It's amazing that google effort into making such a nice news app, but yet somehow forgot a widget.
Would this be something extremely difficult to make?
It seems crazy to me that they would have a widget for Reader but not Currents.

This is the #1 reason why I don't use currents anymore. That and when I used it, if the Web article you were reading had multiple pictures, the app read them as separate pages. So a 3-4 page article turned into a 50-60 article.

I can't believe they don't have a widget for this otherwise awesome news aggregator. All their major competition has some sort of widget...even something like google genie would be better than nothing...of course scrollable would be preferred.

This was just a test project because I was curious on learning widgets, I don't even know how to make an actual app yet. I someday will though, I'm intuitive enough.
I also...don't think there are WIDGET cores yet, just those "soundboard" ones. This does not talk to you, and will never threaten to stab you. Feel free to read it though.
Current Widgets:
Fact Core
Space Core
Adventure Core
Instructions: (fairly simple)
Add Widget
Read Widget
Tap Core For New Quote
Repeat from step 2.

The latter has a better shot. I was considering this in the initial release. Every 30 seconds or so.

If any App Developers see this, a nudge in the right direction involving a widget configuration example would be nice.

Since I don't use sense based roms often anymore (Absolution has taken hold of me), I don't have the included weather widget (which is my honest opinion was always kinda nice to have,nice 5 day forecast and all that stuff) Just wondering what weather widget/apps you guys are using

Good thing about buying it, is that you'll always have it... Well as long as beautiful weather is around. In my area we aren't getting the best of weather Whats a dollar or two gonna do to you? Back on topic.
Yes +1 to all posts above me about beweather...
I've had Go Weather and at first it looks nice and runs good. But kept giving me a notification about location not set, but it was set to find my location based on gps...blah blah blah, annoyance. So i went with beweather and always use it on non-sense roms which is now lol.
Ok enough with typing.. Too much mountain dew in my blood stream.
I personally love bweather because of looking like sense and weather alerts plus it is customisable.

I used to use Fancy Widgets, but Beweather allows me to change the font size of the clock. And it's got very beautiful animations. And they have good weather alerts. And it doesn't seem to chew through batteries like Beautiful Widgets. And...

It can be done in UOT Kitchen. One of the greatest tools you can learn to use. If you want a different battery, check out the ones in the OTA in Absolutiontools or just send me a PM with what you're looking for and I can see if I can cook it up for you in the kitchen...honestly though take a peak at the kitchen and just goof around...a lot of fun.

I really like weatherbug , You have the option to install a few widgets but you cant beat the live dopplar radar . I do have sense 3.0 and you cant beat the look of the weather apps and I have seen beautiful widgets , but weatherbug for me has been old faithful , give her a try

That was the first weather app I tried when I left Sense for good way back when, it was okay, I agree the live radar was nice but in the end and after all the positive feedback I gave beweather a look, it was that stock sense look with a lot of little extras..so that's what I've been using since.

Actually, I didn't try beweather out at first only because you recommended it...since you know, I don't value your judgement or opinion....lololololol
Looks so promising cause it brings Flipboard like qualities to Android, but there's no lover for my Transformer.
Can't post link to app on Marketplace yet cause i don't have enough posts, but search for Google Currents and it should be there to find.
P.S. didn't see any topic on this here...

Android had a lot of options in apps with photo filters, this one is only nice because it gives you access to the instagram social network, that's mostly why I have it now
Instagram is like picture Twitter.
And I don't know why iPhone users want Instagram to not be available on Android...

Oh yeah i can't wait to be part of a look at me social network (Rapidly becoming a MASSIVELY abused phrase IMHO) where people who don't even comprehend the concept of 'the light needs to be at your back' produce innovative and insightful images on 3-5mp cameras with 3mm lens and shutter speeds usually measured in whole seconds ........... one advantage ive noticed with google keep over evernote so far after a few mins is the integration it has with google now just press the google now button and say "note to self..." and say something that you want to remember for later" it stores in the app.
this app for now has def replaced my evernote and any.do will see how well it lasts over time, I took all my notes and such from evernote already imported into google keep thanks to the website, and will test google keeps check boxes to fully replace any.do which is a cool app for a shopping list or honey do's that me and my wife used alot, hoping it goes well and will replace evernote and any.do from my daily usage.

maybe they thought folders would clutter the app/look/feel of the app. seems like they aimed for it to be minimalistic which it sure is.
