How to get eng S-off - HTC Sensation

Before everyone jumps all over my a$$ and directs me to a "guide", here's the situation.
I ran the revolutionary S-off tool once before
Somehow I am now "SHIP S-OFF"
Revolutionary S-OFF tool won't run (I think because I'm HBOOT 1.23)
I've searched and searched but I gave up. Does anyone know what to do from here?

Try ur original ruu

Just flash the firmware from one of the two threads in development. Both have options with hboot 1.17 eng s-off I think.
Have you superCID?

If you intend to run ICS 1.17 is no bueno. You can just flash the 1.17 h boot. It's in the development forum.

Thanks for the help. I'm sure it has been covered many times before.
I don't want to paint myself into a corner, so tell me if this the right order of things:
Flash 1.17 HBOOT
S-off
flash original RUU
Boot up and flash new radio for the ROM I want (Revolution HD)
flash new ROM
Can I cut any of these steps out?
I can't flash firmware until I'm S-off
Cant S-off until I go HBOOT 1.17

I flashed the 1.17 HBOOT and it said I was CID:11111111
After flashing firmware 3.32, it says CID:TMOB010. WTF? Do I have to SuperCID each time?

Are you checking from fastboot with adb or terminal? Terminal will show your original cid. Fastboot shows your actual cid. I only ever had to super cid once and I flash firmwares all the time.

S-off help

I just downloaded and installed
RUU_Pyramid_TMOUS_1.27.531.2_Radio_10.42.9007.00P_ 10.11.9007.15_M_release_192098_signed
After install I went into bootloader and it says I am S-on.
Do I need to go through all the steps again to receive S-off?
Hmm weird my cid is still the same 11111111 but it still says S-on.
Hmm might be an easy way to get S-on for tmobile users.
Hboot: 1.17.0008
Guess it does turn S-on just received ota update to 2.3.4

I did read but this means download this ruu for t-mobile peeps and you do not have to turn S-on to return phone and take the slim chance of bricking your phone.
Can someone please confirm.
Crap my hboot is now 1.18.0000 after update.
Do not update........
I can not get S-off now

After the ota the hboot is 1.18.0000.
That's okay. Mine did same. Just go to the revolutionary site and following directions to get s_off.
Changing radio does not change s_on.

Hrm.
Well, I am on bootloader 1.20 without super cid. The zip meant to roll me back to 1.17 is giving me an error about an incorrect model id.

You need to add your CID and MID into.android-info.txt in the zip file.
fastboot getvar cid
fastboot getvar mid
Those are the commands I think
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio Z715e using xda premium
Gotcha. At that point, I should be able to use fastboot to super cid then flash the new firmware, correct?

Won't be able to use fastboot flash because that is an extended fastboot command and the new hboot doesn't support extended, only basic so you will have to flash the PG58IMG.zip through hboot
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio Z715e using xda premium
Okay. (Intermittently doing work right now. Thanks so much for the help.)
I add my cid and mid info to the zip that rolls me back to 1.17. Have that on my sd and boot into bootloader.
Now, I'd be 1.17, which should allow me to use fasboot to be super cid.
At this point, I can use an update zip for the new firmware, again putting it on the sd card and going into the bootloader.
Am I missing a step?
you can use fastboot on hboot 1.20. just supercid your phone and then flash the zip without changing anything

I have the same problem but I cannot get my Cid and Mid as Hboot 1.20 does not support the fastboot commands to get these. I've tried and it just hangs on waiting for device.

[Q] hboot 1.23

Hello, I'm on hboot 1.23 but s-on, I just want to know because somebody mentioned it before, an I actually stuck here? Literally forever? Because hboot 1.23 cannot flash other firmware files or any advanced fastboot commands.

Ahh S-ON, eek.
As Revolutionary won't work, can you use the HTC method to get S-OFF ?
If you can then do the PG58IMG.zip files work from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767
I flashed 1.27.1100 over 1.23.0000, then again I was S-OFF.
HTC method to s-off? Never heard of it.

OK Sorry wrong terminology, I was referring to: http://htcdev.com/bootloader
I know many folks have used the HTC unlock method, I don't know what the limitations with it are as I used Revolutionary. My thoughts were can you use the HTC Unlock process then flash the F/W using PB58IMG.zip back to 1.17 the use revolutionary to get full S-OFF. I don't know if that's possible but ......
I know they keep a record that you've used it on your phone.
no, that doesn't give you s-off, it just unlocks your bootloader, but thanks for trying!

It will not, it still leaves you s off, meaning you can't flash radios, firmwares, etc.

Either that or a new release RUU with hboot higher than 1.23, such as an official ICS RUU that will hopefully be released in March. The test RUUs that are currently available don't work - see here:

How did you flash to 1.27.1100? I have been trying to get my firmware updated so I can get ICS on my Sensation but it keeps giving me the "remote: not allowed" error. I have S-Off.

Flash the firmware from Mike's sticky. 3.24/3.25 gives hboot 1.27.1100, but I think this version is included with later fw releases too.
Does the remote: not allowed error appear in bootloader, relating to a particular part of the fw update - e.g. radio?

Yes you should be able to, just make sure it is the right one for your cid

r u sure that i can flash the ruu to relock my phone successfull to get official updates from htc...or can i get official update with stock rom but "unlocked from htcdev.com"
with
"unlocked"
and s-on status in bootloader
The RUU won't run properly as with s-on you cannot flash radio.img or boot.img. This guide will help with either return to stock or root/s-off.
