[Q] Error can't mount /sdcard

I successfully rooted, unlocked bootloader, and flashed CyanogenMod 9 Alpha 5 but when I boot my phone up, it shows that the SD card is ready to be removed in the pull down notification tray. I only have access to the allocated internal storage. When I plug the phone into my computer, the shows up as a removable disk but when I click on it, the computer prompts me to insert a disk. If I try to switch to USB drive mode on the phone, it doesn't do anything either.
I've tried to mount the sdcard in ClockworkMod Recovery but it just gives me "error can't mount /sdcard"
I'm going out of my mind trying to fix this. Does anyone know how I possibly could? I did not save a recovery to flash because I didn't know that I had to before I flashed the ROM and now I'm stuck and do not know what to do. If I could get any help at all, it would be so appreciated. Thank you!
Oh by the way, I'm on the Rogers HTC One X.

[Q] Nexus S can't see sdcard

Hi All,
I've just updated my Nexus S i9023 to the latest stable Cyanogen Mod (10.1.3) and am now having problems seeing the internal sdcard. I've tried flashing 10.2 RC1 as well as mounting it via recovery mode but everything I do fails to get it to mount.
Would any body have suggestions on how to troubleshoot this (best place to look for logs to find errors) or have come across this before and know how to resolve it?

when you turn off your nexus, then turn on holding volume up and power, can you enter into mode where you can access your sd card?
Can you see your files from sd then?

No, It doesn't see it in recovery either. If I go to Mounts and Storage section and do a "Mount /sdcard" it just give a "Error mounting /sdcard!" warning
Same if I try to format /sdcard. I just get
Code:
Formatting /sdcard....
Error mounting /sdcard!
Skipping format...
Done
A couple of other pieces of the puzzle
The phone was encrypted before upgrade (and since reencrypted)
When I go to settings -> storage, I see what looks like the contents of the storage flashing up before disappearing
HI there.
I used to have same problem all day and I found a solution which works for me.
Under flashboot I put older version of recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.0-crespo. Only with this one it allows me to see actually usb mount storage.
I still can't mount the storage card for flash, but I can see it in my laptop. So I do full format in fat32. (It takes about an hour).
After that everything was fine.
Hope this works for you too.

You cannot mount storage on Nexus devices. You were right with pushing a rom with adb, but it seems your drivers aren't installed correctly. Fix the driver problem and you'll be able to push with adb.

Thank you very much, I had lost all my hopes and then your message striked a string in my head and I was so silly doing the adb thing in the bootloader! haha .. it will obviously response as device not found if not done in the recovery.:laugh:

[Q] S7500T CWM Unable to mount USB storage

Hello,
My partner's S7500T (Australian Telstra version) went into a boot loop after an update from a game and we want to recover some files from the internal sd card.
From other threads I've tried CWM 5.0.2.8 to get to the files but when I select mount USB storage, it brings up E:Unable to write to ums lunfile. Searching on the internet, I've figured it's a partially incompatible version of CWN for the phone since there isn't one available normally.
Is there any way we can get the files? Thankyou for any help.

USB Storage is not supported on Ace plus.
You can recover files using ADB (Don't know if it works in CWM), or flash Stock ROM.
