How do i go completely stock?

I have a US T-Mobile Sensation that I need to get it back to stock. It's running 4.0.3 which i flashed the different firmware for to make 4.0.3 work. Can someone point me to the right direction? I'm completely new to HTC phones, I'm used to using Odin for Samsung. What program would I need to flash stock back onto the device? Thanks.

ItKs my friends phone and ever Rom I put on he has issues with. I can't blame the roms but I think the phone is defected. His phone just restarts often while he's using the phone but it's a leak so it won't be perfect. I've been flashing roms since I had a Samsung Moment and I've had perfect roms and roms with issues but I always find a perfect won. If I owned the phone I'm sure I could easily find a stable rom. I would like to keep it S-OFF but with a stock rom, I wish I owned an HTC phone so these Ruu's and things made sense to me.

My htc sensation (T-mobile US)is completely dead and i'm unable to enter in to boot also please help.
actually i tried to unlock my phone in that process i have rooted it and installed Android HD rom even though it didn't unlocked then i though to unroot and reset it to factory stock in this process i have tried this steps mentioned in this h-t-t-p-:-//theunlockr.com/2011/10/03/how-to-unroot-the-htc-sensation-4g/
after finishing this process my sensation stopped working...now i'm unable to switch it on or unable to go to boot also.please help

I noticed u have a different method of unrooting compared to vipers method, so u mean we flash the ruu while connected to pc while in htc sync mode? Not in recovery mode? Can u explain how? Pardon me cuz Im a noob here, thanks

I'm unable to enter in to the boot menu by pressing power and volume buttom...
when i connect it to my pc in device manager "qhsusb_dload"..

If I go back to stock, I would need to s-off again correct, or is it necessary? Basically I want to go stock but I'm not sure if u keep s-off or is automatically updated when u go to stock..
Also, which is the correct driver I used for to go stock tmous.??

Downloaded the appropriate RUU - installed it, an it's up running again.
What if I would like to go for the customs again?
I'm S-OFF and SuperCID 11111111. When I try to get in Recovery mode - I get a HTC image (looks like a phone and a red cross)!
It's not possible to get in to the EXT menu where I'm used to press "Install from .zip file".
I can se my HBOOT is 1.23.... any ideas?
I have tried the PG58IMG thingy - but after update the phone keeps rebooting. So I had to delete the PM58IMG file from the SD card in order to get into FASTBOOT recovery to flash the Stock RUU again!

Hi, today I bought a phone from someone that was already flashed, unlocked etc.. it has ICS installed. When I boot up the phone there were no status bar at the top and background was black..

Going to need a few more details. What ROM are you running? What version? What's the firmware version? You can find this information in the 'about phone' bit in the settings.
My first port of call if this was the case would probably to either repair permissions, or seeing as you've only just got your phone, reflash the ROM or flash another one. Quickest and easiest way, and all possible through Recovery.

Software version is the ROM that you are running, So in your case its InsertCoin 5.1.5
Download the ROM from the development section, And put it on your SD Card and flash it in recovery, Or do a factory reset and see if that helps.
to get into recovery you have to go through bootloader (unless you have advanced power menu)
If you dont know how to do this, Get to the general section and read the stickies.
You really ought to know what goes on in bootloader and recovery before you start selecting options and making matters worse

Choose a ROM you want to flash, I would suggest to stick with your current ROM to make this process easier for you.

Not working at me ARHD 6.5.4 XE no status bar i tried reflashing rom but didn't help Firmware from 3.32.401.x & 3.32.401.10x RUU superwipe every time for sure (but without same effect) i dont know what to do now

With the new ARHD 6.5.4 its been a common problem, just download LeeDriod tweaks and it fixes it.

I had the same problem. However a quick Google soon helped me. Apparently it's the .apk file. I used Winrar to replace the .apk did a superwipe, re-flashed the rom and it works a treat. Really top notch stable rom. Can't ask for more.

Bought the phone rooted but i tried to unroot it by myself so i can update the software & accidentally deleted the systemui.apk thing . now im having the exact same issue as the 1st person stated . i dont care if i have to restart my entire phone , i just need to know the easiest way to get this problem solved

[Q] Official ICS Not installing on Sensation XE

Hi,
I'm a bit nervous about posting this, as I know I've asked the question before in a different thread, however I feel it's being lost in the excitement of everyone updating to 4.0, and rightly so...
But I I need a bit of help.
Today, when ICS became available, I downloaded it; naturally, and it downloaded fine... however when it came to install it; I'm hitting a brick wall.
It displays the phone shutting down, and then boots into the installation screen; (the one with the black screen, phone and the green arrows; and the progress bar etc) however when the progress bar fills about a third of the way, a red question mark appears where the green arrows were and it boots back into gingerbread.
I've carried out a factory reset on the phone, but it hasn't made a difference.
It's absolutely frustrating the hell out of me; and I've trawled this and other forums, but haven't found a resolution.
I'm S-OFF, via revolution, and have stock recovery.
My CID is HTC__001 and HBOOT is 1.17.1111
I've added a screenshot of the SW info.
Is there any way I could get a bit of help with this please???

I would say its the Revolutionary S-OFF that won't works well with OTA updates.
So first remove the S-Off and then try again.

Tried removing the sd card... It needs it to install the update...
I thought it was down to the bootloader whether or not the ota worked.
Can anyone confirm this?

I flashed the original stock recovery; the HBOOT is 1.17.1111; I thought this was the original... is it not?

I Would recommend flashing your stock ruu first then update OTA ICs afterwards. In that way you'll have stock hboot, recovery and rom. Don't worry about your s-off. Flashing stock ruu won't turn it to s-on. You'll lose root though.

I'm not fully rooted, though; only S-OFF via revo. As far as I know, I'm on the stock RUU... ain't I? I appreciate your help loads!

I've just installed it with no problem whatsoever on my xe

After researching the bjaysus out of this; would I be right in saying that HBOOT 1.17.1111 (the one I have) is in fact, revolutions firmware, and 1.27.0000 is the stock version, and the reason why my update is ballsing up?? And if so, is there anyone able to help me change it back? I will buy pints for ya!

On my sensation XE that I have got onto s-off I haven't fully rooted it I don't think but its on s-off now and I have superuser access, I am living the the UK and ICS was recently released here so I downloaded it but as I went to install it It all went okay and 4EXT was saying it updated successfully but as my Phone rebooted it hung at the HTC bootscreen, I tried it twice just incase it was an error but it didnt work the second time either and each time it won't turn off so I have to take the battery out and restore it to a backup I previously made and was just wandering what I can do as I would like the ICS update.

I advise NOT to update it. It is a very bad effort by HTC as Wi-Fi does not work anyomre (at least in most of Middle East) I've talked to HTC support and they replied with the usual (We are making a fix for [problem here] as quick as possible) clause....... ****heads.

All you need to do is restarting into bootloader, enter recovery, choose option to choose a file from SD and from there, install manually. No need to S-On.

HTC DESIRE S stuck at HTC White screen after flash Plese help!

I just tried flashing miui 2.4.20 to an HTC DESIRE S.
1)Before doing so, I unlocked the bootloader using HTC Dev tool
2)Rooted using superclick tool
3)Installed CWM Recovery using fastboot
and then flashed the rom....it won't go any further than the white HTC screen on reboot even though it looks like the flash is successful. I tried reflashing several times with no luck can someone please help?
EDIT:Just realised that I had to flash the boot.img using fastboot...problem solved.
Is there a way to make the Desire S completely unlocked so that I can flash using cwm without the need of fastboot?

Yes. You need to downgrade your hboot, there are guides for this in the general section, you'll need to find a compatible ruu, get back to stock rom and then use revolutionary to S-Off

I have flashed many devices(Desire, Desire S, HD2, HD and One X) a hundred of times because I am a beta tester. So I know the ins and outs of flashing. But this time I need your help guys.
I have unlocked my Desire S (Hboot is 2.00.0002, S-ON, Radio 3822.10.50.24_M)
flashed TWRP recovery
flashed Viper Saga 2.1.3 JB
flashed boot.img
And the Rom booted and installed. All fine so far.
Now I want to install a different ROM.
Flashed the new PACman JB_2.2_v22 ROM, and boot.img. But this time I got stuck at white screen. So I tried CWM recovery and even 4EXT. Flashed Rom and its boot.img again. No luck. Stuck at white screen every time.
But now the weirdest. At the end I flashed TWRP recovery, Viper Rom and its boot.img again. And damn, I'm stuck at the white screen again.
Also weird is that I am not able to flash an official RUU after unlocking the bootloader again. When plugging in the device I can start the RUU installation proces. But during the sending firmware proces, the phone screen remains black with HTC on it for hours. So I had to remove the cable and boot the phone into bootloader again.
It looks like something is blocking these two processes.
Any ideas? I searched through XDA and on the internet. The only thing I can find to solve the white screen with green HTC is flashing boot.img. But that is not the issue.
The problem and sollution with the RUU installation, I haven't seen at all yet.
Hope somebody could point me in the right direction.

Yes I've locked my phone again before installing the RUU. Made no sense. I've tried 2 WWE RUUs both with the same issue.
What panel I have I really don't know. Viper is sense. Worked om first flash. But after flashing PACman, the boot issues started. Now even Viper is not booting anymore.
I check the thread you posted. Will try the kernels. See what is happening.
EDIT: flashing these kernels do not work, because I'm S-ON. Need boot.image.

As I wrote. I've tried all of them. Am now on 4EXT. But still facing same issues. White screen with green logo.

I'd start fresh, make sure your unlocked, check the drivers are installed correctly (are you on win 8, if so check post two of link in my sig) format all but sd in 4ext, flash rom (sense rom to start) flash kernel. Your obviously no noob but sometimes we miss the obvious. I'm around for a bit so report back

Hi tried to flash AOKP_saga_unofficial using goomanager twrp recovery downloaded then flashed Rom in goomanager but on reboot got white screen HTC logo stuck scenario any ideas what went wrong

Hi first time have done it thru goomanager I don't remember ticking or seeing option to flash boot image would it be safe to do so and be necessary thanks

Don't worry about it, 4ext is the best recovery for our device. There seems to be a few issues with the other two.

having a look round revolutionary Rom looks better prospect see you using it atlas this stock gb is running near perfect only trying to improve battery drain 18-20MA in sleep at mo revolutionary has under clock facility which is only way I can see but at what cost
This may I say is a really excellent thread filled by people like me not reading up enough before we tinker to our cost and thanks to you xda this is a casualty department for noobs

[Q] please help!

hi all,
i got my sensation a while ago and it was running arhd 4.x.x and now it became very laggy...
i wanted to try to install 6.6.4, so its already s-off and hboot is 1.27.1100 and 2gb sd card
so what i did was try to flash the new one normally but it didnt work(with or without beats should i install(sensation eu)) didnt boot just stuck in boot screen.....so i wanted to install new firmware first and it didnt work it said cid incorrect and im confused (i cant boot)
please explain in steps please dont link me(i tried many)

That one. You need to go there and download the 3.32 unlocked firmware that matches your carrier/cid. Kohr-Ah put together a great set of firmware images that lets you bypass super-cid. Find the 3.32 unlocked that works for you, download it, and put it on the SD card (not in any folders). For example, if I'm on T-Mobile USA, I'll scroll down to Page Two, T-Mobile, and select the 3.32 firmware.
Then, with the device powered off, volume down + power until you get to the bootloader. When it asks to update, follow through with it. Then, if you have a card reader, use it to delete the 3.32 unlocked firmware file from the SD card. If you don't, use a buddies android phone and a file manager like ES File Explorer. If you can't do that, take the SD card out, boot into the bootloader and select recovery. Then, put the SD card back in before it actually boots into the recovery. Now, you can wipe and install ARHD and it'll boot up just fine.
In the event that that still doesn't work. Make sure you download Superwipe from Mike's ARHD page. Run Superwipe from the recovery, then install the rom, then it'll 99.99% likely boot.

I am unsure how to help, the only think i know that may help is that i think the CID stands for cellular ID and it identifies your phone, so maybe you have flashed something that is giving the wrong device ID?

You're not too far off. The CID usually just identifies what carrier you're on, and most carriers have multiple CIDs. It's possible to change, but not accidently. It's a multi step process that's very specific and involves using Fastboot.
Sorry about grammer, posted from phone.

Follow all the steps detialed by member sshede and + one thing is to do super cid if ur phone is not so u'll be able to flash any rom u like even if it was stock or custom 3.6or sense 4 with the right firmware for sure

Hi,
In order to SuperCID go HERE ,and follow STEP 4.

Unfortunately, it seems you will need to super-cid in this case. It's not hard, just follow the steps in the link and follow them exactly.
The process only takes about 5 minutes start to finish.

Have some boals do super cid u can get back to ur original one later just read and keep the instructions like ur name

there is no rom to boot into

I understand but try here from step 4

Try to. Connect ur phone then see if it will recognize it even if it won't boot with adb devices command
then reboot to boot loader and complete till the end good luck

i tried that but it didnt recognize the phone
so im trying to install a ruu but its not connecting also
i mean how do i? i went into bootloader and it said check that ur phone is connected?!?!?!
i would really appreciate some help please

Do you have the latest drivers installed?
Use THIS TOOLKIT
At the top it gives you the ability to install the drivers.

i needed the drivers only!!
ok now for arhd i should just wipe then install
thanksss !!!!

Mike recommends Superwipe for ARHD, it's in the thread. Not sure what the real benefit is, but since he developed the rom, it might be wise to take him up on it.
