It will be a battle I will worry about in a year. I've been on a 9-12 month upgrade cycle since I got my G1 on release. Now VZW has killed the early upgrade program, so that could get expensive fast.

So I tried it on my phone and it worked. Maybe others are already aware of this, but I wasn't.
Go into settings, about phone, and repeatedly tap firmware version. Something should happen!

Yeah I think many people could learn a lot seeing how it went from humble beginnings to now pretty much every major Rom owes some degree of sucess to the advancements Cyanogenmod made.
