[Q] Nexus s queries before buying please help - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi there
currently i have htc mytouch 4g and was planning to change my htc mytouch 4g
i was planning for taking nexus s is this recommended upgrade ???
is nexus s 4g available on gsm career???
what are the main cons of nexus s ???
please help me to decide i have shortlisted 2 phones htc sensation and samsung nexus s

I have never owned a sensation/mytouch but have made the following observations on the Nexus S.
Pros: unlockable boot loader, massive number of quality custom ROMs, quick OTA updates, quality hardware
Cons: None yet

Don't get the nexus s if your contract is 24 months, in two years this phone will be outdated a lot

No the 4G version is only for Sprint. No GSM carriers. I would wait for the Galaxy Nexus to come to the US as a GSM.

Desire S On Tmobile USA?

Does anybody use this phone on Tmobile USA? I am looking to upgrade from my vibrant and get a HTC phone. Was thinking nexus one but I kind of like the looks of this phone better. Not really interested in the 4.3 Inch screen of the Sensation 4G.

Nexus S 4g vs Nexus S

I have the opportunity to get a Nexus S 4G for cheap. I have wanted to try one, but I had and Epic 4G and Samsung was horrible with rolling out updates. I'm not sure if I want to go the Samsung route again.
My question is is the Nexus S 4G updated at the same time as the Nexus S on other carriers or would I have to wait for Samsung to release just for the 4G? I don't want to rely on Samsung for updates.

Yes... it's still a pure google phone, not a samsung touchwiz phone. it just has a different radio. in fact, as of right now the nexus s 4g has google wallet while the nexus s doesn't.
Google does the updates not Samsung.

[Q] Considering Purchasing Nexus S

Hello I am considering purchasing a Nexus S to take advantage of google wallet and NFC. I have a few questions before I buy, any helpful info would be appreciated!
1.I'm going to be getting a sprint branded nexus s and flashing to boost mobile. Will the nfc and google wallet features still work ok?
2.Do both 3G and 4G nexus s support these features?

1. Not sure but nexus phones are unbranded so as long as the frequencies are the same your fine
2. Only the nexus s 4G has Google wallet officially(think you need to be in us as well)

im with sprint and i had the htc evo 4g for a long time then had sprint switch it for a nexus s 4g and i have never been happier. im running ICS as a daily *STABLE* driver with g-wallet! the nexus s will still continue to get google updates before any other phone for a while longer. so im sure youll love the phone!

Opinions on my next sprint phone

So I have been flashing roms since the days of my tmo dash and now I have a sprint nexus s. I have had my upgrade for a while now and am holding out for quadcore snapdragon. Supposedly it will debut with the LG Eclipse in October (along with LTE finally in NYC)
My question is should I jump at the LG or wait for HTC or Samsung to release their beasts? I'd be highly upset if there is little to so support for my next choice as I have been lucky with my touch pro, evo, and nexus.
Btw, my current gripes with choices now are:
EVO LTE- no removable battery and SD slot limit to 32 gb and stuck with only 3g
S3- no shutter button, lense not as good as evo, not a fan of touchwiz, cheap overall feel, stuck with 3g
Thanks for reading and please opinions. If this is posted in the wrong section my apologies.

[Q] T-Mobile one s or factory unlocked 64gb one s?

I had a T-Mobile G2 from launch and just about killed it. I had to get a phone out of necessity and got the Samsung Galaxy nexus as a temporary replacement.
I really do not like this phone lol. I miss sense and was holding out in hopes of T-Mo getting the HTC one x+ but that didn't happen.
So I pose the question of should I get the T-Mobile one s or get an unlocked one from expansys or just wait it out. I live in an area that was refarmed to 1900mhz so I could get the one x+ or even a droid DNA if I manage to get an unlocked one.
But with those last two choices I'd have to be able to live with 3g instead of HSDPA.
I think I could probably get a free upgrade since I bought this phone unlocked from Google but I can't make up my mind. I also can't stand aosp anymore though. I really want sense lol.
Thanks in advance.
