Why can't we move apps to eternal sd on Xoom ?
Because you don't need to. You have 28GB of storage space for apps and other files and I doubt you have more than 2GB of apps and need space for more.

I Have 10.75GB of apps. I'm a bit of an app hoarder.
Good thing you have 32gb internal storage then.

OK so I used to use an app on all my old androids that helped out by relocating sd card space as ram. Now my friend is bringing me a sk4g to root and such and I can't for the life of me remember what that app is. Any one remember what it is or know an app like it or am I going crazy in my old age....

Internal or external SD? If you mean the App2SD thing, no. You can keep data from apps that allow you specify on either. Things like backups, music, docs, photos.
Safestrap will only allow 3gb of memory to be allocated internally. General consensus is that there is no way to save apps or photos to the sd card instead of internally, resulting in a memory warning after a few days of use in a custom rom.

SD card works fine for me but what rom are you running?

All of them
I have batakang/CM 10.1/vitreous on various slots. I was planning on using Bata as a daily driver but it lasted less than a day after titanium backup restore of my app data which easily took up the 3gb limit. As far as I know there's no way to circumvent saving app data to internal storage.

The 3GB is for data, app storage. Your pictures should have no effect on the 3GB. I have well over 900 pics while on Fuzion and have no warnings whatsoever

The 3gb isn't being taken up by pictures. It's being taken up by apps and their data. That's the issue.

Try rom toolbox by jrummy. It will enable apps2sd, but it might be for rooted phones only.

I'm pretty sure that does not work on the Razr HD or the Razr Maxx HD.

Just moved some small apps to sd, like real calculator and imdb.
It works fine.

That's what I get for believing everything I read!
How did you move them? By uninstall/reinstall?
I don't get the 'move to sd card' option.

Worked for me, does this help anyone?

Doesn't work for need for speed mw. I'm guessing it will work on small apps or games that don't need additional files. Hopefully will save me a bit of space until I have an easy option for rooting.

I'll try it again but it moved all the data then when I launched it, I was being prompted to download all the data.

Didn't work for me either. Nfs wants to download again.

You will also have to start from scratch if you want to update the app in the market. Google only wants app content in the internal storage to avoid customer complaints due to swapping cards or using bad cards and wondering why the app vanished or does not work. It was also due to security. Not my words, but the Android team at their dev forums.
So I'm having an issue with my 64 g micro SD in my sprint note 2. I can add things to it just fine, but after an hour or so it corrupts songs to 2 seconds and says "sorry, this audio file not supported". If I out folders in it, it empties them. If an app tries to add its data to it, it almost completely wipes it clean. It's formatted to fat32. I've never had problems with my 32 g SD card. I'm not certain of the brand, it just says "hc" on it. Any suggestions?

Something else weird to "note" here would be that whenever I download music and put it on the SD card, it does the music jack up, but if I copy it over and zip the music and leave the zip on my internal memory, it doesn't mess up.

Most likely your 64gb is bad. Especially if the 32gb worked with out problems.

I thought so. I figure it was just because it might be incompatible.
