[Q] Camera, Camera, Camera!!! - HTC Sensation

Do i need it? YES
Does it work? NO (well sometimes)
Why? DUNNO
Roms, Kernals, Radios, Re flash, You name it. Done it!
Why does it work sometimes?
Could it have somthing to do with SD card?
Someone give us a clue!!

Definitely try a different SD Card - mine works without issues.

Respect, however you figured out any understandable question from phux acheĀ“s Post!

Just tried SD card from my old HTC Desire, no change.

SDcard or bad Rom flash.. if you're 100% sure its not one of those its probably a hardware problem.

[Q] evo broken?? please help

did what all my friends told me to do, who have the evo apparently a bad mistake. used unrevoked to root my evo, worked perfect. stoked!! downloaded titanium backup, backed up everything, worked great. still happy. went to install a rom (i guess) it told me i needed to change my kernel and had a link to the market for a kernel downloader. downloaded the app looked through bout five different kernels, all had good reviews and stable... downloaded the one with the most downloads (6700 or something). asked download? i said yes. asked flask now? i said yes. it said flash complete reboot coming... rebooted got to the HTC EVO 4G white screen sat there for bout 15 seconds and shut off tried to reboot again same thing. bout ten times in a row so i pulled the battery. did a hard reset didnt fix, did a wipe, didnt fix....
anyone know what i can do please help.. thank you
You need to match the right kernel for the ROM your using, you can download and put it on your SD card boot into bootloader should be good to go. Worst case reflash ROM.

Go into bootloader (power off, then back on while holding volume down) Go into recovery, choose install from zip, then find the ROM on your SD card and flash.
You did backup right ?

I think he was asking if you made a Nandroid back ( a complete backup of you ROM) If not you need to place a ROM on your SD card and flash it via recovery (see my earlier post)

He most likely has the rom in the root kit. I flashed virus sence 3.0 on my wifes evo this mourning. Nice stuff.

Find a ROM in the EVO section here at XDA ( Your in the EVO Shift forum) http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=653
Not sure what to tell you about getting your pc to recognize your SD card but that would make the process a lot easier

Dont hook it to the pc. When the phone is off (hold volume down then hold the power button) it will boot into bootloader, volume down to recovery, hit power to select.

After flashing trinity, computer won't detect SD card

Title basically explains it all, it says the USB device has failed and won't show it at all under my computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Did you install the lg drivers? For some reason you have to use same usb port each and every time. Have you tried a different computer if possible?

Is it Trinity CM9? If so, this is a known problem and is being worked on.
Checking the thread before posting would've helped a lot.

Nope, it's CM7.
I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling LG Drivers, and that didn't work either. I tried another PC as well, and it also failed to recognize the device.
Not sure if this means anything but when I go into CWM on my phone, I can't choose any of the options, it just goes to the icon and does nothing until I battery pull.
Is there any way I can format the SD while it's in my phone, or will that screw things up, like my ROM, ect.
You can reformat the sd card while on cwm but it's gonna clear ur sd. It's gonna erase everything on it. Your rom will be fine

Alright, I'll try that, I don't have anything on it besides music and my zip files. I put the micro SD in a regular SD adapter and it works fine on my PC, it's something about when the card is in my actual phone.

[Q] Hmmm, I think I need help :)

Is there any reason why my infuse would just stop reading my sim card? Everything was working fine until I used odin to flash back to stock. Everything is back to stock, but now it won't read sim card. I have tried to flash several roms/kernels/etc and they all show the same problem now. I can't change APN settings because it says no sim card. Any one else had this experience and know a fix they'd like to share? I almost think it's not software related anymore, but I wasn't sure so it couldn't hurt to ask. Thanks in advance for any help
Edit: have also reflashed using odin, and same thing happens. Also used different stock tar files and still same result.
Sounds like you mite of damaged the slot for the card

tried multiple sims, and it won't work on the infuse. Sim works fine on the gs2. I didn't see anyone else with this problem in the forums... so it looks like the sim slot just went bad?
Yes you would probably have to send it in because the prongs on the sim card tray are messed up or.... you can replace it yourself

Does it say there is no Sim card in the phone if not that flash a different modem if it does then you need the Sim card slot replaced

Missing SIM card
If you can get into your phone try reflashing the kernel that came with the ROM. Mismatched kernels can cause strange problems.

got the same problem once. the only thing you have to do is flashing a stock recovery, then a custom one again. it should work i think
edit: ups, when i had this issue i wasnt even able to start my phone, i dont know if it helps anyway

Thanks guys....to bad my work shift is to long 12hrs... I have to wait till I get home tonight and give this a try. Btw, my boots and all but no sd card access at all. It happened after I flashed a different kernel, but it was giving me reboots so I went back to stock, then I flashed a different kernel again many reboots...went back to the default kernel that came with my rom again, try to access my pictures, then files and I could not. I guess it was time for this to happen after so many things that I have flash... Thanks again guys.

find a card reader and plug it to PC, format it to NTFS then format to fat32.
I had similar issue and that fixed it.
I also had similar issue + random turn off
I send device to HTC they replaced motherhood and solved all problem
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio
I guess its a normal 'XE' phenomenon... HTC where too busy to make a mainstream pokemon 'beats' phone that they f*cked up something in there(Basicly its 1:1 copy of original sensation just stock CPU is set to 1.5GHz and on the cover there are 'beats' logo and of course some interface changes so ppl would feel the ''new'' phone and BAM! costing 100$ more) .... My friend who also had XE faced this problem 2 times! First time he gave it for warraty and needed to wait about one month... Then it was all good but after few months again something went wrong and the same... again he gave it for warratny and waited his phone 3weeks... <- He was fed up with this as soon as he got it from warranty he sold it and buyed normal standart sensation and ever since he has no problems at all!

Hi to everyone here...I'm new here in xda but I followed a lot the whole forum for a long time... BTW regarding your issue the time being I had the same problem. I've managed to solve it by using 4ext recovery. I reparted the sd card from there and never had again the same problem.
P.S before using 4ext I tried a couple of times formatting through windows and an external card reader and was enough for a couple of times than had the same.
However if a microsd is damage no way to fix it by any available software.
Anyway save your content before formatting it. It's possible from 4ext recovery.
Hope it will help,
Cheers
