I can't post in bootloader dev thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1328714&page=28 so I'll post here to ask the question.
This was brought up:
tylercarter
strange mine doesnt say locked or unlocked. am i doing something wrong? where can i find the info? i thought i just held both volume rockers and power on. says "AP fastboot Flash Mode (s)" 0A.65
i know on the razr is says locked or unlocked and gives a value of 1 - 4 but i dont have that either.
maybe "s" is for special lol
mtnlion
no it means stuck like the rest of us
zoide_
Mine says:
--------------------------------
AP Fastboot Flash Mode (S)
0A.65
Battery OK
OK to Program
Connect USB
Data Cable
--------------------------------
I got excited there for a moment because it didn't say LOCKED. Then I read mtnlion's post and he crushed my dreams

So I checked mine and got this:
Boot mode selection menu (0A.65)
press volume up/down blah blah
normal powerup
recovery
apfastboot
bp tools
I got this from holding vol up/down and then holding power until this screen came on. So..... is this locked or unlocked? I don't have the (S) that everyone else is saying. Can someone let me know?

I was in the same position after I flashed the FXZ got the same screen. I chosse BP Tools and my phone booted up and I hope it works for you!!!
You are still locked.... We have not found an atrix2 with an unlocked bootloader yet. And there are not any "developer" edition phones with the unlocked bootloader that we can copy it from, since they don't have them for this phone (I have tried very hard to get one, and can't find them).
thanks for the heads up. I was hoping since I didn't see the (s) that I would get lucky.
Thats just the first screen. Go into the AP Fastboot menu option and you will see the other screen that was mentioned.

Hi,
This is my first time ever being on this site! I have never dealt with any rooting or modifying before. I was unlocking a moto g with Telus I got a code online and I entered it in and my phone began to get a problem. A white display shows up saying WARNING BOOTLOADER UNLOCKED! and then afterwards it shows a black screen and the process repeats again. I have tried to do the flash boot were I hold power and volume up but when I select a option it goes right back to the warning display. I am not sure what to do any help would be greatly appreciated! I have installed motorola device manager on my computer but it says its up to date and that I have the current version. Sometimes also when I plug it into the computer during the white warning display my computer recognizes the phone and tries to install some drivers but it never completes because the phone reboots.
I have tried following a youtube guide but it hasn't helped as I'm clueless on what to do.
Thanks in advance!

Hi guys,
Today I pull out my mix 2s from the charger and I had a black screen. When I press the power button the screen flickers, but goes black.
I have the bootloader locked and no USB debugging active.
I'm able to boot in fastboot (always with black screen)
And somehow I think I've managed to reset the phone (key combination withing the xiaomi recovery)
For a second I was able to see the xiaomi boot logo while connecting the phone to the pc, but it went black again..
I've tried the xiaomitool (but no USB debugging)
Xiaomi PC suite does not detect the phone
MI flash tool says it cannot flash with locked phone...
Do you have any other idea?

you could try to use fastboot image to flash?!

Unfortunately when I try, it says that I don't have permission to do so...
Also I've figured out that if I leave the phone alone for like 8h when I turn it on I get to see the xiaomi logo followed by a blank screen...
What could this be?

i would guess something is messed up with the system… doesn't look like the screen is bricked or something… do you get into the fastboot loader mode? press and hold power and volume down.... normaly you should see the fastboot "logo" then..

Im able to boot in fastboot and sideload, but always with a black screen
i dont have unlocked bootloader neither usb debugging active
After all it is a screen issue...
In order to empty the battery (i wanted to try to circle the battery, maybe it would help with issue) I pressed the power button straight and the phone kept rebooting (vibrating each time it reboots)
At the 5th reboot.. The screen went on. (it's like the hardware is forced to work somehow)
However the touch was not working..
After a few minutes the screen started to flicker and it completely distorted the screen image.
Now, after the 5 reboots the screen comes on but with a distorted image.
I'll send it back and ask for a refund.
Thanks.

Just going to leave this as an open request...
If anyone has a brand new phone or one they've literally NEVER used the EDL tool on before-- I'm curious to know if the bootloader on this phone has a stock menu at all.
If anyone has a completely stock phone that has never been unlocked and can try this - try to reboot the phone into the bootloader. No risk of doing anything to your phone to try this - just reset the phone via the menu or by holding down the power button until it resets. Then hold both Vol+ and Vol- buttons down BEFORE the phone vibrates and shows the ZTE screen and keep holding them. If you were holding power, release it as soon as you see the ZTE logo.
If that doesn't work and the phone just keeps booting, try again but this time hold just the Vol+ button instead until the Recovery menu shows up (definitely does exist on the stock). Pick the 2nd option to reboot into bootloader.
Let me know if both of those methods just go straight to booting the OS, or if there's a stock a bootloader menu they pull up. And if so, maybe send a picture would be nice. But mostly I'm just trying to find out if the stock ROM had a bootloader menu at all.
It does not, this is enabled with the eng abl from unjustufied devs bootloader unlock tool.

Thanks rafy. I thought so but couldn't be sure since I lost one of my original abl's I thought maybe it could just be a problem with my stock bootloader. Sucks that there's no stock fastboot because in A10 the bootloader won't load.
I saw you made a breakthrough with GSI support btw, nice! I ran out of time to tinker around with the phone as much as I was, would have loved to get more involved. Thanks for the work though, hopefully more people get involved as I do think there's plenty of possibilities for this phone. :good:
Not a virgin device but this info may be useful:
This is the Recovery on my A2020U after:
1. I unlocked the bootloader while on A9;
2. I upgraded to A10 using the official SD card update;
3. Booted by holding Vol+ and Power.

That was helpful, thanks. The theme on A10 recovery is funny because the first time I installed A10 was right after I tried out LOS16 and the theme colors are so similar I thought the recovery from that had somehow stayed around. A9 had recovery too but the menu was less graphical. Neither A9 or A10 has a bootloader menu though (Vol+/-).
Recently, I have bought a Samsung Galaxy S10e with 6 GB Ram and 128 GB Rom from Hong Kong because I acknowledge that the Chinese and Hong Kong versions are able to unlock the boot loader despite having the cpu chipset Snapdragon 855. After I have bought it for almost a week, I finally have some spare time to unlock the boot loader by updating the phone into the latest version and turning on the oem unlock in the developer settings, then restart the phone to get into the download mode (yeah, the method is a bit different from the Exynos vesion). At first, the progress was very smooth and I faced no obstacles, however, when I try to flash TWRP into my phone through Odin, it bricked after restart as shown in the two pictures uploaded. I am now currently cannot booting the device into recovery mode or download mode, the only things I can do is pressing the power and volume down button long enough to reboot the S10e. Therefore, I would like to ask if anyone help me fix this issue, thank you.

If you're getting stuck on the "Samsung S10e" screen after trying to flash TWRP, I was in the same boat. I got into Download Mode by:
Unplugging the phone from USB to my computer
Holding VolDown + Bixby + Power
When the screen turns off to reboot, release Power, but keep holding VolDown + Bixby
After releasing Power, plug the USB cable into the phone to my computer
It's also really unhelpful for OP to just post "Problem Solved" without sharing how it was done.

Indeed. First asking for help and then being unwilling to share own knowledge is rude and not welcome on XDA. @kk5321513
I just unlocked the bootloader, installed TWRP and Magisk. I factory reset the phone in TWRP then uninstalled Magisk later. The phone reboot and stuck in booting screen. What should I do? MSM back to stock? Thanks.
Update1: I'm able to get into TWRP.
Update 2: I just MSMed back to stock.

This happened to me yesterday. Just hold the power button for a while and it should go forward. You might have to make sure you're not plugged into the charger also, but I can't remember if I did or not.
Doesn't work for me. Tried holding the power for a loooong time, does nothing. Tried vol down + power, does nothing. Tried vol up + power, device restarts, but comes back to that error screen. Mine is IN2019 (Verizon).
