I just started using the Chrome browser the other day and I really like it. However, I've been noticing that from time to time my transformer will quit going into deep sleep (and I have to reboot to get deep sleep working again).
I just finally figured out that it was the Chrome beta browser that was causing this! As soon as I un-installed Chrome, my transformer started going into deep sleep again (without rebooting).
Can anyone else please confirm/deny?
Thanks!

Pages won't load and I can't get it to work unless I restarted. XScope seems to be working a lot better. Anyone else have problems with their browsers after waking from sleep?
Has anyone experienced this or has this been discussed in any thread for the TF? But my stock browser often closes unexpectedly with no force close message and returns to the home screen. When reopened, it forgets the recently the opened pages. Very, very annoying..

I got this a few times last night. It happened mainly on large/busy sites. I think this is an issue that will be rectified with the future 3.1 update.
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using XDA Premium App
Had it happen once or twice in the past 3 weeks. I think it is just an HC stability issue.
It seems to happen to me more often after I updated to the latest Adobe Flash 10.3.
Ditto. It has happened here every once and a while... But not enough to bother me.. I assume it will be addressed later.
This happened about 3 times yesterday evening while I was browsing. I don't know if it is related to a HC stability bug, or an Adobe Flash bug, although I'm more inclined towards the former, because I can browse perfectly fine with my Atrix on Flash 10.3. Also, I noticed a strange thing for the first time yesterday: When the browser crashes with no FC message, and you restart it back again, I get a screen filled with banding and multi-colored interference. Only way to fix it is to restart. I hope all of this gets taken care of with 3.1, because the browser experience really leaves something to be desired on 3.0.1 in my opinion. It just does not handle any heavy pages at all, let alone any embedded videos or just videos period.
happens when you try surfing to gmail
If you would like to see it crash 100% of the time, go to your gmail and try to open a message
It also freaks out in Gmail main page.
I was having browser crashes as well until the sudden disk space full error. After my factory reset the browser crashes have gone away. I wonder if they are related.
I got it twice in 3 weeks. It happened both times on Yahoo's ain page.
Happens to me also but never loses its place.
3.1
i first noticed this happening last night, 2nd night after updating to 3.1. never happened before that. i don't have the screen timeout on so the screen will stay on so i can see my moves list at a glance on a website. after about 10-15 minutes of not touching device it will just suddenly return to the homescreen and if i open browser it has to reload the page. i thought maybe it was something to do with the built in android memory management auto killing the browser, since there doesn't appear to be any flash on the page.
i too am having this problem.
Stock browser is where it started, so I go Dolphin HD and it still happens. So its not the browser itself it would seem, since 2 different browsers both do it.
There HAS to be a fix for this...
Since the 3.1 update I'm seeing something different - The browser simply stops responding after a while.

I to am having trouble with my browser. I am experiencing it ceasing to function aftwr awhile as l as frequent crashing when I load it. Crashes all the time if I type anything or use the menu if Ido so before it finishes loading my home page.
When your updated to 3.1, click reset all in the settings menu. Then when it's finish go into the browser settings and set plugins to be on demand. I'm able to run well like that it is flash that kills it, soon as you click the flash content to enable it on a page it may crash.
My transformer has been resetting on its own and randomly. Its stock with the newest update and not rooted.
I also have mad issues with the deep sleep. Have not been able to narrow down the problem. Hardware?
Anyone else getting the same problem?
Try doing a full factory reset, Settings -> Privacy -> Factory Data Reset. Do not forget to backup your data first.

Yesterday I had the transformer sitting in sleep mode next to me while I was doing some work on the desktop and saw the ASUS start up logo come on the Transformer. I have only had this tablet for six days, but this is the first restart on it's own that I have observed. I also have had three episodes of the deep sleep issue.
Edit: Right after I posted this, I looked down and the ASUS logo had appeared again from sleep mode. Go figure...
I've seen this on my 32gb unit. I'd be doing something and turn away a moment, when I looked back I would see the Asus boot logo. It's sneaky though and I have yet to catch it in the act at the exact moment of reboot. The deep sleep lockup has happened a few times as well.
Hi,
Today my transformer (B6O serial, Andriod 3.2) started having a pretty strange behavior: when left in standby, time to time impredictively reboots, or better, display switches-on showing the start screen (the one with the Nvidia logo) without really rebooting. The only way to go on is pressing the power button few seconds to force the reboot.
Any idea about what's happening?
It looks like something turning in background is causing the problem: I tried uninstalling applications installed the last week, but problem is still there.
When on, tablet is pretty stable, so it does not look being a hw problem...
I'll go with a full reset only on extreme ratio: if being caused by third party sw, it will reappear as soon as apps are reinstalled by market with my google account.
Thanks in advance for any help
If this is not rooted then definitely try a factory reset as it could be a hardware fault as well and might have to get it fixed.
If you find an app that caused it let us know
This happens to mine.
My transformer will just keep rebooting itself in a loop, what causes it is the wifi. The router that it tries to connect to must screw up after being continuously on, so I just reset my router and it works again
(also disabling wifi on your transformer will stop it from rebooting, a good way to check if this is what is causing it)
Well, night passed with no reboots.
To note:
- I have left it in stand-by with a minimum of applications open (advanced task manager, navigator, email, maps, accuweather, antivirus) and associated services
- my home wifi swithches off during the night (but ayway was on few hours, and no reboot)
My transformer is not rooted, and I donot understand why it should reboot...
I' m now thinking the culprit could be a game (it always happened after my children played with some games). I have now to check whether I am right and which is the game causing the problem (is it the game, the graphic driver, or the hw?)
Of course, I'll keep this post updated.
culprit found
Finally I found the culprit: it is the hardwood games extracted from a Toshiba device ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1204691).
Games work with no trouble, but if left open putting the transformer in stand-by time to time makes the os crashing... (no problems if quitting/killing the application).
Just removed from main screen and no longer accessed, and transformer stopped with random reboots.
So I just got the TF300 and the first thing I dd was install the JB update and been noticing that is very laggy and slow. But that was quickly resolved by a factory reset and when wiping dilvik/cache (at least i hope) and now seems to response much better.
The issue now i have is whenever i use utorrent the tablet becomes unusable and the fix for that was to use a SD Card which also worked and everything was working the way it should, it was very responsive and the torrent was downloading quickly, but as soon as the screen timed out it would not wake up again or sometimes took forever.
sometimes the screen came back after 3 minutes and other times it required a reboot, this is an issue only when utorrent is downloading a torrent and does not happen if its just open. I have not seen this happen randomly like others have experienced just only with utorrent downloading.
Any inputs or suggestions?
Have you guys tried with a different torrent app?
you could try is this new-5-star app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...xLDEsImNvbS5BbmRyb2lkQS5Ecm9pRG93bmxvYWRlciJd
try it to see if the problem persists
and can you answer my question, please: you just got your tf300, so after you turn it on the first time, what firmware version was it? did you have to update to ICS .30 and then update to JB or did you just update straight to JB? in other words, how many updates did you do to get JB? 1 or 2?
i'm asking because last time with my returned tf300 i had to do to updates (from .26 out of the box to .30, then JB), i got my replacement today but haven't turned on yet (i'm leaving it charging 8 hours as the manual suggests), i'm not sure what firmware will it update to when i turn it on, since i don't want jelly bean this is what i really need to care about

Do you have a fast internet connection? The problem you had with the slowness while downloading to the internal memory is because of bad I/O performance from ASUS, writing and reading on to and from to the internal memory kinda sucks compare to other devices. So directing your downloads to your external sd card was a good idea .
+1 for Adownloader, I have always used that app for torrents, hasn't failed me so far.
Yeah i heard about Adownloader but been a fan of utorrent for as long as i can remember and it works flawless on my S3, but will try aDownloader.
@nooktablet
It was ICS and just had one update to get it too JB.
aDownloader is the same
Do you have keep wifi on during sleep? It is posible that this is causing the sleep of death somehow, apps running on the background. My NookColor used to have a lot of sleep of deaths before I turned the wifi off after each use. But if you turn it off it will defeat the purpose of downloading torrents while screen is off. As far as you can tell it only happens when you are downloading torrents? Also check on settings "ASUS customize setting" and make sure that "Disconnect network during sleep" is not ticked. Another thing you can try is setting up screen saver with a completely black image, so it will use the least battery possible.
Anyways I never use automatic screen timeout I have it on never so I really haven't experienced this problem. If nothing else works, my suggestion is don't let the screen timeout while downloading torrents. Also try reporting the error to ASUS so they added to the list of future fixes.
downloading torrents make your tablet slow even with fast internet.
Just deal with it... or download them from your computer and xfer them over to your tablet.

Under the Asus Custom settings that was already off, but I changed the wifi sleep policy to always on yesterday so you maybe on to something. I will have to test when oi get a chance.
