1.03.0000 so I been looking over xda and haven't came across anyone with this hboot version. ?

I'm having the same issue. I think this might help. I haven't tried it yet

Yea that would be my first guess too. Only thing is that I think there is an hboot version on the thunderbolt that root and stuff was never found.

I know there is root for 1.04 and 1.05 hboot versions... maybe it was 1.03 that wasn't found?

Update: yea you're right dude. 1.03 has no exploit with their tool at least. He would have to go back down to a lower bootloader and then ota up.

On the revolutionary site they listed one bootloader that the unlock exploit won't work for.

Send it back. Believe me, a refurbished Thunderbolt isn't worth the extra effort if they can't get their crap straight at Asurion.
When I got my refurbished Thunderbolt back from Asurion, I didn't have a GPS location at all. It picked up no where near my location.
Got a new one the second time around... not a refurbished one.
But anyways, the full RUU contains a radio... that cannot be flashed without s-off.
Sent from my ADR6400L using xda premium
You can at least RUU via Windows, and it's been a while but I thought *signed* RUUs could be flashed in PG05IMG format, S is for signature verification or security....
But you can't go wrong with sending it back for a potentially new one.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Yes, signed.
Sent from my ADR6400L using xda app-developers app
You can ruu signed ruus but you won't be able to downgrade radios or android versions either I think. Ruu is supposed to be for upgrade and they have tried to set it up that way.

U talking about downgrading my hboot? I don't think down grading is going to help I kinda thought maybe it would be fixed by the new radio but that hasn't done anything. I'm starting to wonder more if it's the phone itself cause I know my sims card isn't the issue
