Hello all,
I have been looking for a while to find a good matrix boot animation. I have searched for quite some time, but none really looked or worked the way I wanted them to. I was looking for one that started with a single line of code dropping from the screen. As it hits the middle/bottom a few more would drop, and then progressively the screen would fill with "raining code." All of the ones I have used have just been a wall of the code falling and it didn't progress the way I wanted them to. Adding the typical sound, or Morpheus saying Welcome to the real world, would be added awesomeness. If anyone could point me in the right direction for something similar I would greatly appreciate it. I understand it may mean some customization and creation, and understand if it can't be done. I thank you for your time reading this post already.

wow! Actually, I love this idea and think it would be a wicked sick animation. I might even prefer it to the pink unicorn in AOKP (which, thus far, is hands down my favorite animation)
Holy crap, typing that out made it finally occur to me that pink unicorn was one of the best kinds of LSD going around when I was young lol

Here is the pink/purple unicorn animation they use. First time I saw it I about died. It was fun. Is still fun, honestly.

For aosp, just name bootanimation and put in system/media, for sense it goes in system/customize/resource (I believe, but I don't know how the naming needs to be). But I'm sure you know all that, you're the premier boot animation guy .

I've done very very small animations and know how troublesome and annoying they can be. I can see this being near impossible, but also that it will be long and tedious project. Anyone to attempts to undertake this has my most sincere thanks. And possibly a few beers...

So since I'm under 8 posts I cannot link to the.... real world. Sorry I had to. Anywho I googled welcome to the real world matrix and the 4 sec youtube vid is there. Also, there is the first website link, labeled Th Matrix (wav \ MP3 sound clips). And at the bottom of the page there is a link labeled Matrix welcome to the real world sound effect. Hope this helps....otherwise I will random comment and get 5 more posts... lol

I'm not sure if we're on the same page, Dased. There is no boot sound with AOKP/unicorn boot. The unicorn boot is what I posted a link to, as it seemed that's what you were asking for.

I made an Aperture Laboratories one yesterday and a Wheatley Laboratories one today. The Aperture one isn't posted on XDA yet. The limitations to new users are kinda goofy, so I am going to wait.

+1 for this request... Loved Portal, Portal 2 just added on to the cynical greatness.
I was thinking of something along the lines of the 46 second mark... Maybe even have the little android robot and "Android" in Portal 2 font.

Well, the sample frame in the op was created from scratch in Photoshop (except for the android logo...). And I'm using a program I found on xda to create the zip files, can't remember the exact name, but it's something along the lines of 'boot animation creator/compiler'. Hope that's enough info, just waiting for at least ten poll responses in the positive before I release an animation...
Oh, and they'll be generic not showing affiliation to anything but android. Unless people request otherwise.

Ok, I fell off the horse... Now I'll get back on!
Here's my first (preliminary) bootanimation. It has freexperia branding, but if you want different text I can change it!
The framerate kind of sucks, but I'll improve that soon. If you want to preview the animation, download this program.
PS: If you have thoughts on color schemes or other bootanimations, I am open to suggestions!

Yeah like a wolf howling at a moon sort of so the moon is static but you can see the wolfs head moving so it looks like hes howling like what i have attatched but his mouth moving

What kind of Bootanimation are you looking for? i kinda try to do something (*look at my gears and androidhoneycomb 3.1 bootanimation) if you can give me some reference maybe i can work on something.

Well the looping part could be something like the TARDIS fading in and out like its about to travel through time/space. The beginning part doesn't really matter that much.

well here in the forum we have one done by williamfol post here, he made it for a Phone but the idea can be done for a Tablet. Check it out and let me know.

Looks good but I don't think I would like it in tablet size. Too busy, I like things simple.

I uploaded these earlier, but uploaded to the wrong section. These all work, just overwrite your old boot animations. I would upload a picture but the site doesn't let me upload images from other sites yet, sorry... Hope you guys like them.
EDIT: adding a "do a barrel roll" bootanimation. Yes, I was so bored the other day I decided to make it for the hell of it. Included are 2 .mp3's with the barrel roll remix, one with a 5 second delay at the beginning, one without. I added in the delay because the animation lags a little at the beginning..
Also, I will take requests on bootanimations. I'll see if I have time to do some of them, but its final's time for me. Come May 1st I should be able to work on them constantly.
And if you like them/use them, please hit the thank button. It will encourage me to keep uploading whatever I do for you all, (even if making a boot animation is pretty easy, I'd still appreciate it..).
Have a feeling no one was really liking the inverted trollface so I uploaded the non-inverted one as a boot animation. If anyone wants the troll face song .mp3 just leave a message here and I'll upload that as well.
If anyone cares, I uploaded my "do a barrel roll" bootanimation that I made out of sheer boredom the other night.
I am taking bootanimation requests if anyone has them. Read the first post for details.

Ok, I used the best .gif I could find. It had a watermark from where someone had gifsoup make it so I did my best, (I think I did a pretty good job haha), of getting rid of it. I included it where it just loops through infinitely, but feel free to change the first 0 to reflect the number of loops you want it to make. Hope it looks ok, if you have a specific .gif you want me to use link it here and I'll make it for you!

My fault, I forgot to test it before I uploaded it... I'm too tired right now to fix it, I'll fix it when I get up tomorrow. It was a 30 frame .gif, but flash keeps exporting over 100 frames so I must be doing something wrong haha.. Sorry its taking so long

I have attempted to apply my rather limited skill set to the boot logo, damn warning aggravates me every time I think about it. I figured it wouldn't hurt to get a thread started to discuss some possibilities as to how this might be changed.

actually i believe my current record still lies with the blaze 4g, i had rooted them and had cwm built and up in less than 5 mins
as for the logo, i have the stock images in dev section in case you do decide to muck around and break something ;P

Made a bit of headway here w out destroying anything... no more warning image anyway. I need to adjust something tho, hex settings probably, picture isn't coming out right. Still better than that damn warning label.

Hell his method is much easier than the guide I saw that was saving it as a bmp and hex editing this and that.

I haven't had to hex edit with this phone, but I do have to reverse the red & blue color channels. Guessing that isn't necessary w the Razr.
