[Boot Animation] Android Particle Ring (GB GREEN, Honeycomb BLUE, CM CYAN, Droid RED)

EDIT 9/28: Sorry for the delay restoring the animated GIF previews, I had a real scare I won't go into the details of. If you feel this was useful please to you please sign up with my Dropbox link and get more space for both of us!
I got this animation from Dysgenic's The Droids thread, so huge thanks to him for making it. His version was 480x800 which made it very choppy at bootup for a few seconds before it would get to full speed.
Compared to the smooth CM7 boot animation, I was dissatisfied with the choppyness of this one, so I went about figuring out how to make it smoother. These are the changes I made:
- Crop 480x800 to 416x416 (that's the only space it was using)
- Resize to 256x256 (required to make it smoother, but stretch to 480x480 to fill the screen)
- Save as PNG (higher quality)
- Change fps from 30 to 24 (minimize initial transition between choppy/smooth)

It's SMOOTH as butter and fills the screen unlike the original.
As usual, use Root Explorer to copy the ZIP to:
- system/media on CM ROMs
- /system/customize/resource on Sense ROMs (if you don't know what you have, it's probably Sense)
(rename to bootanimation.zip if downloading the cyan or blue version)

I'll try to do this tonight but if I don't get a chance then tomorrow for sure.

Attached is the original high res version if anyone wants it. It looks a little crisper but it's choppy for the first 3-4 seconds. My goal was to make it smoother.
I'd love to give credit to the original author of this but can't find it for the life of me. I looked through the collections thread in this forum and it's not there, so if anyone knows please let me know and I will add it.

That should be no problem, you can just edit the desc.txt in the ZIP to say:
320 320 30
p 1 0 part0
p 0 0 part1
And then copy/flash. Let me know if you want me to do it.

EDIT: just applied the bootanimation.zip via root explorer and gave it the same perms as the original zip and still nothing has changed when i boot.
EDIT2: ok i forgot that i actually needed to drop the zip into /system/customize/resource
LOOKS PHENOMENAL! i think i'll have to find a cool sound to go with it.

The color does look a bit gaudy, maybe it will look better on the phone

nice one for girls.i would like to see this theme in neon green if that is possible.

After 38mb of download not able to install it says "bad" on recovery mode, anyway nice try.
Advise: Next time just upload flashable .Zip file.

I have been looking for this all night. I found so many posts and so many bootanimations that just didn't work. Thank you. I might try your modded version. Your previous post with a download link to the original animation didn't work for me, either. This one does and fits my Nexus 5 display, which is exactly what I wanted. Thank you!

It should work fine as far as I know. It doesn't matter what ROM - you just replace the bootanimation in /system/media with permissions rw-r--r--

i installed now with recovery-mode (also tried with X-Blast-Tools), but the images are too small
it looks like they are shrinked. the animation and the "Xperia" screen before animation are looking like they are centered at middle of screen with big black frame around
im running rootet stock .757 rom (Sony Xperia Z1)

The Z1 is 1080p (1920x1080), correct? I use this on my Nexus 5 (also 1080p) and it fits perfectly. Just download the file he linked to in his post here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=48528841&postcount=9 and copy it to /system/media and change permissions to rw-r--r-- and it should fit perfectly. It should work fine with the Z1 because that's where it's taken from originally.

what i found out was the in order for the 1080x1920 resolution to play the JB bootanimation correctly, the dimension of the jpg has to be size to
540 x 960, else it will become empty screen or in smaller screen.

I recommend to make boot animation with ScreenToGif, this is a too for editing frame by frame a video and after you have just to click on "Save As" and choose "Frame". After in the folder, use Windows PowerShell for delete the "0_1" in the file name with this command :

Hi, for add the boot sound with the bootanimation, you have to place the bootaudio.mp3 in /system/media/ with the bootanimation.zip :good:

First you need a rooted file explorer (i recommended you to install the APK of ES explorer Pro). Next go to /system/media and copy the bootanimation.zip in to your sd card in case if you want to restore the real bootanimation of your Xiaomi. Next go to the place where you have downloaded the bootanimation.zip and copy-it to /system/media and go to the properties of the file and permissions and choose like that : https://www.gizmobolt.com/wp-conten...-bootanimation.zip-file-in-android-device.png
AND I HAVE EDIT THE FLASHABLE_SPLASH !!! download it again here : https://mega.nz/#F!EBoFEYCS!EzSUnBiM3Y_CL2VzGmCACQ

Hi ! To just add sounds to the boot you just need to place in the part0 folder your sounds as a .WAV file named exactly "audio.wav"so that he play it at boot ! There isn't an option to do that because it's just in the boot animation directly.
