Hi please help, as i am going crazy with this problem, i couldnt find help via google or forums, so maybe some one can help please.
I have a rooted samsung galaxy s2 19100, and since i flashed it, the camera is given me this weird problem, its fine in day light, or when i have flash on, but its annoying me, when its no natural light, and i point the camera to a semi-darker place, for example my black tv, laptop, carpet, sofa etc... the problem is hard to explain, but the picture goes all pixelated, and funny like its fuzzy and yu can see the dots moving.. i hope that made sense, but its just quiet annoying.
I dont know when this issue started, but it could have been once when i flashed kernel via odin, and forgot to put phone in usb debugging mode, thats only thing that springs to mind.. The camera version is 1.0

Please help, but any suggestions that dont include factory reset please

It might just be a limitation of the camera itself. Phone cameras don't generally work well in low light settings.

Hello all, not much of a poster, would normally just read (been around for years), but when you PM the creator of the ROM and he tells you to post a thread seeking others with the same bug, I shall do it...
I loved 6.4, tried to hold off on 7, but i had a few days off....
7 install went perfect from the website... Then first call, screen goes blank. (A common bug I had read in other 2.3.3). I can live with that bug... But, always, 10 seconds into a call, I can no longer hear the other party, wether on internal or external speaker. Caller can still hear me. If I wait long enough, I can hear again, well for a minute or two, then it will stop working again, like the phone is muting the other end. My mute does not work and still says video call, something the other 2.3.3's do not...
No issues with Skype, the old hacked version still works, so I made it threw the day.
Last night, I tried some other 2.3.3's out there, just nothing compares to Serendipity...
Briefly went to cm_captivatemtd_full-20.zip last night with galaxys-bootloader-JVB.tar and talens in the PDA.... The phone worked... So I know I can get to 2.3.3 I just can not live with out some of the features in Serendipity. Then I reflashed s7, then reloaded the galaxys-bootloader-JVB.tar and talens in the PDA, and she worked for 3 calls, then back to error....
I did read about one other person having this issue 3 days after he installed S7, but can not find that post now. So for MikeyMike, any one else have this issue?
Now for me, is there anyway I can remove all the phone files from cm_captivatemtd_full-20.zip and transplant into my s7? Or maybe it is a different modem file (what I know nothing about).... My little 300 ohm micro usb I made is still holding up, so I am game to try anything....
For now, heading back to 6.4, it just simple was perfect...

Whatever you're on that works, toe *#1234# in the dialer and it will tell you what modem you have.

This sounds unfortunate. I flashed S7 on monday and other than the well documented battery drain bug of Gingerbread, I am having no problems. Phone is more responsive, battery life is better (when you catch the bug and restart the phone). I am very impressed with the build. The CRT screen of animation gets some looks.

I installed 7 after using 6.4 sucessfully. After I got thu, I lost my root.The buttons at the bottom did not work the same as befor and whenever I am connectec to my computer It says connected to Kies and to use the home key to get out. NOT, So here I go off the install 6.4 or something else.

i have galaxy s i9000 international version.
when i buy this phone, it got t-mobile logo when booting up. MEMORY 8GB.
it can't enter download or recovery mode, A.K.A not upgradeable.
after that i've decided to change the mainboard (machine Main).
i got 16GB after replacement, it works, can enter both download & recovery mode.
i just realize, after that replacement, my phone IMEI was change to 004999010640000.
cause it's different machine (mainboard), i try bring back to samsung, but sam say cannot input my old imei to my phone,
because everything is normal, i leave it as it is.
after a week, i realize, my phone drain battery, i try to install custom rom, which is has large battery life, but i'm still facing this battery problem.
using GB XXJVR stock after 3 charging recycles, my standard battery only last 6 hours tops medium usage.
so i buy momax 2700mAh, tops 15 hours medium usage.
strange i see people buy momax for they sgs, it last 2 days.
okay i can live with this.
when samsung chaton released, i installed, after sms verification success.
enter setting and cek push status unavailable, i try many times, still unavailable.
my question:
- after change mainboard replacement, why my phone drain battery?
- how to input my IMEI back?
_ Why samsung chat in my phone has a problem ? (push status unavailable)
i really need answer, facing this problem until now.

it say cannot format data /devblock/mckpe02, so with cache/dbdata,
when trying to wipe dalvik, it says unknown [sdcard/-ext] something like that.
what should i do?

I have an Atrix 4G, from time to time and becoming more consistent lately. I'll go to type a message or just click an app icon and all the buttons just press on there own or app icons get clicked on there own, wifi will shut off on its own sometimes but that i dont care about. Right now my phone is just bugging out typing gibberish and what not. I can't even use it currently. It did not get wet and I just recently did a factory reset. It is not rooted or anything like that, all stock. Please help. Thanks.

I've been searching for a while now and cannot find the answer to my phone being a butt. :-/
Last month (July 16, 2012), my husband rooted my Captivate from Froyo to ICS. He installed RemICS-UX on it and now my notification lights do not work, my front-facing camera does not work, and now the phone will shut off after about an hour after the battery is charged ( I charge while I'm in bed, so it's not good that I use it as an alarm!)
Yes, I'm a noob, so no haters please. My husband can't fix it as he's in the Army; shipped off already and cannot fix my phone :'(

Never seen one with front Cam before... only the fascinate.
Well the rom is for phones Without a front facing camera so that's probably why it doesn't work.. You can probably port a I9000 rom and not remove FFC to make it work.... And the sleep deaths were a pretty common issue fixed for some by flashing I9000 bootloaders (bootloaders are very risky to flash so only flash if you really really have to... There's a chance of hard bricking your phone)
And how the hell did you get a FFC on captivate?

Not really sure how this is possible. You sure you have the i897?
Maybe if you took a picture of the phone and posted it up, we would be able to better tell what model of phone you have and get you to the place you need to be.

I apparently got my phones mixed up; it must be the proximity sensor :-/
Wonder why it keeps trying to open the FFC while in "camera" mode...weird! lol
So the death after charging looks to be a "normal" issue. Thanks for the help everyone!
The person who ported that rom did not have permission to do so. And that said person said the front camera files were removed per the OP, but apparently not...or at least not all. That is, if the rom being referenced is this one... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=27347627
And bln was not included in the early versions of that rom.
Or ur hubby might have just installed the original rom as is, not being a ported rom. Either way....it is what it is.

The sound started playing 2-3 days ago everytime i power my screen on.
The sound in question
Its not the lockscreen, i dont remember to install any new apk.
The issue is also linked with the infrared sensor not working properly. When im calling someone the screen flashes near my ear (the screen is not black)
Do you know whats causing it?
