I haven't seen a discussion about this but I can't receive pictures of any size through my mms. Is there a fix that someone can help me out with?

Use gitril app to make sure you radio interface layer matches your rom and baseband
some people seem to be having issues with cm9 sms/mms I don't have any sent and got some today already. Don't know what the issues are though.
For me, I can only send/receive mms on data only. Try sending/receiving with wifi off

haha was just going to say this. I believe that has been mentioned as a known bug - MMS doesn't work on WiFi at the moment.
Between that and the WiFi-calling issues I had to switch back to EB 2.3.7 for now.

Noo,why does need this? If my provider does not suport my dwvice there is asolution?

I have been having problems with my mms since I first received my Nexus. MMS take 3 days to send and downloading mms gets stuck at downloading and never opens. I did some research and from what I understand it has something to do with your APN settings, try searching for the correct APN settings for your area and provider. APN settings can be found in ---> SETTINGS>WIRELESS&NETWORKS>MOBILE NETWORKS>
ACCESS POINT NAMES
** I have yet to fix my MMS issues, if you find something I would love to know

Yea, I don't know if re-flashing the ROM would be of any use. Some people argue that MMS only work if you have a data plan with your provider, but I've read otherwise as well. I've also heard of Nexus users getting more up-to-date sim cards and that fixed their issues, maybe worth a try? You might want to give your provider a call and ask them for the correct APN settings or at least explain your problem to them and see if they offer any assistance.
Anyone else having issues sending and receiving SMS and MMS with the KK4 modem? Caught my attention when I couldn't send txt over 160 char. I went back to KK3 and started receiving MMS that I was told were sent the day before.

I did check the apn after going to back to KK3... some how it had gotten changed. Now MMS come through correctly with KK4. I just set handcent to auto split the txts to fix the other issue.
Thanks for your work on these. I am curious do you know if media hub is working properly in these leaked roms?
As far as I know it is....I don't use media hub

Sorry about the late response. Had a busy day with Marine crap. It's not buggy at all for me, but of course results may differ. But I think you should be good man. Everything's worked good for me so far on the UCKK4 leak except the modem of course due to the text thing.
Did anyone found a fix yet for the problem that can't send messeges when coneccted t
o 4g?
Sure haven't. I just use CM7 now since it has the 2/4g toggle in notification... I just deal with it now, until a new baseband is out for us, I don't think it will be fixed.
What type of messages? I email, text and mms all day. I've only had 1 time where a picture failed to send and I restart solved that.

It used to work well but because of some incident, though not confirmed yet, there is us in that group that can't send mms when 4g in on. As if sms wont trigger the 2g/gsm switch for it to be able the sms to be send.

There is a setting in the LG hidden menu that could fix it, but LG has not implemented it. Under modem settings there is a CS/PS preference (Carrier Signal/Packet Switched). You want that set to CS. Almost no carrier in the world has implemented PS sending for sms. When you select CS you get a toast message that says not implemented yet. If LG had implemented that setting to the baseband it would fix this problem. It appears the issue is that automatic CS fallback has been turned off. When on on 2G or wifi, sms message are sent by CS by default. On 3G and 4G, for some stupid reason, Android tries to send them first on PS, then when it cannot be sent that way, the modem is supposed to auto-fallback to CS and send the sms. For some reason instead of performing the fallback the modem is just throwing up a general error and giving up. If anyone can figure out how to issue a command to the modem and turn auto-fallback back on I think it would fix this issue.
I don't have such problem (sending text) when the phone displays "H" (I use Eagleblood AOSP ROM because I don't like 2G/4G).

If only we can have a kdz for the march baseband, maybe it will revert the settings to a working state.

Everything I have ever read about updating basbands was to NOT REVERT to old basebands will brick them that's on old HTC things I have no clue on anything else though. Those were also flashable through bootloader so idk.

Has anyone tried using the KDZ method to do an emergency restore of the Gingerbread firmware and baseband? That seems like it could fix the issue if during the process it resets all the baseband settings.

Is not mms is sms only, only it happends when is connected to 4g network, when i am in 2g netwkrk, uma wifi calling or data disable it works fine. Is like the phone forgot the command to switch to 2g network to send sms message and then switch back to 4g. One doesnt see this switch because it happends in seconds
Well I still have the problem. My carrier cannot help me they have tried everything at this point they are asking me to return the phone.
I really wish this was fixed!

Hi, like the title says is there a way to send picture text messages and receive them on cyanogenmod? because of this issue i have been using miui
I never had this problem but try GoSMS
You need to set your settings right in apn. I send/receive fine.

Also remember you have to have back ground data turned on for it to work
Mobil's data must be on to send and receive picture text. Wont work with wi-fi only for some reason texting need mobile data to send pics.
Absolution also way better version of CM7 is my opinion. But to each their own flavor.

Its because mms use 1kb of data to send the info. Still. Not sure why CM roms don't work like OEM based when disabling data but forces it back on for MMS. Just always been that way.
Ok i am on the ICS leak and my carrier is Straight Talk. I know there are a few other ST users here. What apn setting are working for You.
The settings i was using on GB are not working completely on ICS. I cant send or receive mms messages.
Also i cant get Wifi tethering to work when i enable it i get a message "Data Link Lost"
Anyone have any luck deleting the AT&T apn's???

Hi!
I'm also using a different carrier and the only solution I found was editing the database by hand..
I created a post with the proceeding few days ago: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1782492
Just rebember to take care on what you change in databases so you don't soft brick your device!
This change that is described in the post I tested on my device and worked fine..
Good luck!
Cheers,
Luis
