Also found this, its says not available for my phone but I am sure I can devise a way to get it, modding my build.prop again

Im not so sure its the model, anytime I open the page in market, it says not available in your country. I fiddled around with market enabler but no luck. The sega website says android launch is on the 14th. I am trying to use that chrome extension to snag it from the site itself but the dev quit supporting paid apps which sucks because it would have been the perfect way to buy them.

Yeh it says same for me, 5 people have managed to download it going by the play market :-D looks good was this game from genesis??

Sega Dreamcast 1999-2001 (awesome system)
Nintendo Gamecube (2001-2006, not so good, monkey Ball was good)

Wow, this is really frustrating.
I have identified the carrier and model sega listed as compatible in market.
You need the build.prop fingerprint from a Acer Liquid E, and you need to use market enabler to fake Rogers in Canada.
With those 2 things done, I can search for and open Super Monkey Ball in my market, but it still wont let me buy it, I get an error when I try to. Damn.
This is the Acer Liquid E fingerprint I used "acer/a1_fet/a1/salsa:2.2/MASTER/1290497606:user/release-keys" I also changed the model name and such. Make a backup!!

I cannot wait for this to come out.

Minicraft - Xperia Play optimized

Hello all.
In market we can find Minicraft - Notch game made for contest (only 48h to make a game). Works great on Xperia Play - D-pad and X and Circle. I still don't know how to make save - but game is easy.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.mojang.ld22#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDUwMSwiY29tLm1vamFuZy5sZDIyIl0.
Enjoy.
Thanks for the old news!
This is actually kinda fun for how simple it is.
Not sure why or how, but it makes me think of Survival Kids on the GBC.

You sure?
/me thinks you might have read minecraft instead of minicraft.
The minicraft Android port project only begun around Christmas time.
Thanks OP, seems like a bit of fun. Defo needs save games implemented though.
Quite a good time once you get the hang of it. I agree on the save part (of course what's the point of saving when you have one laugh). I think I heard somewhere that Minicraft 2 is being developed.
I thought it was Minecraft too..
I'm curious what kind of game is this, since it's free, I'l give it a try..
Now i know how to make save. But there are a problems when You load - just check it for yourself. To make save You must first - tap a screen then press the menu button - now You get menu with saves, cheat and quit options.
Yes it will be Minicract 2. And Notch know that Minicraft was unofficial release on anxroid but he dont get angry just said "it's a free game"

NeoDroid now aviable on market

Hey guys, there's a new Neogeo emulator on Market call NeoDroid. I've try and he runs very great, more than Tiger Arcade. Also since the last update he support now savestates.
Sent from my R800i using XDA App
NeoDroid really kick ass, best neogeo emulator I used on my xperia play. Compatibility and speed are fantastic on the emulator.
Dev thread here:

Best donation money I spent for a long while.
does it run mame games ?!
Is it Xperia Play optimized?

It runs the MAME version of the NeoGeo games yes, but not other MAME games, like CPS1/2 and others. Just the NeoGeo.

Not as is. You need to configure the hardware buttons, like SNESoid and others. And it does not shows up on the Xperia Play App when you slide down the controller. But after configuring it works like a charm, really excellent piece of software!
It also does not support the touchpads.
Yes works as charm but lots of game doesn't work - like Samurai Showdown 4 & 5, The Last Blade 1 & 2, SNK vs Capcom. None of other game work in Home mode well - lots of graphical glitches and artifacts... Not worth this money! Tiger Arcade mame or jroni arcade are far better!

Must disagree. Samurai Shodown IV and Last Blade 1/2 works perfect on my xperia play. Samurai Shodown V really doesn't work.
This app is new and the dev is working to fix the bugs, like the home system option, which also bugs me like hell.
But as is, it already run the games I play (KoF 97/98, Last Blade 1/2, Metal Slug X) at a far better speed than Tiger Arcade 3.0.5.
I donated and said it was the best donation money so far because the emulator have a shot life and already performs better.
Never tried jroni arcade, but I gave up on tiger after having performance issues with D&D Shadow over Mystara (and the others I mentioned).
How to access modes?
Hi
Can anyone tell me how to access training mode in The Last Blade? I really need to train otherwise I can't get past the 3rd stage, lol.
Do special moves work for you? I only got one chain attack to work : A,B,C (knock down) and didn't manage to get one special move to work.
Please help!!

FPse - new Xperia PLAY specific version soon? Check it out.

As you may know, there is no touchpad support on FPse unless we are on ICS. So I e-mailed to Schtruck and asked about porting it to GB:
"Hello. Could you make an update with support for Xperia PLAY touchpad but for GingerBread? Xperia PLAY officially won't get ICS at all so touchpad support on GB would be great!"
This is what I received:
"this update would mean a specific version for Xperia Play on GB. huge work because the Java part is big regarding all option for FPse. i can study a port."
I don't really understand this reply... What do you think? New update = new specific app exclusive to Xperia PLAY?

His reply implies that he'll look into it and assess the time/practicality ratio.
He's at least considering it so I suppose that's good news
The way I read it:
"What you're asking me to do is to write a version of FPse specifically for the Xperia PLAY on Android 2.3...

(My background understanding to Android programming: The Xperia PLAY's dual touchpads requires coding in C/C++ via Android NDK, and when using it, the normal Android programming libraries, which is in JAVA, cannot be used.)
"... This will be a lot of work because FPse was written in JAVA and also relied heavily on the Android programming libraries; to support the touchpads will require NDK, which in turn messes up many other functions that depends on the Android programming libraries.
I can review the FPse project to see if it's really that bad, and see if there are work-arounds."

... but all that work for a few hundred Xperia PLAY sales? I think very unlikely.
Well remember the awesome paulscode released a n64 emu with touch pad support. So this could be possible.
Sent from my R800i using xda premium
it would be quite hard i think, because it is so much easier that ics has built in drivers for mouse/pointing devices like our touchpads, he would probably need to do reverse engineering or somthing like that for gingerbread
I'll pay £5.99 for a touch pads version. Someone suggest to him he starts a Kickstarter for the project. Would love to have FPS and Ape Escape etc
Sent from my R800i using XDA
Mupen 64 (paulscode n64 emu) is open source, so he can "steal" the touchpad implementation from there.
And if Paul can do it on a free app I'm sure schtruck can do it for a paid one
Though with the newest update coming any moment now that brings shortcuts with individual settings I can forgive the lacking touchpad support
Has someone told him he can just take it from Mupen? :-O :-D

Ok here goes I emailed fpse this
" Hi As a gamer with xperia play and as fpse is my most used app I follow the support of xperia play analogs very closely. I read an email you sent to an xda member saying you would look into it. I understand why it's easier to implement on ics.
I would like to point you towards mupen64 by Paul lamb a N64 emulator famous for using the analog, I would also like to point out how accurate it emulates the N64 stick. With mupen64 ae being open source then the coding is all done and I assume leaves very little work.
An xperia play version would be very popular as owner are almost guaranteed to buy your app.
Kindest wishes Dave

I have just received this reply.
" hello Dave,
i saw what Paul did, very good job.
i'll try to make near same thing to implement AnalogPAD on Xperia Play with android 2.3.
Best regards.
Schtruck"
I don't know about anyone else but this is the most straightforward answer I have heard on implementation of this crucial feature :-D

I use fpse on ICS(KA13) & it works good. I know touchpads are not working anywhere on ICS in regular games, but then again I also have N64oid & touchpads are working within that emulator. I wonder if FPSE could also have it working in ICS?

The original topic about PPSSPP emulator
:fingers-crossed: wooohoooo
I sold my PSP few months back and today, I was planning to delete all my iso/cso, but before hitting delete, I juz searched on google that is there any emulator for android and Bingo!
Now I ll preserve all my PSP games
God OF War on My Note 2.... :fingers-crossed: Ecstasy
Seems to me that a possible psp emulator is that exciting. Even though it will never work on the play.
Is it possible to make the original thread a sticky?
Hows the keypad support?
Needs a lot of work but good start, God speed sir
January 4, 2012: PPSSPP 0.5: A small step for mankind, a huge step for PPSSPP!
i've been following the website since it started and after months of waiting finally 3D games are playable
looks like in a few months more we'll have a greater list of coole psp games
Incredible!
If lumines works perfect, I will pay for this emulator, I dont expect that Xperia Play will run all psp games (I dont need that because I prefer PSX games), but Lumines, maybe all Loco Roco games will be great news!

I have homebrew
I only have a homebrew game, a beatmania emulator called jzbmsplayer. Does it work on my HTC EVO 4G (supersonic)? I mean there is no 3D elements but still does it run pretty good or it's slow? I am willing to use my BT keyboard as a controller for IIDX.
EDIT: Runs good with my 1.5Ghz Dual-Core Zeki Tablet running beaterator. Now I can make remixes lol.
NOTE: Min requirements are 1Ghz Single core (which HTC EVO 4G has)
I have the latest version but I can't play crash tag team racing or midnight club3 so sad

Problem with jellybean roms not using Sony framework, so touchpad and buttons don't always work correctly.

I'm on ICS and can't download it.
For those who can't download it I would still download it on a different phone just so you won't have to pay if they put a price on it again. Even if you don't want it on that phone just delete it.
I downloaded in my Tablet meanwhile wait to be able to install in Play
I swear they have something against Sony devices because it`s not compatible with my Sony Xperia Tablet Z neither.
What bugs me the most though is that it does work, there are alternate downloads around and they work great, but I want the official one that I paid for.

It's strange as I was able to download on my Z but the Play is still a no go. I currently play it on my S7300 which is spoofed as an SGS2.
The most curious thing is that the game has a controller support right for our Xplays, but in Play Store isn't compatible. There must be someone in Gameloft, who has no brain...

It is because how gameloft make games. To be compatible with lot of different phones they implement code for controls from previous games in early stage of development, but when make final product, they decide not be compatible with specific device because of hardware requirements.
They could make game downloadable from play store, but then they risk lot of 1 star comments like "zomg, game is soooooo laggy in my Xperia Play"

I tried all variants of R800 about 3-4 weeks ago just to gamble with my $0.99 but not single one worked. I used Xperia X10 instead and it allowed me to download it, only to be disappointed with its bad frame rates but wowed by its lighting effects and car physics.

Even if it were compatible on the play store, the game is unplayable because of lag. Tested on gin2kk, lupus v12, 1.6ghz.
