I just downloaded and installed
RUU_Pyramid_TMOUS_1.27.531.2_Radio_10.42.9007.00P_ 10.11.9007.15_M_release_192098_signed
After install I went into bootloader and it says I am S-on.
Do I need to go through all the steps again to receive S-off?
Hmm weird my cid is still the same 11111111 but it still says S-on.
Hmm might be an easy way to get S-on for tmobile users.
Hboot: 1.17.0008
Guess it does turn S-on just received ota update to 2.3.4

I did read but this means download this ruu for t-mobile peeps and you do not have to turn S-on to return phone and take the slim chance of bricking your phone.
Can someone please confirm.
Crap my hboot is now 1.18.0000 after update.
Do not update........

After the ota the hboot is 1.18.0000.
That's okay. Mine did same. Just go to the revolutionary site and following directions to get s_off.
Changing radio does not change s_on.

I ran the revolutionary utility to get S-OFF. According to my hboot screen, I now have S-OFF. Step 2 is to install recovery which is where I am stuck. When I plug my phone into my PC (phone in HTC Sync mode; not the hboot screen), I get "pyramid, with hboot 1.20 is not supported". Looking at my hboot screen, I see...
*** LOCKED ***
PYRAMID PVT SHIP S-OFF RL
HBOOT-1.20.0000
RADIO-10.11.9007.15_M
eMMC-boot

At this stage, should I just follow the HTCDev process to unlock the bootloader? Not sure where to proceed.
Any attempts to flash a recovery using PG58IMG on the SD Card immediately generates "incorrect model id" error. After reviewing this post, I tried the Android Flasher utility, but it gives a no permission error.
you should be able to go back down to 1.17 eng boot with IMG.zip file, you are still s-off so should pass through
I tried the ENG hboot posted on this thread. I loaded the zip file onto the root of my SD card. Boot phone into hboot. Device starts to read the file and then reports: "model ID incorrect!".
Here is a pic of my hboot screen: h t t p : / / img542.imageshack.us/img542/4936/imag0197n.jpg
Since my hboot currently reads LOCKED, do you think i should unlock it from HTCDev? Then, in theory, i should be able to flash different hboot/recovery.
Fixed!! I installed the latest RUU for my carrier from this thread. The RUU restored my device, radio, hboot [1.17.0008], & recovery back to it's original state [S-On]. Device is now back to the way it was when i opened the box.
After that, I was able to re-run Revolutionary and this time it worked. I now have S-OFF, correct hboot, and rooted stock ROM.
wow my device become like your S-OFF, LOCKED bootloader..
will do your method this evening
hi, im really new to this, I'm getting the sensation t-mobile version, would getting my phone on s-off be gsm unlocking my phone?

no this does not carrier unlock the phone, it unlocks security to the phone for deving purposes/or installing custom recoverys, and Rom builds,
there is way to carrier unlock there is guide on how to do that but you do need to be rooted

HBOOT modelId incorrect, the phone restarting with white screen
HI,
I did S-OFF using the revolutionary.io and when it asked for upgrade given Y, but it failed. But the S-OFF is done on my HTC sensation 4G. but when i copied the PM58IMG.zip and su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed on my SD card root. and starting in HBOOt first its asked for upgrade and pressed yes then it shown the below error
modelID incorrect.
from now on my HTC is not starting just the white screen with HTC then to HTC quitely brillient then repeating same. please help me how to solve this.
the HBOOT is now 1.27 before S-OFF its 1.18
thanking you inadvance
n00b question guys.
i just got a used Sensation. mine says ****LOCKED****
but next line says S-OFF.
does it mean my bootloader is unlocked?
i'm confused because i went to htc dev and got the unlock.bin file for my sensation. the problem is when i get to the final yes/no screen, i can only choose NO option. no matter how many times i press power button on yes, it won't work. only when i choose "no",it will reboot.
I need a small amount of help with my sensation.. I have been using mikes htc revolution hd for a while and the rom is good... however after his new update it now requires a firmware update.. not to fussed about doing this however but eventually decided to try it..
after downloading to the sdcard and rebooting to hboot the device asked me if I would like to update the image files and this was accepted.. It then rebooted and said update failed cid incorrect.
The phone was running hboot 1.18 - and revolutionary s-off
I am now stuck with hboot 1.23.0000 and although s-off I have a ***locked*** at the top of the hboot menu..
Can anyone give me a link to a possible fix or hboot update that would give me back the hboot 1.18???
Any help would be good to be honest...I am now limited to the roms I can use
when i was testing some roms i faced the same problem & i didnt know how to change the hboot alone so i just flashed a stock rom and got it back!!
Will that remove the locked status?

Thanks for your help however I kind of did the following to resolve my issue..
What I Did…
I found the following link and followed step 4 “STEP 4. WRITE SUPER CID [YOU ONLY NEED TO DO THIS ONCE]-“ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300
Once I had changed the cid number to “11111111” I went back to the firmware page and downloaded :
Firmware from 3.12.401.2/102 RUU
--- MD5 checksum: 3414D69D4985B69CE12221C1DF976C2D *PG58IMG.zip ---
Added this to the sd card rbooted phone in to hboot menu and agreed to update again.
The firmware updated successfully.
I have now been able to add rev hd 6.01 without issue.
I just need to look into why I still have ***locked*** on my hboot menu.
Thanks belalb3 for your help.
Before everyone jumps all over my a$$ and directs me to a "guide", here's the situation.
I ran the revolutionary S-off tool once before
Somehow I am now "SHIP S-OFF"
Revolutionary S-OFF tool won't run (I think because I'm HBOOT 1.23)
I've searched and searched but I gave up. Does anyone know what to do from here?
Try ur original ruu

Just flash the firmware from one of the two threads in development. Both have options with hboot 1.17 eng s-off I think.
Have you superCID?

If you intend to run ICS 1.17 is no bueno. You can just flash the 1.17 h boot. It's in the development forum.

Thanks for the help. I'm sure it has been covered many times before.
I don't want to paint myself into a corner, so tell me if this the right order of things:
Flash 1.17 HBOOT
S-off
flash original RUU
Boot up and flash new radio for the ROM I want (Revolution HD)
flash new ROM
Can I cut any of these steps out?
I can't flash firmware until I'm S-off
Cant S-off until I go HBOOT 1.17
I flashed the 1.17 HBOOT and it said I was CID:11111111
After flashing firmware 3.32, it says CID:TMOB010. WTF? Do I have to SuperCID each time?

Are you checking from fastboot with adb or terminal? Terminal will show your original cid. Fastboot shows your actual cid. I only ever had to super cid once and I flash firmwares all the time.
