I have tiny black dots on my LCD/screen. I dropped my phone earlier but the impact wasn't that bad. Is it hardware related or something else possibly. All screenshots are black.

Kernel problems maybe...Are u rooted?If so try changing to a diff kernel

only way to know if it is software or hardware is to flash a new rom. if the problems goes away you know if it doesn't you also know your anwser as well.

Are you seeing it on the keyboard only? ...and specifically when the device is rotated horizontally?
Take a screenshot, if it captures it then we know its displaying like that on purpose, if its hardware it may not capture it.

Definitely sounds like a hardware glitch to me. Take it back and exchange it.
