[APP][3.0+] Status Bar Volume Panel Plus 2.1 - Android Apps and Games

* This app requires Android version 3.0 and up. (3.x Honeycomb and 4.x Ice Cream Sandwich)
Status Bar Volume Panel Plus enables the user to quickly control system volumes (media, ring, notification, in-call, or automatic) via buttons in a status bar notification.
The volume level display in the notification is continuously updated to reflect all volume changes.
* If you like this app, please support my work by purchasing the donate key. Thank you!
This app is free in the Play Store
Please try it and give feedback!
Thanks again!

v2.1:
- Auto restart notification after preference changes
- Added transparent status bar icon option
- Added Automatic mode: Media volume will be adjusted when music is playing and the in-call volume when a voice call is going up etc.
- Added help resources
- Bug fixes

Great app man my volume buttons are not working on my tab and this is a very nice feature to have in status bar

Looks great
It looks like a very helpful app !
Currently what annoys me the most is the colors and general looks
It works perfectly on DesireHD MIUIv4. but the blending of the buttons with the status bar, is awful i think a little customization option will solve this out
See attachment !
Thanks again !

Making the buttons white should do it
Sent from my Incredible 2 using Tapatalk 2 Beta-5

aw now im waiting for a 2.3 one >_>

Tested the white buttons versions
I can say that now it 'works' !
Screenshot attached, looks excellent !
Only thing i thought of was the volume 'scale' font color which i think is a bit to bright ...
Thanks a lot kevdliu !!

you have a great app, congratulations!
please, let me say a few suggestions:
- the option to enable/disable use of icons/images instead of buttons
- an icon on the left will be nice, maybe the "volume level number" can be there too (check the uploaded image, how it's look on my asus transformer with ICS)
- play a beep when changing volume
thanks for this, it's great (i hate using the hardware volume buttons)

Yeah nice! It's so annoying to use the hardware-buttons for volume.
Thanks man, gonna use this on my One X when it arrives hopefully soon...

one suggestion, from this configuration the application can only configure one volume at a time. how about making it a quick call for calling up volume slider like pressing the "V", so that can have quick access to all volume?

no, works great
i don't use the last button, i only control the media volume, maybe an option to remove the last one or select which buttons to display (just an idea)
also, will be great to set white on the buttons text color (not the button color)
now i have gray buttons with black text, and the other option gives white buttons who looks worst (on ics roms)
as always, thanks for the app

it's currently not possible for third-party apps to put buttons in notifications on android 2.3. the mechanism will probably have to be different (less convenient)

Working nicely.
Though there are some feature i would like to request.
1. Can have a option not to display icon on notification bar?
2. Can make those buttons customizable?
Now there are 5 categories of volume level (media, notification, ring, in-call, system) and 4 type of option (mute, volume up, volume down, cycle), is it possible to interchange these total of 9 option into the available 4 slot in the drop down notification ? Just like homescreen dock where we can put any app in the app drawer into it, can make the 4 button slot customizable with these volume option?

the android system requires an icon on the status bar if a notification is to be displayed. i can make the icon transparent but then there will be just a blank space between icons.

Dynamic Volume Control Widgit?

Should be a pretty simple one, is there currently a widgit available where you can change the volume from your home screen or within the status bar without having to open a seperate window? Also preferable if it's always accurate instead of having to update at set intervals - thanks

[Q] task bar transparent until I touch it

This only happens on main screen. I am running Liquidsmooth Jellybean 4.2.1, It started randomly tonight and I cannot find a fix for it. Restarted phone, uninstalled apps that could be causing problems with it. my task bar becomes transparent on the homescreen but when i touch it it becomes black again but when i let go it just becomes transparent. Do I need too reflash my rom or what?

Custom roms usually have modified that part and I would need to add custom support for them. I just posted new version with Paranoid Android support, but I don't think its possible to support each and every custom ROM with this type of app. There are no standards and each ROM modifies it differently

Really..all u have to do is download the app..open it..press install/update and reboot and thats it..the customizations are for stock. It doesn't change the look..just adds and remove certain features. If you don't like then dont change it.

You should have installed 2 apps "xposed installer" & "nottach xposed". Open the "exposed install" app..hit "install/update" under the Frameworks side..on the top right side you should see "Modules"..enable "Nottach exposed". Then reboot. Now open the Nottach Exposed app and start customizing.
Its cool that things are starting to work across different variants and carriers. Hopefully ROMs and kernel won't be far behind.
I guess i was trying to make too many changes but nottach crashed on me. i had to clear app cache and data then clear framework and reinstalled and make changes again. just fyi if it happened when i had changed the color on status bar, changed the notification window colors. Then i tried changing to notification bar color and thats when it rebooted with default colors
thanks for this! This solved so many things I found annoying about this phone. The 100% charge notification??? Ugh!!! And more! here's my modded drop-down notification drawer. I changed the colors and transparency. I think it looks great!
The one thing I did notice was that the Circle Battery mod didn't work after a reboot.

(Guide) Navigation Bar keyboard color

I've had the phone for one day and it's a sexy phone. However I was encountering an annoyance with the navigation bar (the bottom strip with the home button and back button.) There is an option to change the navigation bar background color (settings > display > navigation bar > background color) but the issue is that it only applies when the keyboard is not present. I set my color to black, but everytime I would send a text or type anything the bottom navigation bar would switch to default white. I like my dark theme and this was a YUGE issue for me, but some people may enjoy the contrast or be fine with white.
The fix I found is a program called "NavBar Apps"
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pl.damianpiwowarski.navbarapps
It works without root (which is not yet possible) and allows a user to set a static color for the navigation bar, plus other options like battery or dynamic nav bar color from current application. I don't use these features as I enjoy my solid black, but they are interesting to try.
In my opinion static color for the nav bar is the best as I strongly dislike the changing of solid colors between open and closed keyboard.
Hopefully this is helpful, peace

I've had the phone for one day and it's a sexy phone. However I was encountering an annoyance with the navigation bar (the bottom strip with the home button and back button.) There is an option to change the navigation bar background color (settings > display > navigation bar > background color) but the issue is that it only applies when the keyboard is not present. I set my color to black, but everytime I would send a text or type anything the bottom navigation bar would switch to default white. I like my dark theme and this was a YUGE issue for me, but some people may enjoy the contrast or be fine with white.

This was great. Thank for sharing. ?
Great! Thanks! Anything we can do about notifications background being white even if I have a black theme?

Make an exception in your app killers
Thank you so much! I realized, however, that the app does need to be running in the background for the color fix to work. Which is fine as long as my nav bar matches my black keyboard
Awesome, it works perfectly!
That's all well and good, but a reminder: static images burn in on AMOLED screens. Perhaps Sammy set it to change as a preventative measure.
I just got the s8+ and I am wondering if there is a way to make the keyboard larger on the screen. Thanks!

This isn't quite the place to post your question.
However
While the Samsung Keyboard is open, press the key that looks like a gear, and select "Keyboard size and layout."
Make sure to always thoroughly check app settings!

I'm using SwiftKey. Wonderful app.
Hi, I got my s8+ a couple of days ago and I am using a black theme from Samsung which indeed doesn't theme the nav bar when the keyboard is open.
I am afraid to root it right away and if this works then I am all for it.
Question: themes from the Samsung store only change the color of the built-in apps but not the 3rd party apps like whatsapp.
Even the color of the notifications are still white. Any ideas?

Then just go for black navigation bar. No burn in with shut down pixels.

I was thinking more of the navigation buttons themselves. The image of the keys inverts when the bar is white.

There are actually many people reporting burn in on the navigation buttons, sadly. I was looking for a way to keep the bar fully functional but invisible. Do you guys know anyway to do it? Thanks

I use All In One Gestures to activate immersive mode. Unfortunately the keyboard (and a few other random things) don't work while in immersive mode, so I set an edge gesture at the bottom of the screen to deactivate it if I need to use the keyboard.
I also set navigation to edge gestures so I don't need to exit immersive mode often.

I think all of this is a lot o hassle. Mine's coming today and I'll try some immersive mode options, but will keep looking for the invisible icons idea as this would change absolutely nothing on my daily use of the device.
