You need to add your CID and MID into.android-info.txt in the zip file.
fastboot getvar cid
fastboot getvar mid
Those are the commands I think

Gotcha. At that point, I should be able to use fastboot to super cid then flash the new firmware, correct?

Won't be able to use fastboot flash because that is an extended fastboot command and the new hboot doesn't support extended, only basic so you will have to flash the PG58IMG.zip through hboot
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio Z715e using xda premium
Okay. (Intermittently doing work right now. Thanks so much for the help.)
I add my cid and mid info to the zip that rolls me back to 1.17. Have that on my sd and boot into bootloader.
Now, I'd be 1.17, which should allow me to use fasboot to be super cid.
At this point, I can use an update zip for the new firmware, again putting it on the sd card and going into the bootloader.
Am I missing a step?
you can use fastboot on hboot 1.20. just supercid your phone and then flash the zip without changing anything

But in the bootloader I see "RELOCKED", how can I remove it?
I already flashed twice the original RUU, but it didn't work.

thats fine having relock wont hurt OTA update
the only requirements for OTA are
1.cid
2.stock recovery
3.stock non rooted rom
For this method you must have S-OFF!!
To remove the "RELOCKED" you must do this:
1. Download an HBoot from here Download
2. Put the downloaded PG58IMG.zip on your SD card. Attention!!! Do it in no folder!
3. Go into Bootloader
4. Follow the options on your screen.
5. Now you should have an HBoot called "REVOLUTIONARY"
6. If yes go on
7. Download an Sensation RUU
8. Go on with the RUU.
9. If it is done, go again in the bootloader
10. Now it called "LOCKED" S-OFF
11. If yes type this in ADB:
Code:
fastboot writesecureflag 3
fastboot reboot-bootloader
12. When your Sensation reboots and it shows you S-ON you are done
Attention: you are only take the responsibility for maybe bricks!!!

phil thats all fine
but even after doing all that he will still have RELOCKED
the problem is if after SOFF ..if any person did HTC-DEV unlock ...and relock he cant make it LOCKED ...but can only make it RELOCK (even Running RUU will give him RELOCKED only)
the only way ...is to go to stock ICS ..SON...then wire trick again (JB SOFF) ..that will give you either locked hboot or juopunutbear hboot (in jb hboot case a simple flash of stock hboot will take him back to locked state)
But he flash with my variation a Revolutionary HBoot.

OK Sorry wrong terminology, I was referring to: http://htcdev.com/bootloader
I know many folks have used the HTC unlock method, I don't know what the limitations with it are as I used Revolutionary. My thoughts were can you use the HTC Unlock process then flash the F/W using PB58IMG.zip back to 1.17 the use revolutionary to get full S-OFF. I don't know if that's possible but ......
I know they keep a record that you've used it on your phone.

Flash the firmware from Mike's sticky. 3.24/3.25 gives hboot 1.27.1100, but I think this version is included with later fw releases too.
Does the remote: not allowed error appear in bootloader, relating to a particular part of the fw update - e.g. radio?

First of all, it is not bricked. Moving forward you need to re-download the ROM to make sure it is not a corrupted download, then try to flash again.
In order it would be:
-re download ROM again (I would personally suggest a ginger bread ROM that doesn't require you to flash firmware and such)
-download super wipe
-put them both in your sd card, somewhere where you could find the files
-go into your recovery and flash the super wipe zip (found in the Android Revolution thread)
-flash ROM
-let it boot (it will take about 5 minutes)
-done

What is you hboot if it's 1.18 or below and since you're r now s-on you need to run an ruu for ics that is closes to you stock rom. To upgrade your firmware to an ics compatible firmware. If it's 1.2x then you can htc-dev unlock and if you want s-off use jb then flash 4ext recovery even if your just htc-dev unlock. If your just htc-dev unlocked in 4ext enable smart flash. Thanks for the help. I'm sure it has been covered many times before.
I don't want to paint myself into a corner, so tell me if this the right order of things:
Flash 1.17 HBOOT
S-off
flash original RUU
Boot up and flash new radio for the ROM I want (Revolution HD)
flash new ROM
Can I cut any of these steps out?
I can't flash firmware until I'm S-off
Cant S-off until I go HBOOT 1.17

fastboot reboot-bootloader right after didn't do the trick as well. ****
This didn't work for me either with hboot 1.06/s-off. I understood we needed and engineering hboot to flash a radio from fastboot.
I have hboot 1.06, before s-off i can flash radio with fastboot without any problem, with S-OFF i can't flash with fastboot.
