[Q] samsung i9000 & chaton apps problem - General Questions and Answers

hi all!!
please forgive me if i' making mistakes make this in the wrong section.
i have galaxy s i9000 international version.
when i buy this phone, it got t-mobile logo when booting up. MEMORY 8GB.
it can't enter download or recovery mode, A.K.A not upgradeable.
after that i've decided to change the mainboard (machine Main).
i got 16GB after replacement, it works, can enter both download & recovery mode.
i just realize, after that replacement, my phone IMEI was change to 004999010640000.
cause it's different machine (mainboard), i try bring back to samsung, but sam say cannot input my old imei to my phone,
because everything is normal, i leave it as it is.
after a week, i realize, my phone drain battery, i try to install custom rom, which is has large battery life, but i'm still facing this battery problem.
using GB XXJVR stock after 3 charging recycles, my standard battery only last 6 hours tops medium usage.
so i buy momax 2700mAh, tops 15 hours medium usage.
strange i see people buy momax for they sgs, it last 2 days.
okay i can live with this.
when samsung chaton released, i installed, after sms verification success.
enter setting and cek push status unavailable, i try many times, still unavailable.
my question:
- after change mainboard replacement, why my phone drain battery?
- how to input my IMEI back?
_ Why samsung chat in my phone has a problem ? (push status unavailable)
i really need answer, facing this problem until now.
thanx all.

Try a New Battery
Have you tried a new battery? Although you may think its getting a full charge maybe you got a bad or refurbished battery try that first.
yeah
Yeah i had tried that .... it didnt helped ................

have you tried reflashing? to clean out anything that may be jacked up?
what have you recently changed? i think i would definitely try flashing a clean rom and see what happens there (back-up first of course in case it doesnt help and you want to flash back and get all your stuff back)

wow then, well...im sorry to say, but you're probably out of luck. if you have tried replacing the hardware as well as the software, then there must be some sort of problem with the battery connection or some other internal issue...something you wouldn't likely be able to fix.
sorry, good luck.
UMM i guess i m stucked .. can any one plzz gimme some idea whats wrong with my ppc
I sense that you might be desperate for ideas....
I've had some odd battery problems, too, and what seems to help me the most is to drain the battery entirely, or at least very, very close to it, and then recharge it without interruption completely.
AEBPlus has a "disable "power off" if not used function that might keep it powered up while you drain it, or might, on an outside chance, even solve your problem.
It almost sounds as if the unit is telling you the batttery is at 50%, but really it's just about drained. It could be there's something set somewhere to have it power off at 50% rather than 0-5% like usual, but the former sounds more likely to me. You might want to check to see what sort of time/usage other units like yours get out of a battery-full. Maybe just reading your numbers differently (50=0, 75=50 etc.) is the way to go.

sgs2 problem

Hi! Recently my sgs2 started to f'ck up. it start and stop vlingo voice/car mode, on off on off on off etc.. non stop! and the battery icon is flashing like hell and the battery goes to 50 % in no time and from 50% it doesnt flash and the battery is normal. and the micro usb port stops to work. then when i do factory reset its normal for like 1-2 days and then the phone start to f'ck up again
im running original firmware and havent flashed the phone once.
any1 else got same problem, know the solution or know what the problem is ?
hopefully ill get some answers.
peace out!
Try posting your question in the Galaxy SII Q&A. You'd probably get more answers there.

Brick after reboot ?

hello there,
yesterday i've flashed an JB rom, it works very well, i install all my stuff and sygic from the play store .
when i try to download additional data for sygic, the image on the screen doubled, like a screenshot on the active screen with 2 or 3 pixels on the right .
so i pull out battery and pull it in and try to reboot, but nothing, not even a light on screen or on softkeys.
and i noticed if i leave the battery in it, the phone become warm in 5 minutes, like it was running .
does anyone have a clue to save this one ?
sorry for my english, i'm french

Try some of the following:
-Leave the battery out for a few hours, press the power button a few times before putting the battery back in and then try to boot
-Adam's Unbrickable (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1397393)
first, thanks for your reply guys,
so, does you mean battery is dead or something ?
and i try unbrickable software, but device is not detected, so i ask its developers to have information about the hardware mod, still no answer .
or maybe i do something bad trying to use this tool ?
This sounds a lot like what happened to my NS earlier this week. Here's a link to my post about what happened: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1844034
I originally thought it was a battery problem, but my wife and I both have a NS so I tried her battery in mine and it still didn't work. Also, my battery worked fine in hers.

yeah, i've seen your post early today while searching solutions.
does anyone know how to use the unbrickable tool ? in his post, the dev says something and in the software says something else !?!
i finally apply the hardware mod on my own, use the unbrickable tool , but now, i have search and home key lighted so what to do next on linux ?

Trble Shoot: I can not receive text msgs!! Samsung Galaxy S4 SGH-M919N

Good morning,
A lifelong friend of mine directed me to your forums. My Samsung Galaxy S4 SGH-M919N will not allow my text messages to come through until I make or receive phone calls. The phone calls somehow push the texts through.
At this time, I have deleted all apps, removed battery & SD Card & reinserted, & next did a factory reset, none of which have resolved my issue. I have looked all through my device settings & text settings...I just don't see anything that would help fix my problem. PLEASE HELP!!! Ready to make my phone aerodynamical any moment!
Thanks,
Kimmy
(I did try and sift through some other posts & do some research, if anyone can point me to an earlier discussion where I may get some pointers it would be greatly appreciated!)
I had this similar problem before and I have theories about it
1.) your phone is in airplane mode
2.) you're using a custom rom and that caused the bug
I actually have a lot more but i think these two are mainly the reason.
if your phone is in airplane mode you should turn it off and it should work normally and if you are using a custom rom try revering back to your stock one
hope I helped ?

@ CarloskunI thought it was acting like it was in airplane mode myself, but I've checked that & it isn't. As for custom ROM, trust me when I say I am a very simple & basic phone user....... I had only 4 apps on my phone (besides what it came with & I don't really use those apps...why do they install them & bog my phone down!!?). At this time I don't even have 4 b/c I deleted them in hopes of fixing my issue of receiving texts.
As my phone sits now, it is in its factory reset condition. Zero Apps, nothing custom.
Also I have 2 phones, 1 is the S4 & the other is the S5. My S5 is fine ....so I have compared settings to make sure something didn't get out of whack. All looks good.
Thank you for replying.

I replied to you incorrectly by adding another post, instead of a direct reply. Still getting the hang of this, I've never used forums for anything before.

Xperia V problems after ROM install

Hi everyone, i'm new here.
I had some adventures with installing andorid ROMs (LG GT540i and Samsung Galaxy S2)
Now i've installed this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-t-v/v-development/rom-aicp-lp-10-0-t3189974 on my Xperia V and i have many problems.
First of all, my CWM doesn't show the "backup/restore" option, and I'm worried about it (i think i don't need to answer why).
Second, and more important. System is switching off... suddenly. It doesn't matter if its charged 89% of battery or 21, but i see that it happens more often, when battery is low.
Sometimes it even happens, a couple of times in a row... I CAN'T EVEN PUT A PIN CODE IN COUSE ITS RESETING ITSELF..
I don't know what kind of information do you need to see, in order to help me, but i will try my best to provide you anything i can.
LOVE
XYZ
sorry for band englando
