[Q] Sky-Ics 7.4 speed - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

Hi All,
just a quick question about Sky-Ics 7.4 speed, camera shutter sound. For some reason I cannot disable the camera shutter sound in this version, where else i was able to in the previous release of Sky-ICS.
Sorry i cant post in dev, so i had to make this thread. and i did search around and there was post on version 5 of Sky-ics and it says open camea app > settings > shutter sound. BUT in new 7.4 there is no such option for it.
Also i did install 7.0 speed first let it boot all the way and then went back in CW and install the 7.4 update.
thanks for reading and all your help.

U shouldn't be posting this in dev, this is where is belongs. Use Root Explorer and delete the shutter audio file in /system/media/audio/ui. The camera audio files are there if u don't like there sound either

Thank you for the tip it works.

[Q] G Tablet Camera compression too high / media_profiles.xml help

Hello,
My G Tablet running CM7 Nightly #79 (had the same issue even in stable) is having an issue with the camera. The images I take are super highly compressed (in every one of the picture quality option). The preview is fine, however when you go to open the picture it is very bad quality and the file size is tiny. Also, in the camera app, if I go to take a video, the preview is fine until you click record and then the preview window freezes while the clock appears and ticks up, and then you click to stop and it does, but I seem to get a force close (even when I go to select different qualities I get a force close). But yes, when I ran the stock ROM I had no issues, and even when I ran TnT Lite I had no problems. So I was wondering if someone that had a working camera could maybe post their media_profiles.xml from their /system/etc/ folder? maybe that would be a solution. I know others have had this issue, but I have not seem to have found a solution out there.
Thanks a lot! Really appreciate all the work and effort out there in the android community.

This is a known issue in CyanogenMod and the devs are working on it.
For now, you can use the Camera Fun Free app from Market. I haven't tried it, but others on the board here have reported that it works for taking pictures.
Could this be a fix?

[Q] Stock Thunderbolt 2.0 Camera .apk?

okay so I am running Das Bamf 2.0.5 and I amongst others are having some camera issues...i would like to know if anyone has been able to get the stock thunderbolt camera running on this port...if so, could one please provide me where I can find this .apk and get it working on Das Bamf 2.0.5 rom? I have downloaded the HTCCamera.apk and it is not the one that was on the stock thunderbolt...it is still kind of laggy and it has a different effect (dots) and also it has an icon that if you press it switches from back to front camera. to do that in the stock camera you would hit menu and it would open settings and you would switch it from there.
I appreciate any replies concerning the question i have and thank you very much!

[Q] RG2x MIUI - Where is the CAMERAAAAA???

[Q] Button Configuration

Ok, I'm pretty sure we will need a custom Rom for this, but I just wanted to ask someone smarter than me if there was a build prop tweak or anything that would allow for long pressing the back button to kill an app a la cyanogenmod 7. Also is there anyway (without a custom rom) to enable volume buttons to capture photos in the stock camera app? I know there's some app in the play store that does but it's only with the apps camera and it's garbage. These were probably my two favorite and most used tweaks on my Atrix and I've come to miss them. I didn't post in Q and A since it's flooded with HELP!/BROKEN PHONE questions and I feel that this is a legitimate question.

[Q] Mono video recording in Racing Bean v3.1 custom rom and xperia arc s

Hello,
I've installed the Racing Bean v3.1 on my Xperia Arc S. However, I'm having mono video recording on "Camera ICS".
This is one of the first things I'm changing everytime I install a new ICS rom, because by default I always change the file media_profiles.xml on /system/etc, section <AudioEncoderCap... to have maxChannels="2".
This always works for me to fix stereo video recording on other roms, but not for Racing Bean. I suppose that this is caused by Camera ICS.
How can I fix this ? I would like to have my videos in Stereo because i like it a lot. Is it related to editing another config file ? Can I revert to some other 'stock' camera ?
Another problem I've found is that the feature 'Silly faces' on Camera ICS always crashes. I CAN live without it :cyclops:
Thanks in advance !
I think you should post this question in racing bean's thread, i believe there's answer in there,
It will be better if you mention what other ROM that you used, and the kernel.
do some search in the thread first though.
Cheers

Thanks ,i'll do it. I was asking hdre because there is an indication for new users to put questions in this forum rather than the specific one.
